The menu has something for everyone! We always enjoy going to LaTasca to get the classics on their menu and try new selections.
Family time with fun food. A pitcher of Sangria went well.
Great food and great service
Great place to celebrate New Year's Eve! The food and service were both amazing!
In the past I would've always given LaTasca 5 stars. But this time, it was just okay, especially the service. I was grateful that I was able to get an early, last-minute New Year's Eve reservation. It wasn't very busy for our 5:45 p.m. seating. But our server brought one of the wrong tapas we ordered and I recall she was very distracted when we ordered it. We had to ask for extra lemons more than twice. And she didn't check on us very often. But she was very friendly. Maybe it was because of the holiday. But this visit won't stop me from going back again.
Annual birthday celebration. We always come here.
It all started with a salad that didn't use freshly cut tomatoes. Instead, they were tasteless and seemed to be old. The next two dishes were under-seasoned. The worst part of the meal was the Valencia Pallea. It was honestly the worst dish I've ever had at any restaurant. It was very disappointing, considering my love for Spanish cuisine. It had very large chunks of vagetables and under-seasoned meat. It just seemed like the ingredients were subpar. Cafe Ba Ba Reeba and Tapas Barcelona are a lot better choices for authentic Spanish food.
The food was served too fast and then a huge lag for Paellla! The trout reeked we had to ask to have it taken away - the both adults the table are huge seafood eaters and trout should not smell that bad - no apologies from the staff just removed - extremely noisy I would say not my favorite tapas restaurant in the suburbs .
We appreciated the wine and tapas recommendations. Everything was wonderful!
La Tasca is one of our favorites, we have been there many times each year. We had another good time.
Love this tapas restaurant! Food and service are exceptional! A gem in Arlington Heights!
Our sever was most helpful answering questions and making suggestions
One of my favorite restaurants in the NW ‘burbs. Server was knowledgeable. Food was delicious. The closest I’ve come to finding the same tapas I had in Barcelona.
Overall, none of the food was that good.
The calamari was ok, but expensive for the portion. Same was true for the Tenderloin. The crabcakes were very "Bready" and the grilled vegetables took a long time and we over cooked.
Everything was expense for the portion size.
Was disappointed, unfortunately. It's a nice place and I think they need to review their menu as far as quality and value.
Wonderful birthday dinner with friends. Great food and great atmosphere!
The pls e us dated and the quality just isn’t the same. Needs an updated menu and atmosphere. COULD BE a gem....
We frequent La Tasca Restaurant. Food is always fabulous as is the service. Great for a date night or a night out with friends.
The food was disappointing, with paprika as the overwhelming flavor. We had olives (very vinegary), patatas alioli (the potatoes disappeared under the garlic), bacon-wrapped dates, (again, paprika), queso de cabra (good, but not exceptional), crab cakes (soggy), stuffed mushrooms (overcooked), and gambas a la plancha (SO much paprika). Nothing stood out as wonderful, although the beef brochette was the best thing we ate. Service was good, but there are so many other better places for Spanish food (Emilio's in Hillside, for example), I don't expect to go back.
Food is consistently good! Service is good. Nice atmosphere. Maybe music could be a little quieter.
Horrible. We could not even dine there because we waited over a half hour after our reservation. A restaurant that takes reservations should respect the time of their patrons and seat them as close as possible to the reservation time. Another couple was still waiting 50 minutes after their reservation time. That is just ridiculous and unacceptable.
Delicious food & nice atmosphere. Reasonably priced & close to home! Parking was a little tricky on Saturday night.
Food was good service was excellent the only bad thing is that it was loud and super noisy. It was hard to have a normal conversation with out yelling.
I have been there for lunch before and it is way better, quite easy to talk and the food and service is just as excellent.
Overall, it’s a great place to go and have a good meal with friendly staff and good service.
Server was totally uninformed of the menu items, we had to point to them on the menu and she still didn't recognize them. When we asked what the five assorted cheeses were she had no idea. And when we got them, they were all the same, not different. The grouper was cold and greasy. Bad food, worse service.
Excellent restaurant! Love the small plates and it makes for a fun evening! Our server recommended something a little exotic, which we tried. When we weren't 100% thrilled with the recommendation, the item was removed from our bill! Great service! Server was very attentive.
It’s a nice experience overall but a few of the dishes we ordered were disappointing.
Terrific place, this is our favorite restaurant.
Very nice dinner. You need to spend some time looking at the menu and figuring out what you want. Stay with the small plates and have fun.
Went there with a group of 4 people. Food was good. The wine was good.
Great food. Excellent service and options presented from our server.
The food was not very good. Didn't taste fresh. I've had much better Tapas at other places.
Love the food! On a weekend the place is usually packed so reservations are recommended. Decor needs to be updated, but otherwise a great neighborhood restaurant for a casual night out.
Good food but small portions add up quickly
Became very loud after 7p
The website says live music but, only tv noises.
The real menu isn’t the same with the online menu... many courses from online menu are missing because are ,,specials”!!! But, isn’t specified this to know it before coming. The table was covered with a weird white paper too long rolling over...
The bread what they brought to the table was at least a day old ... hard and cold.
All of these are cons.... the pros : very polite all of them and very fast serving, the food was okay.
Always a pleasant experience at La Tasca. Good servers and service, love the grilled octopus and the garlic potato salad every time.
Great food and wonderful knowledgeable service. Will look forward to going back and sharing this with friends.
I have eaten at LaTasca many times over the years and still one of my most loved restaurants. The staff is amazing and the food is absolutely incredible.
I had on occasion taken friends from Spain to La Tasca and they felt it was like home.
I highly recommend this restaurant for all occasions.
We had a great experience here form the sangria to tapas and great service as well. Hard to choose from wide variety but make sure you save room for dessert!
Our waitress was spot on with her recommendations.
My cousin and I shared 4 tapas which were all very good.
We hadn’t seen each other in a long time and our waitress wasn’t intrusive and gave us lots of chat time. We liked the generous wine pours also.
Food was average, some good; some not. Maybe ask your server for suggestions if you plan to go. Our meal was very rushed and the lighting for an 8p date night dinner was as bright as a cafeteria. Dimming the lights would help set the mood. Lastly, my wine glass was completely covered in wine on the outside of the glass (I had to wipe it clean before touching the glass!). Basically, attention to detail here for an over $100 dinner would help La Tasca!
Was really underwhelmed with the place. Arrived around 7:30 and the place was practically empty, and it's a rather large place with 3 dining areas. I walked past many other restaurants just before that were full including the patios.
The black bean soup was bland. Also got the shrimp and chorizo, which arrived with 3 small pieces of each on a plate and some lemon to squeeze on it. The shrimp seemed old and the chorizo was like someone tried to spice up some kielbasa sausage. Also ordered the spinach and goats cheese empanada. It is 1 empanada cut into 3 pieces and has a really flaky, greasy crust. It also has golden raisins in it, and there were so many it overpowered both the goats cheese and the spinach, which was the main reason for ordering it.
They have a nice beer, wine, and sangria selection. Maybe a good place for drinks, but I wouldn't recommend the food.
