La Tasca's Alexandria location has a fast kitchen that serves great food. Overall, they do tapas very well. Our server was not good at all. Our water glasses and iced tea were not refilled for 45 minutes. Simply put, our server ignored us and was borderline rude when he did talk to us. Our bill was incorrect, and when we asked questions about the bill our server told us that the manager did not allow receipts to show everything ordered. Of course, this was not true. We spoke with the manager when we left and he said he would address the situation.
We’re regulars and this place never disappoints! La Tasca is a definitely a favorite of ours.
This is one of my favorite places in Alexandria. It's never been anything short of amazing.
The food was exceptionally good, but the waiter looks as if he came back from a fight that he lost. Very hot welcoming.
Excellent food and better ambiance. Authentic Spanish tapas and food.
Took advantage of a Valentines Day offering and enjoyed a delicious meal of several small plates and a pitcher of sangria. The food and service were wonderful! The one area that was bothersome that evening was the live music being played. While we couldn’t see the band from where we were seated, it included loud stomping, on a wooden stage! It definitely affected the romantic evening we had been enjoying. Other than that, it was a wonderful evening, and a venue that we hope to return to.
The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was great! We thoroughly enjoyed the flamenco dancing accompanied by Spanish guitar that made the ambiance very romantic. What a lovely Valentine's Day evening!
It was our first time there, and had a small plate price fixe menu for valentines day. It was worth the cost, a great way to taste new things, and their house sangria was excellent. We were seated at a quiet table away from the bar area, the ambiance was nice, the waiter and food runners were friendly and courteous. Even the host was nice. It was pricey, but definitely worth it. Overall a very positive experience and we will definitely be back.
As alaways a wonderful meal and special time! La Tasca always delivers!
Very good experience and service but a little loud with noise coming from the bar area.
Great food and a quiet place for lunch
Came with a group of friends after a session in the Escape Room on King Street. We had a table reservation, but were a bit early so we all found a spot at the bar. The vibe of the place was fun with the live band playing Latin music. The service at the bar was outstanding! Our bartender was very attentive and when we ordered food, it came out quickly. Everyone had a good time and we'll be sure to come back!
Great food. Fun birthday experience thank you
Delicious! The brunch deal is great. Particularly love the croquetas.
the service was okay. The food however, was terrible. The gambas were tiny and had no flavor. The menu described them as being cooked in white wine but there was nothing but olive oil on them. Hence, the no flavor. We then ordered a paella and it was super salty! No one at my table was able to finish the paella. I used to love La Tasca but the service and food has really gone down. I think tonight was my last visit and i wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to any one of my friends.
Our server was attentive and helpful. Food was great! Enjoyed the Sangria brunch with friends. Mango sangria good choice.
Excellent live entertaiment on Wednesday nights. Food was great and service had excellent timing. Sangrias are better but still need more work.
My first time trying Spanish Paella and it was fantastic. Also, the Sangria Flight is a must try!
Highly recommended!!! La Tasca tapas are perfect for family-style dining. The sangria menu is top-notch as the fruit is soaked in liquor for several months before serving. Great restaurant for large groups, dates, and families with children. The ambiance is laid-back during the day & early evening and vibrant/ exciting at night.
We went on a Friday night with our 1yr old and there was a live band, lights and people dancing. The accommodating hostess seated us on the upper floor where it wasn’t as loud yet we were able to watch all the action!
The lamb chops, and chorizo tapas are our all-time favorites and of course the peach Sangria Blanco
Visited La Tasca on a Friday evening. I was expecting lots of noise just like most places with a bar, but the sound level at the bar was minimal even with the games on screen. The food was amazing, authentic and delectable and priced just right. It's a good date night environment, and the service was good also.
We were there for flamenco dance show mostly, but food and drinks are great too!
We had a great meal and fun experience at La Tasca. Loved sharing and tasting different menu items. After dinner we thouroughly enjoyed the Flamenco guitarist and dancers. It was a great night out with my family!
Went for a different Christmas outing. It was a great find!! 3 generations and we all enjoyed every bite of each dish
We had a lovely Christmas Day dinner with excellent food and service. La Tasca is best known for its big selection of tapas (including many good choices for the three vegetarians in our group) but two of us had paella for a change and it was also outstanding.
The staff here were very friendly and attentive and the food tasty. My husband loves one particular tapas dish so we came here but generally I find tapas to be a bit overpriced for what one gets. The baby beets plate had 3 tiny beets for $8.50. It really wasn’t enough to share and not a good value for the price.
I've been to this location three or four times already, and the food is always great. The menu is large, so there is plenty to keep anyone happy. There are many vegetarian, seafood, and meat dishes, which helps for a large group. The empanadas (beef or chicken) are especially good, and so are any of the shrimp dishes I have tried. On our most recent visit, the service was slightly off the mark, but still very good. Just little things like when we all ordered coffees after the meal, we were only given one spoon between all of us in a group. Also, towards the end of our meal the band was setting up to play later, and there was really (*really*) bad feedback five or six times within a few minutes. Other than that, it was a very good meal, and the food and drink is always great here.
The tapas selections were delicious. Enjoyed the tres leches cake as well. Have eaten here twice.
We went to celebrate a new job. Several of the dishes were quite good; a couple just average. Service was prompt and attentive, really excellent. The wine list is short, but decent. It was loud, making conversation about the new job difficult. We enjoyed the flamenco music and dancers later in the evening.
First time and we will absolutely be back!
