The restaurant is primarily catering only to Tapas. The menu selection is small. The Tapas selection is wide, but of course being tapas you only get so much per plate. If you are someone seeking for a nice sit-down dinner, I would not recommend going to La Tasca. However, if you want to enjoy a few drinks with some "snacks" then La Tasca would be ideal. Tapas are certainly small dishes to share and enjoy with a few drinks. We went for a friend's birthday celebration with the intention of staying for the Dj night which made easy to grab a booth against the wall in the dancing area to have somewhere to sit during the rest of the night. The Dj night on Saturday's is great, this part I would highly recommend because the music and the general atmosphere of the restaurant is amazing to dance the night away with great company.
I had been to la Tasca a few years ago and my family decided to go for my husband's birthday. The food was fine, but the portions were small, and quite pricey. I'm not sure there was one stand out dish that I could rave about. I must admit there are other restaurants I enjoy more and will frequent more regularly.
We had the gazpacho, baby beet salad, patatas bravas and croquetas. All very enjoyable. Rioja wine by the glass was fine, as was the Stella beer. It was a bit noisy, but we could still hear each other. We would have preferred a bit more quiet, but it was not unbearable like in some other places.
A nice neighborhood place with good food and reasonable prices, so it's a keeper.
Easy to get to and parking is close by. Food was good once our server brought what we ordered. The space is nice and bright and you can find a table that the music is not overwhelming so you can have a conversation.
This was brunch with our two adult children. The food, as always, was great. Get the fried dates!! It's really nice to get a number of small plates for sharing.
Nice spot for a tapas meal with sangria. Helpful waitstaff made for a pleasant meal.
Great food and service as usual.
Food was delicious. Portions small, so between the three of us, we needed to order about 6 plates, which with drinks, dessert, and coffee, ends up making this quite expensive.
Our favorite Spanish restaurant in our area. Great food and sangrias at reasonable price.
This was our stop before the movie and it was great!! I had previously taken the paella class and intended to come back for tapas. It was wonderful & I intend
to come back. Get the bacon wrapped dates & the lamb chops, excellent.
Awesome food. Amazing sangrias. Great brunch deal ($2 sangrias/mimosas, $22 for three tapas). Friendly staff. Not crowded at all for Saturday brunch so we were allowed to stay as long as we wanted.
Great experience as always. One of my favorites!!!!
the manchego frito was amazing-- can't wait to go back for it. skip the tomato salad off season.
The small plate tapas portions were small. I would have needed two or three plates. I think there is better value in going to a traditional restaurant.
Good food, but weird service. Tapas is supposed to be little dishes brought to the table in a somewhat staggered manner so that that experience lingers. ALL of the food showed up at the table at the same time BEFORE my companion had her cocktail. It didn't feel like a tapas experience.
This was the start of a dinner & a movie date, and the food was great, the service excellent. Not only that, but the outing was really fun, given that tapas always run a wide range of flavors & textures, so it's an experience in itself. All of the tapas were really good... the langostino & avocado salad could have used more of the advertised ingredients, but was nevertheless excellent. The bistek & mojo picon really hit the spot! A tapas favorite every time!
This was a Valentine's deal. 79.99 for 6 tapas, a bottle if wine and a sweet cocktail with dessert. Good value. Good excellent as always.
Always liked this place. Good food and drinks. Good location and is a local GEM!
It's a nice authentic Spanish place with great food and ambiance.
The valentines meal was v
Celebrating friends birthdays and we all had a great time. Food and drinks were great. We also had churros and they were good too. We were there long enough for a little dancing before heading home. Good times.
Full disclosure, I'm no expert on tapas. However, I have been eating all my life which is longer than the combined age of the wait staff of two when my wife and visited on a slow, cold Tuesday evening . The food was good, not exceptional. Service was friendly and we were entertained by the ice skaters we could see from our window table. It was what we expected. No less or more and we enjoyed it. What else can you ask for!
Service was great
Great food. All the tapas we had were excellent especially the sample cheese board.
Our meal was good, our server was attentive, all around no complaints. I like the idea of tapas, but find myself disappointed in the execution most of the time. I'd rather have a standard protein, vegetable, appetizer, dessert meal, but tapas are a nice change up. It has been many years since I have been to a La Tasca and I can't really remember the menu, but it seems to me like the menu was very small for a place that is supposed to specialize in small plates.
One of my favorite places. Small plates or larger. All around the food never disappoints. Empanadas are full of great flavors and always on point. Variety of sangria is great too. Looking forward to the happy hour coming back.
All of the staff were friendly and hospitable. The hostess and our server Brendon checked on us quite a lot during our meal. The food was ok, would’ve liked to taste more garlic and butter flavor in the mussels. Presentation was beautiful, elegant. Lots of interesting and healthy food choices all reasonably priced.
Their food is quite pricey, but I would still recommend this place for the quality of their food and the ambiance. It is what you get for the price you paid for.
Only one negative comment, their light is too dim that I struggle to read their menu. I ended up asking our server what she can suggest for us to try in the menu.
Service wise, it is okay but not outstanding.
Tuvimos un buen tiempo!!, buen ambiente, buena música y muy rica la comida, esperamos regresar .
Wonderful delicious fun New Years Eve
Terrible Service on Xmas Eve Dinner. The restaurant was not completed booked and yet the hostess refused to give us a bigger table. There were many empty tables while we were there the entire time
My family and I have been here several times. It is always good, has many interesting selections, and the food arrives in a timely manner. This place is much better than Jaleo and more reasonably priced.
Paella for two was delicious. Could be called a comfort dish. Sangria was strong and tasty. Will likely go back.
good food and good service in a comfortable setting.
We went for the tapas and sangria brunch special and ordered 9 tapas, and they were all amazingly delicious! The best ones were the lamb meatballs, steak, fried eggplant, empanadas, bacon wrapped dates, and salmon. And $2 sangrias and mimosas are hard to beat. Would definitely come back again.
The food was just okay. The service was poor, several dishes never came out until the end of our dining, including our kids meals. Seriously, a hamburger and a grilled cheese sandwich took the longest to make? Prices seemed high for what you get. We did not like the sangria.. our waiter spilled a drink over our table and things but did not apologize.
Great food, as usual. Love the fried eggplant. The calamari, and lamb chops were also excellent. It's a little noisy, so not a great place for a quiet conversation, but we knew that. We go for the delicious food.
Great place for trying new things since you're not making a commitment to a full entree. We were able to dine al fresco on a non-humid (!) July evening.
