Very nice evening, excellent service, good wine suggestion by the maître D .
Very pleasant evening with our friends
Very good food and service, nice French cuisine...recommended
Absolument délicieux ! La salade au nem de chèvre et le tartare de saumon sur blini sont un régal !
Très bel endroit et service impeccable !
Splendid. Wonderful experience, will return.
First we are picky eaters. We asked about adding lobster to the romaine lettuce. No can do but you know what... the chef is right this stands alone.
Much more limited menu than precovid..
Burger was ok. I had a cheese plate serviced with no crackers. Just the think German style bread that was on the table...
thank goodness the cheese was tasty- who does that? No special bread or crackers...
Place was deserted.
Excellent service, food and drinks!! Highly recommend this place.
Best brunch in Montreal this time around! 5 Stars all around.
The lobster burger was average not worth 33 $ the fries too salty , lemon pie the crust was over baked and the meringue was hard / crumbling . The only good thing was the drink
Superb dining experience! Tremendous Staff aswell...!
The french lady serving us, était charmante & très sympathique, food-wise je n’aurais pu demander mieux, merci!
Excellent repas
Plats préparés avec soins
Très bonne saveur dans les mets
We came for brunch on a Friday morning and the place was almost totally empty. I had the banana pancakes which were a little overcooked and pretty spongy. My husband had the lobster eggs Benedict which was definitely overcooked- the lobster wasn’t tender and the egg yolk wasn’t runny at all. The bacon was delicious, as were the breakfast potatoes. Great service. Would go back but order differently.
Espectacular
Burgers were so over well done felt like we were eating a hockey puck. Fancy burgers we usually get asked how we like them done, I am assuming this burger has been sitting on a side table for sometime and reheated up that is why it was so dry? Steak tartare was nothing special, I've had way better for less price. Fois gras, was over cooked. 🥺
overall very good! Food was amazing. Service was dope and professional
I didn't think it was a great place to have intimate conversations though. We were so close to neighboring tables and it was like we were having dinner with them too.
ps: Probably Not necessarily a bad place if you want to meet new friends though.
We had a delightful dinner, the food, the service, the atmosphere. We loved everything dish that was served and the service was outstanding, I recommend this restaurant for a wonderful experience.
Maybe in the summer only. I was there for Valentine's day and the restaurant was absolutely freezing. The service was great and the food was decent. I'm not sure that I'd go back.
Absolutely fabulous food and service
Very nice place for a Sunday Brunch. The food was good and the atmosphere perfect. We had a reservation and we were offered a choice of tables to choose from. Once we sat, we ate our brunch and they basically left us alone. I did not feel rush. What I want for a Sunday.
Fantastic service, wonderful food and a great atmosphere, we will be back!
Excellent food , excellent service . Super friendly staff
Excellent Service!
Cool lounge, great staff, delicious food, ok beer.
Salle très classy avec une magnifique verrière qui rappelle les ambiances des bistrots parisiens.
Personnel attentionné et de bon conseil.
Good meals and excellent service.
Outstanding food and service
My family and I enjoyed the dinner and we had receive a good service, too.
Our worst experience for a New Years Dinner ever!!
Cost was a robbery, very small plates, zero tasty, the most expensive I paid in my whole life!! and have nothing.
I will never return!!!
I’m going to place all this comments on Tripadvisor too!!
Food was absolutely horrible. The prix fixe menu of 90 dollars was NOT worth the price. The fois gras app was unpalatable and the seared duck entree tasted like iron. Was so disgusting. I can’t believe we spend New Years here. Very disappointment. Our server however was great.
Service was good. Food was mediocre. The only thing we really enjoyed was the beef tartare. The Iceland cod was one of the most confusing dishes I’ve ever ordered. Fish was cold. Skin was not crispy. And flavor combinations were bizarre. Nice atmosphere. Probably will not return.
What can I say! We opted for an earlier dinner-having had a few too many cocktails the night before..actually starting at La Société’s nickel bar and ending up at The Dominion Square Tavern(also excellent!) - this night we wanted a nice long and lingering meal in a cozy spot. We arrived at 6:15 (much earlier than we usually eat) and arrived to an empty restaurant. Knowing the place would eventually be bustling, we took advantage of our time. Our server - who turned out to be the sommelier - but who clearly was also a server, bread attendant, water procurer, manager, wine consultant, menu expert and all around kind, helpful and professional restauranteur.
We were offered a cozy corner, but could hear the cool jazzy covers coming from the bar musician (and who- we learned later was the pastry chef). After a couple of vodka (hers) and gin (mine) martinis- we discussed the menu and wine options.
The shrimp cocktail-my wife’s favourite classic was amazing while I had the marrow bone...divine. The steak frites were excellent and à point (perfectly medium...on the rare side of it too...awesome!).
We also spend a good amount of time chatting about wine, our fathers love of hunting and growing up in rural areas...me being from New Brunswick and he from (if I recall) northern France in the Alps.
We did indulge in the aforementioned pastry chef/musician’s treats. The Paris-Brest and chocolate lava cake...so good...so good.
A little over two hours later, with the restaurant filling up with the Saturday crowd Yannique zigzagged all over the restaurant...chatting with customers, taking orders, explaining dishes, making people laugh...a true host.
The digestif he brought to us gratuit just before we left...I still cannot put my finger on what it was...but it was out of this world.
I have not had an evening like that in a long time. Thank you very very much to Yannique.
The food was not good. Don’t recommend
I called and asked several times what the Christmas menu was, and was told it hadn't been finalized. Imagine the disappointment when we all turned up for a $45 brunch of semi-cooked bacon drowning in grease, dry bread, cheap sausages , overcooked fried potatoes... disgusting. Music so loud we had to yell.
Nourriture de qualité et ambiance très agréable
Oysters were delicious and our waiter told us about ordering before 19h00 on special. Attentive service.
Fine food matched with excellent service. Staff were accomodating and well informed. Highly recommend this restaurant for a lovely night out.
Good quiet place with great staff and good food. I’ll come back for sure
Accueil chaleureux et courtois. Belle ambiance de brasserie parisienne.
It was lovely as always.
The space was beautiful and the service impeccable, BUT... the food was basically inedible. The shrimp cocktail was undercooked and warm - the shrimp was still translucent and the cocktail sauce was SWEET- gross! The onion soup had NO flavor AT ALL. It needed sherry or salt or something... how can Montreal screw up onion soup so badly?? The entrees were terrible - the filet was covered in a thick tasteless sauce to make up for the awful cut and the cod was inedible. I didn't eat more than one bite- undercooked and served over raw onions and a cardboard tomato tarte. I was disappointed that the server didn't acknowledge the lack of consumption and offer to remove from the bill or get me something else. The drinks were tasty and that's where it ended. I don't know how this place had such great reviews - DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY... you'll be ordering room service later.
Good food and very nice wine selection. A bit noisy though
