Was looking forward to their cassoulet. Advertised to be rich but I didn’t think it had much flavor, not like other cassoulet I’ve had recently.
A real find. The food and the service were great!
It was very nice.
We go back every few months, it is good food and a comfortable.unique atmosphere.
the server was nice and friendly but was too casual. need better attention detail. but enjoyed the food
Great food, staff, and service.
The restaurant should be more explicit about the Amex credit card or cash only policy. They do have an ATM right outside that charges $3 fee for taking out cash. If I knew this before visiting, I would have carried my Amex card. Other than this quirky thing, it was a decent experience.
La Sirène is friendly, comfortable and the food is delicious. Seared foie gras, hanger steak seared in butter, cassoulet, and banana brûlée. Perfect dinner.
We always enjoy La Sirene and appreciate their BYO policy. The food is good and service is attentive. Make sure to take cash or the right type of credit card, as they don't take all types of cards.
This restaurant is always delicious and as far from stuffy as you can get with this level of French cuisine.
One of the best dinners I've had in a long time! The place is low key and good for dates. The food was spectacular! I suggest the escargot and the steak which was perfectly cooked and melted in our mouths with hints of red wine and truffle. The service was great and everyone was friendly. We also enjoyed the Isles flotantes for dessert. Just remember Amex is the only card accepted (there's a little story about why on the menu :)). Totally recommended and can't wait to go back :)
A great restaurant I have been here for so many years. Food is really good, people are nice out there, the environment is very comfy. Traditional french food.
Food and service here has always been consistently very good. Not much atmosphere but that's always a distant third factor for me. My most recent meal here though hit a big pothole. I ordered a bottle of Pinot Noir without looking at the wine list because all of their wines were reasonably priced -- or at least used to be. I was shocked at the $63 charge for a pleasant but unremarkable wine. I learned that the owner recently jacked up all the wine prices. Sorry, but this is not the class of restaurant that can charge sky high prices and get away with it. I guess they are not interested in selling wine anymore, as I certainly won't be doing so again unless sanity is restored to the price list. I doubt any other regulars will do so either.
We were there for the restaurant week lunch. Service was just about minimal, not so careful, just like what you expect to get in a cheap diner. We were a 4 ppl party and at the end we were automatically charged 20% tips with such minimal service! Never seen such tip charge before at all. I’d except typically 18% for group or 6 or more and being told at the beginning. More importantly, 20% tip just doesn’t justify service we received. Food on the restaurant week menu was really mediocre and two à la carte were fine.
My favorite french food. Escargot, peach salad, and steak were excellent
Superb service and yummy food ! Went for restaurant week and can’t wait to go back !
A fine restaurant with south French vibe. The escargots and rabbit was excellent. It was my first time to try escargots and it was a very good experience. The food is a bit greasy but in a good way. Both dishes I had is full of the smell of butter which I loved.
The service was not good!
Coming to this restaurant since it opened and always enjoying a good house Bordeaux at a reasonable price, I was shocked when the wine almost doubled in price without any explaination The fifty dollar bottle of wine is not a price adjustment but a complete "rip off" and I think Didier knows that.

Excellent food, very quiet low key place, somewhat old fashioned but also in a good way...
I went to New York Restaurant week with my friend. The service is great, I feel comfortable and relaxing. The environment is cozy and food is good. I definitely will come here again.
Food was okay, great service!
Fresh and beautiful food, though you do pay for it. Rushed service that won't even fill the glass for you. Disappointed.
We had the restaurant week menu. The ravioli was really delicious. The hanger steak and braised rabbit was also great. Will definitely come again.
I dined there for restaurant week for lunch on Sunday and boy, was it packed. However, there was only 1 waiter and maybe the manager running the tables, sitting down guests, confirming reservations so that was startling. The decor was rather stuffy and the tables were so tight together that trying to enter and exit was a bit of a hassle. The food was okay, maybe I'm just not used to French food but I didn't think all too much of it. I probably would've preferred to come for French restaurant week instead of NYC restaurant week.
We came here for our one year anniversary and everything was exquisite. Good wine, AMAZING escargot (they even showed us the proper way to eat them), perfectly cooked entrees, and delicious dessert. Everything was seasoned just right. Omg the escargot. Really we could have bottled the sauce and taken shots of it, it was THAT good. Absolutely go here; you’ll be glad you did.
My favorite French restaurant in NYC. The pate de campagne is the best outside France!
Love French onion soup and the raw steak tartare, so tasty. The homemade ice cream is so special and love the banana brulee, the desert is always my favorite. Overall Food and service are really great, but the space is too tight especially restroom
The front entrance alone reflects a quaint place specifically flowers painted on the windows. The food I had was delicious (escargot and steak).
I found the restaurant in Open Table and also looked into reviews in different platforms. I thought the food was good, but I am wrong. 1 star.
Great food and sevice!
We had the most amazing dinner at La Sirene. It was our 2nd anniversary after getting engaged in Paris, so we wanted a authentic French restaurant. After some research, I decided to make this reservation. They sat me down right away even though my husband was a few minutes behind me and the restaurant was full.
Our dinner was amazing. For appetizers we had the homemade Pate, which was delicious, and our favorite, the mini sensual raviolis. This was to die for.
For our Entrees, I had the rack of lamb which was perfectly cooked. I asked for it to be done to chefs choice! Thank you! My husband had the filet mignon. It was also amazing, most especially the sauce, wow.
We couldn’t have had a more perfect dinner- EXCEPT- our dessert put it even over the top! The big profiteroles were ridiculous. I feel redundant in my “review” of all the food, but it was sincerely a great experience from the ambiance, to the service, to the food. I have no complaints.
Thank you to all the staff for a perfect anniversary dinner! We will be back!
The restaurant week menu is just ok, not many choices, maybe regular menu is better
I first time order escargot that is really good and everyone should have a try!
This is our favorite French restaurant in NYC! We travel 4 hours for dinner! Outstanding food, service and ambiance!❤️
Cute restaurant w/ good food. The banana brûlée is soo good.
The food is just so so. We waited so long to get our entree. It seemed like we have been forgotten.
My favorite French restaurant in NYC. The ravioli, the steak, ilflotante, the BEST!!!!!
Nice dining environment and the servers are great. They only have two servers but are able to run it efficiently and answer the customers with passion
