Classic upside down caramelized apple tart
Banana Brulée (Signature)
My version of banana pudding. It's served cold and it's not a crème brulée ! Made with Home Made smashed "Nila" Style Waffles, Special Home Vanilla Grand-Marnier Custard
Great meal and wonderful service unique but classic french in a cozy atmosphere
It was on thanksgiving and there were a lot of people, which is why I rated the noise level as energetic, but the food was amazing and despite having a lot of people, the servers were really caring. The food was amazing. It was my first time trying french cuisine, and It really gave me a positive impression. Definitely recommend this place.
I hadn't been here in many years, so it was a delight to find that this restaurant was as wonderful as I remembered. The food is fabulous. Friends we were with had just returned from France and said these escargots were as good or better than any they had eaten there. The portions are generous without being overwhelming. The desserts are awesome - our only complaint: we had decided to share two for four people. We really should have had four. The server was nice and helpful without being too much. We will definitely go back although it is not at all geographically convenient. Worth the trip.
My guest and I had a lovely evening once we found the restaurant. The name on Open Table is incomplete. This is a cozy French food restaurant with a romantic side and brighter side. We chose the romantic side. My guest had the mixed greens salad and was very pleased. I had the roasted pear topped with blue cheese set aside mixed greens. Loved the mixed greens that included mango and radishes. Pear was delicious in parts but needed more of the blue cheese and much of the pear was unripe and hard despite the roasting. The bread provide to the table was excellent. My guest had the mussels the classic way and found it outstanding. I had the hanger steak and it can perfectly rare and was close to perfect. Four vegetables come with the entrees. I really liked the purée of carrots. Our served was appropriately attentive and friendly. Will go back.
Lovely service, delicious food.
Muy recomendable. Comida, servicio, ambiente, iluminación y bajo nivel de ruido. ¡Excelente!
We went here for a romantic Birthday dinner and it was everything I could have wished for. Food was AMAZING and authentic. The wait staff were friendly , attentive and helpful . This is not just the perfect date spot but a great place for a delicious dinner for any group! We will be returning.
The duck and steak are overcooked.
We had such a lovely meal start to finish. Excellent service! Great escargot and the truffle lamb chops were delicious. Excited to go back and do it all over again.
Good food, service was ok. Had a server trying to push us to buy more a more expensive bottle of wine, once we didn’t he refused to come back to our table. Kind of rude.
Food was very good. Waiter was friendly, knowledgeable, and comfortably attentive. I would certainly go back!
Superb dinner. Everything was perfect! The mussels, goat cheese tarte, beet salad, rack of lamb, rabbit, cassoulet. A perfect 10!! Go and enjoy.
Authentic bistro, excellent escargots and the mussels were divine. They ran out of my favorite dessert, but the choux were a great substitution. Been here many times and so glad they are still around
Honestly everyone was nice but it was way too small and there could of been more food.
THE BEST French food in the city. Almost amazing French onion soup and escargot I’ve ever had. I would come here every day if I could.
Intimate bistro with personal service great menu and approachable wine list. Our apps were calamari, beet salad and steak tartare- all excellent.
Mains were awesome - highly recommend the lamb chops and duck breast.
Had a magical evening at La Sirene. No regrets.
La Sirene was a great place to eat French cuisine. Although I was surprised to find, upon arrival that they only accepted American Express and cash as forms of payment. Happy that I never leave home without an Amex in my wallet.
Fantastic Meal and experience, cozy place, great food and wine.
I can not say enough good things about this lovely restaurant! Service, Food & ambiance. What French food should be.
Outdoor dining, noisy traffic only on occasion/surprisingly quietish considering near tunnel traffic. Congenial servers, wonderful pork and isles flottantes dessert!
La Sirene, was everything we expected and more. We had an outside table on a beautiful Oct 2nd evening. The service was very good, our server was friendly and helpful. The food was fantastic, the escargot was as good as I've had and the quail was the best I've had in years. I would definitely recommend this eatery!
Food was mediocre (escargot:good, foiegras: mediocre, filet mignon: mediocre, and sides:subpar) and definitely didn’t appreciate the fact that all the service staff were maskless and our waiter was sniffing (runny nose? Allergies? COVID?) the entire time while speaking with us. If you’re having any abnormal symptoms, the least you can do is put on a mask. We left thinking we might have caught something. Hopefully it wasn’t COVID.
My wife and I had a wonderful evening. The food and service was excellent
Terrific, classic French restaurant. A hidden gem.
Food was great!
The food was amazing. We ordered the rabbit and the steak, both cooked to perfection.
Came here during Restaurant Week and absolutely love the food, service, and vibe. The flavors at La Sirene were exquisite and the texture had great contrast. I thought the portion sizes were reasonable and left full. 10/10 would recommend! From the RW menu, we got French Onion Soup, Pate, Tenderloin w/ cranberry sauce, and Beef Tartare. From regular menu, we also got the escargots and truffle ravioli to try. All items were yum!
Fantastic restaurant week menu and wonderful service!
The food was to die for and service did not disappoint. Attentive and kind staff. The Escargot is a must have! Great wine selection and the profiteroles were divine. Highly recommend to anyone looking for authentic French cuisine in NYC!
Love the place, its our 3rd time in one of the La Sirene locations and the food is just as good as before Covid. Closest experience to a real parisen restaurant you can find in nyc for a good value.
I came here for restaurant week. Amazing food, with excellent service! A small cute place, but if you’re looking for a really French cuisine restaurant in NYC, try La Sirene!
superb value; genuinely French. Whomever is the kitchen takes great care.
Delicious food for restaurant week and the service was great.
Service was rushed and not very friendly
Food, service and ambiance are all excellent. We have no complain.
Food excellent as usual. Good value. Service erratic as usual. Waiter wanted my food order before we could order drinks. Did not enjoy sitting at a fondue table in the back room. Still, we will be back.
Excellent food - escargot, homemade pate, quail and hanger steak - everything was delicious and beautifully served. The house Bordeaux well selected and worked very nice with our meal. We left happy and will be back soon. The only negative comment - they don't take Visa, so need to carry more cash than I usually carry around.
Went for restaurant week. The menu was terrific. Great choices. Delicious dessert. Staff excellent. Highly recommend
Wonderful food and nice attentive service. Decor is nothing special, except for the windows which open in the summer.
Four-star rating is due to the fact that my companion was kept waiting outside for five minutes for no reason. She was told I had not yet arrived, but I had, ten minutes before, and had checked in with the maitre d' and been seated. My companion is 81 years old and it was NOT COOL to keep her standing outside waiting like that due to lack of proper communication between staff and front-of-the-house.
The food was excellent and our waiter was charming, so we will be back and hope that was just an unfortunate glitch.
