Toscanaccio vero, questo ristorante del centro storico di Firenze. Situato in via del Ponte Sospeso, La Scarpetta metta in tavola tutte le prelibatezze della cucina toscana: dai pici ai taglieri di salumi toscani, dal patè di fegatini alla bistecca. Ma per gli amanti di sapori più delicati ci sono anche buone pietanze di pesce che richiamano alla cucina mediterranea della costiera toscana. La Frittura di mare è per esempio un’ottima alternativa all’Hamburger di Chianina con cipolla fondente! La Scarpetta si trova a pochi passi dall’Arno di Firenze e proprio accanto a piazza Taddeo Gaddi: posizione perfetta per sfuggire al rumore del centro ma anche per stare a pochi passi dalle bellezze artistiche di Firenze!

This restaurant did not have many reviews on OpenTable, however Trip Advisor had more with a 4.5 rating, so I went on a whim. And La Scarpetta was very good! I had the Carbonara, and it was delicious! I also ordered the side of green salad, also very good! The salad could have been a meal in itself! I got there early and the restaurant was very quiet, but before I left more and more people showed up.

Great food, meatballs, carbenera, and especially the tiramisu were wonderful. There was a kid blasting music and a dog barking which put a damper on the experience. Service was great though!
