   Seared foie gras was perfectly prepared, escargot was a garlicky, buttery delight and rack of lamb was perfect as well. Our meal was absolutely delicious and the house Bordeaux was a delicious complement. Service was excellent as well. 5 stars… as good as a trip to dine in France!

   I love La Sirène, the food is always excellent, I particularly like the hunger steak cooked in butter and the profiteroles. I also like the fact that it is a quiet restaurant and you don't have to yell at the people at your table in order to be heard. I will come back.

    I chose this place to celebrate my friend’s birthday due to their good reviews and attractive signature dishes that I reviewed online. We experienced discrimination once we entered the restaurant (got there few minutes before our reservation), a personnel/waiter greeted us with an unfriendly remark (Do you know that we only accept American Express or cash? There is a ATM here if you need to get cash.) In addition, they served the bread to other table that came after us. We got our bread after we placed our orders (took them awhile to serve our table when there were only 3 tables occupied at 6pm on Monday, not busy at all.) However, after we placed our orders (probably got their expensive signature dishes), the same waiter’s attitude changed dramatically (became friendly, respectful & attentive). To be fair, their food was good so I gave them a 3 stars. Usually I would recommend the place to friends & family when the food is good. But with that discriminated experience, I will not come back or refer it to others.

    Spectacular - can easily say I’ve had my best escargots here. Food in general was pricy but was worth it. Mixed salad - great taste, great portions Raviolo- delicious, couldn’t get enough - but was rather small Escargots - best I’ve ever had Duck - probably the best duck dish I’ve ever had - the sauce is to die for Rabbit - least favorite, felt a bit chewy but flavor was excellent Lamb chops - delicious, small portions though Banana brulee - delicious

    Hanging in New York. Very nice place and the best part was the service. Abraham and Lula was extremely pleasant and engaging. Knowledgeable about the food and the area. The food is also very good. I had the rabbit, my wife had pork loin. Escargot of course. All were great. Down sides were bar quality and although not an issue for us, they only accept American Express. There is a great story as to why but it could be an uncomfortable thing for some. I should certainly go back though. Enjoy

    This was our third visit and we still find both the food and service to be excellent. The house white wine was an exceptional value. I will mention that the portion sizes are very reasonable but not huge. What I would call "human sized."

    I wanted to try La Sirene for very long time and finally had a chance to visit during Restaurant Week. There were so many items I wanted to try but I had foie gras and steak tartare for my choice. Food and service was excellent and the portions were larger than expected. The side veggies were so yummy too! I ended up taking some home as well as the dessert that came with the course. Had great time there and will visit again!

    We LOVE La Sirene! We’ve been going since they first opened, would only accept cash and didn’t have a liquor license. Food is unique and amazing. Service was great As usual, my wife couldn’t resist and had the goat cheese tart as an appetizer and then couldn’t finish the rabbit entree, so she had to skip dessert. I had the mini-ravioli (by far my fave on the entire menu) and the fillet with foil gras. If NYC wasn’t 40 miles away (which is 2hrs by car each way) we’d fine there weekly. My only minor complaint is that it was a little warm in the restaurant. The overhead a/c units either need to be turned on, turned up, or replaced. We eat out regularly - 3-4 times a week, and are world travelers. This is our favorite restaurant by far and one we visit for special occasions. Highly recommended.

    From the first time eating there back when it was still a whole in the wall and finally having a chance to go back again, I will say the food taste just as great as when it first opened. Didier's a master at his craft. Everything from the foie gras, ravioles, duck breast and hanger steak entrees made with perfection...love this place!

    La Sirene is a relaxed and friendly place to eat. Our waitress was wonderful. My only complaint was about the entree: I ordered the sliced duck breast medium rare, but it was served to me medium—just slightly pink—and this was a disappointment. Other than that, the meal was wonderful.

    I had a lovely dinner with wine . Kinda strange to find as address and signage was not easy to see with trees. The Escargo and rabbit were lovely. However a French restaurant without crème brûlée or chocolate moose for dessert was a little sad on my end. But I did suffer nicely through a lovely chocolate soufflé

    An unapologetic chef has curated a fantastic menu at this restaurant. My party of 5 enjoyed every bite. Tasty appetizers, excellent lamb and duck servings, and yummy desserts, paired with a good wine selection. The service team was excellent too. We will be back! If you like foie gras, try it here! The seared option was phenomenal. The lamb is a winner of an entree. Highly recommend.

    Best dinner I had in NYC. Such fine food - the hanger steak was to die for! The quail and escargots were amazing. Service people were lovely as well :) it’s so worth the hefty price!

    My husband and I are from Boston and wanted to do something different with our anniversary and decided to head to NYC for the night. As French is my favorite cuisine we chose this restaurant based on the menu and the fact that we could bring our own wine! The restaurant was small but the spacing between tables didn't make it feel small! Our servers were very informatavite and pleasant. As for the meal, we chose 3 apps and 2 dinners (we had noticed that the dishes were a decent size but not huge, so we wanted to try different things). We started with Seared Foie Gras and Escargot and both were outstanding! We followed with mussels and chose though French Caribbean style, although I think I would have liked the curry better. The mussels were good, but out of all the things, our least favorite. For dinner my husband chose the hanger steak and I had the filet with foie gras and truffle sauce and OMG were they both amazing! We decided not to get a dessert because we were full but they brought us complimentary profiteroles with a sugar glaze and cream stuffing and I dream about these now, they were outstanding and I'm not a sweets person. For the corking fee, the website said $10 but because it was a weekend it was $20, which was still fine but should have been clearer. The food was rich and decedent and I would definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone wanting a quality French meal.
