The food was just okay. The service was poor, several dishes never came out until the end of our dining, including our kids meals. Seriously, a hamburger and a grilled cheese sandwich took the longest to make? Prices seemed high for what you get. We did not like the sangria.. our waiter spilled a drink over our table and things but did not apologize.

Great food, as usual. Love the fried eggplant. The calamari, and lamb chops were also excellent. It's a little noisy, so not a great place for a quiet conversation, but we knew that. We go for the delicious food.

Great place for trying new things since you're not making a commitment to a full entree. We were able to dine al fresco on a non-humid (!) July evening.

Seated promptly outside. Tried the 3 Tapas for $ 22.00 menu option with $ 2.00 sangria special. Food delivered hot and meat was cooked to right temperature. All selections (lamb meatballs, grilled squid and exotic mushrooms were delicious! Very pleased with dining experience.

I celebrated my wedding anniversary. Our server was super! Food was great overall. I had a very loud and talkative next table. When I talked to my husband, I felt like yelling at him in order to be heard.

I've booked a table for 8 people to get together for happy hour. Upon our arrival, no table was reserved. We inquired about sitting outside but were told that happy hour is only inside. Furthermore, there are only a few armchairs which are somehow reserved for happy hour, and they were already taken. We were told that there's a rooftop happy hour event, which turned out to be standing only and without food (two of my friends went to check it out). After a few minutes, the manager agreed to let us have a few tables in the "non-happy hour" area. The food was delicious, as always, but the server really had no idea what he was talking about. When a friend asked about their beers, he didn't know what they serve or was able to give them an idea about the flavors. Likewise, he had no idea about the size of the plates.
I'll probably go back because I like the food, but the experience we had is nothing to write home about.

Really good food! Although disappointed that items on menu on the website were not available. I.e. Tuna. But sangria and everything we ordered was delicious!

It's a great spot to hear the music at Rockville Town Square on Friday nights. Get the table on the side just by the road. It's quiet and a little secluded so you can hear the band and still be able to talk to your date or spouse. Good sangria too!!!

Wonderful place to celebrate, really tasty and creative food for all my vegetarian friends, my 90-year old mother, my 20 something kids, my girlfriends. Great wine, sangria, small plates. Nice service and the atmosphere is nice too. Homey and also vibrant.

We sat in the outdoor area as it was warm Raster Sunday. All four of us were pleased with our selections which were quite tasty. The sangria was refreshing. We highly recommend the Tapas brunch: three plates for $22 and $2 sangria, mimosa or Bloody Mary.

Loved having Sunday Brunch at La Tasca! The Sangria Brunch is a great deal and comes with a ton of fantastic tapas options. Couldn't pick a favorite because they were all so great! Would definitely come back for more.

The last time I dined at La Tasca I fell in love with their Paella Mixta. Was counting down the days to experience this dish once again and was not disappointed! By the way I also rate the Mango Blackberry Sangria 2 Thumbs Up.

Good selection of delectable Tapas. Only disappointment was the potato tapas - just not what was expected and a little light on the flavor. Food was brought to the table quickly and yet we did not feel rushed at all. The blueberries in the sangria were very tasty.

We used to love La Tasca, and came here often. However this time was an unpleasant experience. They have changed the menu, removing some of our favorite dishes. The food that we did order was not freshly cooked, rather it seemed to have been reheated in the microwave. When we complained it wasn't hot, they just put it in the microwave for a longer period of time. We will not be returning.

I was looking forward to a nice Spanish dinner so we ordered the Sangria and a platter of jamon. the drink was awful and the appetizer was ok. The tapas were the worst Brussels sprouts were dry and were most likely put in microwave before serving.
I would not recommend this place to anyone with all the good options out there

Went out to dinner on a Friday night. Started off with fried calamari, crab cakes, and chicken empanadas. Loved all three and decided to try the beef empanadas as well. The strawberry basil drink was a little to sweet for my taste, but still delicious. Our server was very attentive. Will probably go back soon to try more of their food options

Always enjoy it here; always lots of good energy. The staff is helpful and friendly and the tapas are pretty decent. They may not meet the standards of José Andrés, but for the price they are good. The La Tasca tasting menu is worth the extra $5 over the Classic. We always end up with extras with just the two of us on things and so end up feeding bites of lots of *new* dishes to the kids. And the kids love the place. Town Square remains a great addition to the city and La Tasca to the Square.

Our food arrived all at once, which isn't what I would normally expect with tapas. Because they had waited for everything to be ready before delivering it, half of the food was cold when it arrived. We asked the food runner about this, and it seemed he didn't understand us. He left, and no one ever checked on the food, which was just okay, flavor-wise; we next saw our waiter when he arrived with the check. I stopped going to La Tasca several years ago and thought I'd give them another chance. I won't be doing this again anytime soon.

The food, service and ambiance were fine. My husband is extremely allergic to nuts and we had requested the server to let us know if there are nuts in any of the dishes we ordered. Turns out the croquettes had something that gave my husband an allergic reaction (but none of the allergens were listed). I won't be going again as although my husband is allergic my daughter is even more sensitive and we cannot risk it!

I love this place, but I was really disappointed on Friday.
We took my friend out for her birthday to eat and for some dancing, but when we got there they told us "no music today" :( . I took my co-workers there, I was there for my birthday my sisters birthday , so we are there a lot. This is the closest place for us to go out dancing, and I feel that Fridays is more for an adult group, Saturdays is more for kids and even though we are a little bit older we still like to go out and have fun.

Hope you guys have music back on Fridays again soon.

First visit, sat at bar - had drinks and several different appetizer tapas - all very creative and quite tasty - drinks & food.

Eric was bartending, etc. Very pleasant, efficient w/ great service. Pleasant experience with restaurant, not so much w/ my first date. Give the restaurant a 10, the date a 1.

Cheerio, Andrea

We try to enjoy La Tasca, but the noise level in there, even for us "younger folks" is crazy. This is our second time there and probably our last. We were seated beside the bar area (I know...should have asked to move). I thought we were far enough away - not a chance. There was a group of 15 there, yelling at the top of their lungs, including very loud profanity. I would have wished the management would have asked them to cool down just a bit. Food was pretty good, although our steak was cold inside when we asked for medium rare....definitely rare.

My husband and I have been here many times and have always loved the food and sangria. We decided to try out their NYE special (4 course, 1 pitcher of sangria for $99pp). At the last minute we were informed that we would have to move our seats an hour into our meal because a dance floor would open up. They were kind enough to comp us with champagne. The starter was a platter of their appetizers- all which we've had before. This time around, the food was cold & bread was stale. Soup option and sangria were good. I ordered the steak medium rare and husband ordered lamb chops. Steak was cold and had weirdly over cooked pieces as if it was microwaved. The lamb chops were over cooked. The gambas al ajillo were basically shrimp cocktail thrown in sauce. We returned most of our food- it wasn't good quality like they usually have. Then we got our complimentary champagne- ANDRE!! I get it- it was complimentary for the "inconvenience" of moving our seats in the middle of dinner. Needless to say, this really ruined our love for La Tasca. It was very expensive, so we expected at least their typical level of good food. The GM was kid and responsive and discounted us $50 for the disappointment. In the end we paid a little more than $200 for basically only appetizers, sangria, and a bottle of Andre. We couldn't even eat the dinner or the dessert. Hope they improve for next years customers :(
