Good good, ok for covid, service very slow with few there. Excellent French food.
Considering the temperature was 32 degrees, we were pretty warm.
They do a good job with outdoor dining in a pandemic!
Food was excellent, and the outdoor dining was great. We were in a single tent, open on the front, with a heat lamp overhead. Service was attentive. A great neighborhood spot.
La Sirene is one of my and my wife's favorite restaurants in NYC. They have the best escargot we've ever eaten by far.
We had only ever been to their Varick st location until the other day when we went to the UWS location for my birthday. Just as superb as their downtown spot, and their outdoor seating was cozy and warm.
Can't say enough great things about this restaurant. They even let you BYO (limit one) bottle of wine, and I don't think in the past they had been charging a 'corking' fee. (don't quote me on this but it's how I remember it).
Please Please Please support this amazing restaurant!
One my my favorite UWS restaurants. The food and service are superb
La Sirene had little tents outside with heat lamps. We had a delicious lunch, with great service. I will certainly return many times to this excellent restaurant.
Booked a table inside, got there and sat down before being told we had to go outside. Manager didn’t give us an option to leave and reassured us it was warm under the heaters, which it wasn’t . Food was fine but experience ruined it.
Dear patron, We are very sorry that you had to dine outside as the weather was not ideal. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee indoor seating as we fill out very quickly due to the 25% capacity rule mandated by NYS/NYC. That's why we have invested heavily into making outdoor dining as enjoyable as possible, with the use of canopies and heaters, however on certain days the weather is such that it is not sufficient. We hope that you understand. Respectfully, Benjamin La Sirene
This is a great neighbourhood place. Great for date night or just a wonderful meal. The service is great, the food is delicious and priced accordingly. The bar pours were generous.
Always yummy! The popovers just out of the oven with strawberry butter are delicious. The staff are nice. It’s like being with a French family!
Thank you so much to the wonderful staff! They made us feel safe and delivered a top notch experience
You can't go wrong at La Sirene when you want (need) some good French food! It's just wonderful! I highly recommend it!!!
Perfect! Food is always excellent!
La Sirène's outdoor pavilion's well set up including electric heaters, social distancing and soft jazz played through small speakers placed around its top. Food and service were exemplary.
very nicely done outdoor space with adequate heat
La Sirene has added heat lamps over most tables. We hope to continue going to eat there, as separations are great as is the food!
Food is good. Love the goat cheese tart. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🎉🎉🎉
Food is soo good!!!
Filet mignon w/ Foie Gras and Duck Breast are superb! Also highly recommend Escargot and then dipping your bread in the leftover butter afterward.
La Sirène UWS was recommended by my sister for whom it is full of wonderful, special memories. Our visit was a special date night, too, and our experience could not have been more wonderful. We enjoyed a warm and satisfying bottle of Bordeaux (it was so hard to decide from their great list, too!). The French Onion Soup was hearty and delicious. My date enjoyed the Coq au Vin while I dug into the amazing Kassoulet and we couldn’t help but trade off to try each other’s entrees after a bit. Great bread, great veggies (always a plus!), and delicious profiteroles that were fresh, fun, and left us truly happy rounded out our dinner. Our joyful and very kind host along with the deeply inviting, romantic atmosphere made this a lovely date neither of us are likely to forget. Thanks to Amanda for the recommendation and to the team at La Sirène UWS for everything :)
Food was great and prices for lunch reasonable as compared to expensive at dinner. Service was very slow even though we had a 1:30 reservations and it was not at all crowded. The set-up for outdoor dining is cozy but I am wondering if there will be heat lamps as the temperature drops.
Dear patron, Our heat lamps are now installed and running! We also have sanitize blankets so help alleviate the cold going into the winter. Looking forward to seeing you soon, Benjamin La Sirene
Very comfortable, socially distant tables on the cross street. While they were out of coq a vine and mussels, our bass special was excellent. We were even offered additional veggies.
Great food and wonderful service! Their Mussels are fabulous and don’t forget their delicious Popovers with strawberry butter!
Just delicious. The outside tables are nicely romantic and the service is always excellent.
Cozy, charming, yummy - a gem on the UWS
This is a restaurant we never had the chance to dine in...
And we were very glad we did....due to covid19 regulations
we were seated outside in the tent and the temperature did go down
during our time but the ambiance was great, the servers were very friendly
and the food was amazing specially all beef items and the mini truffle ravioli.
the wine selection was very good. We had a nice 2008 red wine from italy.
It was the last bottle they had and it was amazing.
We would dine here again and we hope they can figure out how they will
manage the colder weather seating outside.
The food was memorable, as always. It's my go-to place to take guests for dinner when they come to the Upper West Side
Wonderful dinner. Great food, service, outdoor seating! We had the seared duck breasts and the filet mignon and both we prepared perfectly. The menu has so many great options it was hard to choose and I don't think you can go wrong with any choice.
We ate outside and they have done a wonderful job of creating a safe but fun atmosphere. The staff as always was perfect as the food!
Great Service, Great appetizers, Great desserts, entrees need to be elevated a bit. Specifically the Steak Tartar which was a bore..
Love La Sirene outdoor dining, especially the cabanas on the side. Lovely evening out.
Fabulous on every level. Escargot and hanger steak fabulous and vegetables to table were outstanding.
They did a really nice job setting up outdoor dining. The food was excellent as usual. I had the mussels and pate. Drinks and wine were good as well. One of my favorite neighborhood haunts.
Great food great service
Lovely French bistro with consistently delicious food. The staff is gracious and generous. They have found a way to create a very pleasant outdoor environment -- alas, we are not Miami to enable a longer period of outdoor dining. Still, go and enjoy! You won't be disappointed. It's my favorite restaurant on the UWS.
Great meal. My hanger steak was amazing. Service was excellent. My server suggested a wine I liked immediately and I’m picky. Highly recommend.
Great food and AMAZING service!!!!!
Love this place!
Had dinner here twice this week and both were great. Had a nice private and covered table outside for social distancing. Staff was great as was the food and wine.
My salad was a wee boring but duck was excellent and perfectly spiced. My husband said escargot were excellent and he ate all the delicous bread . The waiter brought more bread, its baked there on premises. Tastes like the best baguette in Paris. Husbands rack of lamb also perfectly cooked and spiced. We drink mostly Cali reds, and dont know French wines, but waiter knew what we were looking for and recommened a wonderful bottle.
Such great French food as we hadn’t had in a long time. Service is very nice and fast. Great experience!
Very traditional French food. Rather dated, but very good and overall a very pleasant evening.
