Loved it! I had the pretzel baguette with smoked salmon and cajun fries, it was quite good! The filter coffee was also surprisingly good, considering most places it tastes burnt. Will definitely be coming back to try more!

Mauvaise journée dimanche à La Société. Nous avons commandé des oeufs bénédictine. Sauf pour les pommes de terre, tout le reste de l'assiette était froid. Les mimosas étaient bons. Le service excellent. Mais la cuisine doit revoir ses techniques de travail.

We used to love to brunch here with oysters and bottomless mimosas, but the prices are now so high for cold eggs benedict with a little bit of spinach in bread. I hope they turn it around. It’s too imbalanced now.

Good ambience. The server was attentive and she told us about the specials of the day. However, not everything we had was found on the menu (I.e.: sparkling water and beer selections), and pricing for these items weren’t available on the menu either. Overall a good dining experience while we were in town vacationing.

Les points forts: Ambiance tellement agréable, playlist excellente, service sans pression, on s’entend parler, clientèle un peu plus âgée (30+), (lounge/bar séparé du restaurant), grande table pour deux, nourriture délicieuse et la carte des vins et cocktails A1. Point faible: Les huîtres n’étaient pas les meilleures ou les plus fraîches et les mignonnettes n’étaient pas nécessairement très bonnes. Nous avons été malades en arrivant à la maison. J’y retournerais sans hésitation, mais c’est un non pour commander encore des huîtres.

Oysters were small and had shell fragments in all six of them. There were 3 different vinegars none of them were really good. One of the glasses was cracked and the waitress made no suggestion that the sparkling water be replaced. The waitress seemed to be tentative and may have been new. There were very few people in the restaurant. Main course was quite good and the rainbow trout was particularly well presented. Tiramisu was made without coffee but was sweet and good.

Ambiance was nice and cozy. Service is good. Appetizers: Oysters with trio sauces were fabulous. Mains:We went for the butcher specials. The honey glazed duck - flavour was good but the cut was challenging with tough muscles in the way. Beef ribs was done well and a little more balanced sauce flavour would have made it better. However, Rack of lamb was really good that would certainly come be back for it. Desserts: raspberry and sponge with rum was good.

I know La Societe from Toronto, they’ve been always professional. I had Sunday brunch, eggs Benedict with smoked salmon and I tried their waffles. Everything was tasty even their lattes and espressos. Our server name I believe was Matthieu/Matthew not quite sure how to spell but was very friendly and kind to us. Love everything about this restaurant. I give 10/10 for everything!

Les plats sont très élégamment présentés et la cuisine est raffinée sans être prétentieuse. Le gravlax de saumon remporte la palme! Texture et saveur parfaites. La tartelette tomate et mousse mozzarella est joliment déconstruite mais manque un peu de sel. Même chose pour le sauté de choux fleur multicolore. Une succulente tartelette aux fraises revisitée a couronné notre repas. Nous aimerions voir plus de plats végétariens au menu. Le service est toujours impeccable à la fois très professionnel et très sympathique.

Varying food quality. Magret was okay, cordon bleu was disappointing. More of supermarket-quality frozen rolled croquettes than an actual cordon bleu as described on the menu (jambon, beaufort, etc.). The cocktails and the wine list were good!

We were told at the time of our Reservation that we had to wait 35 minutes for the kitchen and the staff to clean the dishes because they had a big rush of people before us… that was their response. Very unprofessional will not recommend

I chose La Societé after reviewing their menu online. My only issue was pretty important: the menu was completely different than the one posted on their website. I was extremely disappointed! I understand that some restaurants have a limited menu due to Covid, but to have a completely different menu was really disappointing. We had a dinner that was not at all what we’d planned. Their website was extremely slow to load for some reason. I’m trying to access it now and it’s been a good 5 minutes with nothing but the name showing up. The service was excellent; attentive but not over the top. The ambiance was romantic and the noise level very low, which was appreciated.

Probably one of the best restaurants in Montreal. Next to the regular dinner menu they had 4 daily specials. My wife has taken the beef tenderloin with fois gras and I had the Halibut. The beef tartar that I had as a starter was to die for - so delicious - prepared in a little bit unconventional way but that really lifted it up to the next level. In the adjacent bar they even had a very lovely life music playing. Service was very attentive. Really the only negative point was that it was arctic/chilly at times in there. They have a centralized AC that cannot be adjusted. So, make sure to bring a sweater. Overall a very positive experience. 5 Stars from me. We will come back next time we are in Montreal.
