My problem is that I so love the ravioli appetizer and the duck that I find it hard to order anything else!
Food is just fantastic
Exellent dinner and service.......................
E had our choice of several outside tables and chose one on the corner surrounded by relaxing lighting and green plants. Tony, our waiter, was terrific as was the support staff. Pear with melted blue cheese was an outstanding sharing starter. Cod special was yummy and was well priced. Main courses served with a lovely plate of four assorted vegetables. Good red wine and being with family made It a perfect evening. A true neighborhood gem!
While three of us immensely enjoyed our meal and wine my husband's duck breast was fatty, tough and unpleasant. He was uncomfortable verbalizing this at the time.
Exactly what you’re hoping for when you go out for French food. The food is absolutely delicious and there is plenty of outdoor seating, if you like.
Cannot overstate how impressed we were by level of service and the quality of the food including its presentation. A real addition to Upper West Side dining.
Lovely atmosphere delicious food great servers
The food is delicious. I have had the mussels at La Sirene many times and am never disappointed. Other members of my party were equally happy with their selections.
This was our first time here. Outdoor dining has challenged the entire dining out scene. It was very warm last night and a bit crowded under the awning. The food was very good and menu had excellent choices. Everything was very fresh.
Had a very pleasant lunch outside. Waitress was sweet and competent. We had watermelon salad 4.5/5, pate lunch 4.5/5, mussels 4/5, and mimosas 5/5. What stood out was the pate presentation was unique and it reminded us of eating in Paris. Miss traveling to Europe so much but it was a nice memory that the pate gave us, sigh! Be gone COVID-19!
food was good, wellprepared and presented. our server very attentive and pleasant. it's a neighborhood haven from daily problems!
Food is always excellent. It presents simple, well-prepared bistro dishes. The atmosphere is quiet and quaint.
My favorite restaurant in this neighborhood.
Wonderful service. Food was delish. Great ambience. Will definitely go back!
The food was great and service was phenomenal. Only reason I give it 4 stars is because they charge a 4% credit card fee on your dining, which I wish was made apparent up front. Also, unhoused people kept coming up to us during our meal while we were eating outside.
The food and service was excellent. I love the way they have set up outdoor dining.
This was the second time we were there in a week. Somehow it was not as successful as our first visit.
We ate inside, it was very hot, crowded and noisy. The tables are tiny so the bread plate dropped to the floor. The food was good but not great.
Doubt if we will return.
Always fantastic food and service! I recommend this restaurant for all family and friends.
Very good food and lovely service. Small indoor space. The pear salad and Cornish hen were great. Nice assortment of vegetables to accompany entree. I couldn't possibly have finished the profiteroles as my friend did, the sorbet was just enough!
Everything was perfect at La Sirene. The food was delicious and the service was great. A great treat for Restaurant Week!
Enjoyed restaurant week lunch at this under the radar UWS restaurant. Ordered the pate appetizer & the beef tartare, both very good.
La Sirene is such a friendly and charming neighborhood spot for delicious continental cuisine with something for everyone. A visiting guest took us there for dinner and was delighted with the menu, the service, and the ambiance. We look forward to returning.
Overall the food was good, but not great. The wine list is varied but most are very pricy. Would I go back? I'd give it another try and order different food (we had: pate - dry; french onion soup - good; steak tartar - good but didn't taste like it has just been made, which I feel steak tartar should be made a la minute; hanger steak - didn't taste like it had been just cooked).
staffs were kind
food not bad
not like a french resturant
Very good food in a small but pleasant setting. Large area for outdoor dining too. Many locals.
The food was great and the service was excellent! The hanger steak was tender and juicy , the roasted duck was cooked just right. When I made our reservations online, I mentioned that we’re celebrating a birthday. After finishing our entree, they sent our table an extra dessert with bday candles on it, which was a nice surprise, They also did not rush us. After we’re done, they kept refilling our water. We must have stayed for more than 3 hours, just hanging out and enjoying the outdoor ambiance after a nice meal. Definitely worth going back there again.
La Sirene is a lovely respite sitting on a fairly quiet and lovely UWS block. The outdoor seating built during COVID is beautifully filled with lots of palms and plants and create a welcome setting. Overall the food is quite good and a terrific deal during Restaurant Week..go take advantage while you can!
It's our 1st time there. Service is good. We had RW menu which has good choices. Recommend to give a try if haven't been there before.
There is a 4% charge for credit cards which is not well disclosed. The service does not match the price
Really good food , seared salmon is sperb
Great authentic French food, charming inside dining room, and decent prices for the UWS
Mediocre food. People smoking marijuana as round the corner where you could smell it and maitre d laughed it off
nice dinner for restaurant week; desserts not as good as I hoped
Dining outdoors is comfortable and pleasant. The staff was very attentive and the food excellent as always.
Wonderful service. Late seating us but apologized several times and gave us predinner drink while we waited
First time and we sat outside. Only one server and she did an outstanding job. Very happy with the service. The food was tasty and we had items from the restaurant week menu. Only negative is the place had a "raggedy" feel. Just did not feel pristine and that took away from the experience.
Loved La Sirene UWS! Great Restaurant Week Deal and a fantastic ambiance (and service)1
Great food. Very good staff.
I wish the entrance and bathroom access by the kitchens I’d not have bad smell.
Scrumptious meal & beautiful presentation. Thoughtful team too.
Excellent food & friendly service. We went for lunch during NYC restaurant week and had onion soup, melon salad, gnocchi and steak tartare. A great neighborhood restaurant!
