Walked in and was lucky to find a spot at the bar. The place was popping. I highly recommend reservations. Tried the meatballs and those alone are worth coming here for. The Pappardelle was spectacular- big portion. They had an amazing singer that added to the vibe. Everyone was well dressed and was enjoying their dinner. Will come back for the full Monty next on my next date. #romantic

Jhonathan was wonderful as well as the CEO “acting Som”. This restaurant provides an extraordinary dining experience. I’ve dined at many Michelin star restaurants throughout the world and am always looking for an “experience”. Food was amazing and the wine pairings were phenomenal. One of the best dining experiences I’ve had in the states. The lobster ravioli and the octopus were my favorites. Definitely follow up your meal with a glass of Grappa.

Had family in town for the holidays and wanted them to try this place. Amazing as always. Yes it's pricey but if you are complaining this is pricey you don't go to dinner in dallas often. This is fine dining. Quality. With great atmosphere and service and they have live music. The dallas arts district is spectacular during the holidays.

My wife, son and I went there for dinner and we had high expectations based on the 4.9 google reviews. Didn’t live up to expectations. Ambiance: the live piano was excellent. Perfect volume and vibe. Service: Server was very friendly and we had a great initial experience. Then it went a bit downhill. We were asked if “we wanted bread”. After accepting, we were given a $16 appetizer. Now, we were looking at it on the menu so not disappointed that we got it, but felt it was a bit misleading/slimy how it was asked. We ordered a few courses, including a charcuterie board, which didn’t come out until we were essentially done our mains (server had forgotten about). Server did give us a free piece of cake as an apology…which was not good btw. Server was also not very attentive. Dirty plates left on the table, wine not regularly refilled, no side plates provided with the charcuterie etc. It was not busy, especially considering it was a Friday night, so I definitely expected more from the service. Food: Pane E Olio - bread was delicious, olives were good and spread was decent. Good but nothing too special. Salumi e Formaggi - monstrous portion. Cheeses were fantastic. Meat was good. Olives were good. Gnocchi di Franco - probably the best dish we had. Perfect heat and flavorful. It was very rich, though. Couldn’t imagine eating a whole dish solo. Parpadella Stellari - underwhelming. Quality of the pasta was high and the fresh ricotta added a nice creaminess to the dish. Bolognese wasn’t that flavorful, but the meat was tender. Spaghetti and butter (for my son) - the spaghetti was cooked perfectly, and again, the quality of the pasta was evident. Strawberry cake - was not good. Tasted a bit stale and medicinal. My son loves sweets and he did not want any. Overall, I see a lot of potential with this restaurant but it did not live up to the Google reviews and the price point. It was not very busy, so perhaps we just got it on an off night? We probably wouldn’t go back.

Really good experience! Service was good, a little slow. Loved the bread basket. The butternut squash lasagna was good and on the sweet side. The pistachio gelato wasn’t very good, but vanilla and salted Carmel were amazing!

This is an excellent place for pre-theater dinner. Fine Italian dining at its best. This place has a relaxed feel with a piano player/singer. Both the slow braised ribs short ribs (Carne alla Genovese) and the Wagyu beef Bolognese ragu with ricotta (pappardelle stellari) were excellent. The thin crostini were a perfect accompaniment. Everyone loved the bread basket which arrived in the middle of our meal. The focaccia was especially delicious. The complimentary Tiramisu was light and very tasty, but the cannoli were too lemony. Our server Erick provided friendly but uneven service.

James- GM, Michael- Server and everyone there tonight did an amazing job. Seafood is fresh , had the octopus and fried seafood appetizers! Veal cutlet extra ordinary and my favorite was the lobster ravioli! Thanks Mike - CEO for giving me a chance to experience this amazing restaurant. Also the White chocolate breading pudding was the bomb!

The atmosphere is wonderful, topped only by the food and service. Two friends had not been to La Stella before and they loved everything about it. We shared several items including fabulous gnocchi, delicious shrimp scampi and the always wonderful branzino. Service was wonderful with perfect timing to get us to the Moody around 7. A truly lovely evening!! Thank you.

Good food and the service was fine. Asked for a two glasses of wine and the waiter brought the “wine of the week”. I didn’t ask the price but should have. Tuens out to be $90 worth of wine. The wine left a bad taste - the waiter should have mentioned the price. May or may not go back

A highly awarded restaurant that is simply overpriced. $75 for a second rate veal cutlet is quit unreasonable. An extremely expensive wine list (dozens of wines over $500). Very small pasta servings for $30 plus dollars. I guess folks in Dallas are so rich that they have forgotten what the term “good value” means.

We came here after a conference with a group of five and ordered pretty much everything on the menu! Solid. They had a special a large ravioli filled with egg and mushrooms in a butter sage sauce topped with white truffle tableside wow definitely Worth it. The piano bar and service was excellent. Overall a great experience looking forward to coming back on a date night.

Finally a restaurant with class. Quality ingredients, amazing food, great service, live music, and impressive wine list if you like Italian wines. No surprise this place was voted best of Dallas. It will be a regular for date nights. Bonus it's across from the opera house and they have their own valet.

We were going to the Opera and asked our server if we will be able to complete our diner in an hour, which they accomplished. The server was knowledgeable & attentive and got our order without any mistakes. The food was great we had pasta with shrimp and it was cooked perfectly (al dente ) shrimp was large and there was a good amount of it, our Martin's were perfect The space is beautiful with live music ( it's in the former Flora Street Cafe space). The prices are high but so is everywhere else. Definitely would go back and recommend it to others.
