The food was authentic. The service was a little slow, but the atmosphere was great. The tapas were perfect for lunch and we had a great view of the Chinese New Year parade.
Fiancé’s fave place in DC. Great tapas - good variety. Sangria is spot on. Best after 8pm for dimmer lighting. Always a good place to eat for groups or dates. Highly recommend.
Exceptional food and exceptional service. Perfect in all aspects.
Service was great! Manager came over multiple times to check on us and make sure we were enjoying our meal! Tapas in general are small plates and that’s exactly what it was- felt like i was back in Spain! So delicious and worth it!
We Love La Tasca, all there locations are great. We went for Valentines Day this time. They had a great deal, great service, and the food was great, as always.
We love La Tasca. We've been to DC, Arlington, and Alexandria. Love the sangria. Been to sangria creation events. They are so fun! We go to the DC La Tasca whenever we go to a Caps game. It's right across the street! The food is out of this world. It's pricey, though. Don't go there for a cheap night out. But it's worth it.
It was a great experience! We had friends in from out of town, we had La Tasca Sangria, Paella, octopus and bread everything was phenomenal. Sit next to the big window for great people watching.
Fun, good food, good service, delicious Sangria
We met up here before the Caps game. Service was great. The food was amazing.
Restaurant week had everything packed but we both very good seats and had very good food and Sangria.
Love the food!! One of my favorite places! Nice waiter too!
Everything we ordered was excellent: shrimp, fried eggplant, patatas bravas, fried cheese with marmalade.
Convenient location across the street from the arena. We had dinner before going to a basketball game. The food was very good. We would go back.
Service was great but peannia was dry and sea food over cooked.
We were so disappointed with this trip to La Tasca. We were seated in the back in an empty section with boxes of glasses on nearby tables. I didn’t really care as long as we were seated. It took 12 minutes to be acknowledged by a server. Although we were given a HH menu and ordered drinks from it when the bill came they were full price. We don’t have time to argue as we were meeting friends and my husband practically had to go into the kitchen to get the bill so we could pay. Very disappointing, and with all the options nearby, we most likely won’t be back.
Had the Paella Marinera. Very little seafood but a lot of rice. Didn’t feel it was worth $45. I will say that the seafood was cooked well.
The three of us including g our 5 year old son had a great time. Tapas were tasty and the place was bustling with people. Good experience.
The Spanish tapas, while not all that varied, were authentic and tasty and the paella marinera was surprisingly good. Try the rabas (fried calamari) as well. Wine by the glass was good quality if a bit stingy on the pouring — maybe better just to order a bottle if your budget permits.
Food was outstanding
Tapas were bland and mediocre at best. Literally tasted like bar food from a frozen bag that had been refried. The calamari was chewy, cheese curds stale and tasted or processed American cheese, shrimp bland and oily, the lamb meat balls were decent. Service was slow, unfriendly, and unappealing as the environment was also dissspointing. This spot was basically boring with no appeal and completely lacked luster. The only way this place is still in business is due to its locations across from the stadium. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND
Very good meal. We will keep coming back.
Very good food. Served in small portions, so the three of us got different tapas plates and shared them. Service was excellent, ambiance was excellent. Would definitely recommend the Chorizo which had a nice Smokey flavor and some spice.
Slowest and most inattentive service I’ve ever had.
Met friends there who had never been to La Tasca. They loved it! All was great! Service was a little slow but manageable. Will return in the future!
Told the restaurant we were celebrating birthdays via open table but they made no mention of it. Server only visited the table three times. To take drink orders, to take food orders and to deliver the check. Never came to check on anything or anyone.
The restaurant has undergone some changes in recent months and it is not as good as it used to be. The food is pretty average.
Zero service! 35 minutes to get our drinks and one was wrong. another 20 for the replacement. Bread arrived after 50 minutes the oil about 5 minutes later, and the water never. Food was also very slow, and several times incorrect. We had allowed 90 minutes to eat before Verizon center performance. The last dish arrived as we were leaving.
Food was varied. Some dishes were very good - beet salad, and some mediocre - patatas bravas.
way too busy for pre-theater dining. rather long wait for food
Food was good. Great white sangria - not too sweet. Service very slow...almost missed Andrea Bocelli concert. I would go back but not if I'm in a hurry.
Pre-concert meal. Restaurant did not seem prepared to move all concert goers in & out as required to make the show on time.
