Food was great, but the service was sub par. Took 40 mins for someone to even come to our table to ask for drinks--took another 25 to get them...food was the same deal.
Great place with remodel and updated menu. Excellent food, good service. Definitely top five for casual brunch / dinner!
Food is great !! Love the Paella !! worth the price
We had a great experience for Valentine’s Day! The drinks and food were amazing, we especially like to get the croquettes as one of our tapas when we go and they never disappoint. We’re easy to please! Our waiter was extremely helpful and pleasant!
Valentine’s Day dinner , seated right away, the server explained everything and they brought a rose to eat couple, it was a nice touch
Delicious tapas and sangria. Great Valentines Day Special.
Great spot for a little something different. Good date night spot. Service was great and the food taste good too.
Remodeled, eight months ago, looks awesome! Great place for a date!
Our waitress was Maria Fernanda and she was "amazing" which was also her favorite term for her recommendations and she was correct. The owner promised to do the Flamenco for us but I guess he got too busy :) Great night and can't wait to go back and we will be asking for Maria.
Celebrating my daughters birthday who loves tapas. Everything was delicious! The service was amazing! Wonderful evening.
Came here for a girls night and unofficial birthday celebration. My server was so attentive and helpful she really made the night special. Plus I had some of the best empanadas and paella of my entire life! Highly recommended.
An off night for sure. Someone else's food as served to us. Server didnt speak English so couldn't explain. Waitress took it off the table and gave it to right person. We did the tasting menu, 3 courses. Very poor timing. Sat forever for last courses. Nearly 2 hours later packed up last course and went home. Food tasted good.
Service was amazing and our server was helpful, friendly and very attentive. Drinks were delicious. We had one tapa and shared a paella, which we had never ordered before. The tapa (bacon wrapped pork) was phenomenal but the paella was...not great. The rice was undercooked and the seafood was over cooked. The lobster especially was dry and chewy. I will be returning, but I won’t be ordering the paella again.
Loved the whole experience- great food !
Went for restaurant week menu but ordered off of regular menu. We will be back. One in our party has celiac disease - lots of GF options.
Normally La Tasca can be extremely expensive, even on date night for two. But the brunch menu is a great option, including $2 bloody marys and sangrias. Perfect brunch option!
I was really excited to finally get to brunch here, but let down. There were several issues: 1. there were only 2 waiters for the entire restaurant 2. my sangria was served in a glass that was filled to the top with ice and watered it down, 3. it took about 20 minutes after I received my first 2 tapas to get my waffle, which arrived soggy and cold, 3. I sent the waffle back and replaced it with the french toast. When that arrived there was hair on my plate (not from my waiter). I sent that back and did not request any replacement meal items, I was no longer interested.
We had a great waiter and he was able to comp my brunch. What I did get to eat was tasty and wish I could have enjoyed everything.
Main course was excellent...swordfish. A nice atmosphere but a bit noisy.
Friendly staff and excellent service! I have been several times and they have never disappointed. A particular situation where the website allowed me to gain a reservation 15 minutes before the kitchen closes they accommodated us and stayed up in just a bit longer instead of turning us away was so pleased with that! One of my favorite restaurants the food is scrumptious - lots of variety! My guess was beyond impressed and two days later is still talking about it!
I love going to La Tasca! Sangria and tapas are excellent and I have always had great service. Most recently went for restaurant week and had a wonderful time.
Just kind of average. The food wasn’t memorable. The service was extremely slow. They knew 13 of us were coming and the restaurant was empty due to the snow. I tried to give my card so everything could be on one check to make life easier and the waitress said no she would rather do 13 separate checks. It was my birthday and luckily the group of us had fun but La Tasca didn’t do anything to make it memorable.
Celebrated my birthday here recently...loved the remodel/update of the interior. Food was delicious, Cadillac Sangria was yummy & the Paella is a must have! Waitress was attentive & friendly even as she continued to push us to purchase the most expensive wine (red AND white!) on the menu. La Tasca is a favorite restaurant of ours, and we have always had a great time!
Hey were out of two wines that my friend and I asked for. I also don’t eat ham and asked for a protein sub for my salad which could not be accommodated. That being said, everything was still delicious and satisfying and I am sure I will be back.
Food was excellent, as usual. Service was outstanding, as usual. We had a leisurely New Years Day/Husband’s Birthday lunch with good friends. Smiles all around.
Was happy to spend New Year’s Eve at the Tasca , only disappoinment no Alive Band I was expecting that and also website mention about that . Otherwise all good .
I usually LOVE La Tasca - we have hosted a party here before. New Years Eve was such a disappointment. We had a reservation, and weren't seated for 20 minutes after it had passed. Our waiter took an hour between courses to come by. This is not an exaggeration. Our reservation was for 8:30, there were three pitchers of sangria for our table of 5, and five courses. We didn't leave until 12:00, when he brought our third pitcher of sangria WITH THE CHECK, and we missed the ball dropping and any celebrations we have had planned afterwards. I go to eat here all the time (like twice a month!) and this is the worst ever. Were they understaffed? What was up? If you're going to host a NYE special and prix fixe menu, you've gotta do a better job. I won't be coming here for any more special events. For $99 a person, it was a HUGE disappointment.
Excellent food but terrible service. Due to NYE our waiter received 20 percent. Unfortunately he did not deserve it! He rushed us every moment of our visit. It was difficult to enjoy our food. Ran out of H20 twice.
New Year’s Eve
Noise levels too high
Would not return
Food was cold and service was not great.
Just a fun place to go too with friends or date. I recommend going on happy hour or brunch
wonderful food and wonderful service. not too busy and great for familu
I would recommend La Tasca as a lively place for tapas. It would be good to get Spanish cheese in the empanada instead of what tasted and looked like a gooey orange melting cheese. Fried eggplant is good but of course a little greasy--maybe dump it on a paper towel quickly to eliminate that. The high tables are nice around the bar and they do have food service at the bar. Nice live music on Saturday night.
This was my first time back after the renovation. Bad move. I used to love their empenadas...now they are just full of cheese and little meat. Not even their bacon wrapped dates taste the same. I usually order 2-3 plates of them, I didn't finish the first plate. Service was slow...our waiter was admittedly new (went from collecting dirty dishes to a waiter the week prior). However, other around us also complained of their poor service. I took some out of toen friends here to celebrate my and my twin's birthday. I was so disappointed, will not be returning.
Dinner was tasty. Skip the desserts though, not worth the price.
Nice, pAella delicious!
Outstanding food, service and wine!
We took friends who had never had paella surprisingly. They loved it! I kind of miss the decor before the renovation but the food was great. Go on a live music night, worth it!! So fun!
There right at opening. Fabulous service, food and drinks very tasty. Brunch menu was great value, three tapas and sangria. Will go back.
Went toLa Tasca for first time. Tapas were delicious. Service outstanding. Will go again.
We really like our waitress, she explained to us the menu, very polite, she was so professional, I think her name was Maria from Colombia.
