Joseph was our server and he was excellent. He did not rush us and let us enjoy our appetizers and drinks.
We had the queso with chorizo and it was divine. I had the Carne Asada and it was cooked medium rare just as I requested. It is my favorite thing on the menu. My husband had the steak fajitas and was also very pleased.

Good Food! Service was OKAY overall. I enjoyed going out to dinner with a friend to celebrate my birthday but I didn't feel the service was what it normally is.

The food was taste-wise good! The lack of ample heating for patio seating was a huge disappointment. It was NYE and we are from out of town. Our food was cold within 1 min of being set on the table. Beans were cold, fajita meat cold, chairs were metal...the waitress was nice though. Just hate that we were reassured that it was a heated patio. We still needed scarves and blanket on sitting out there.... wasn’t windy thank God. The restaurant sign wasn’t lit up... looked blacked out like all the surrounding closed businesses- the Lyft driver or us couldn’t find it. When we finally saw it, we had drove passed it 2x already. Feel like to save any business these times...more of an effort needs to be done to make the dining al least sort of comfortable.

Day Denver went to Code Red restrictions was pleasantly surprised to be able to get a reservation, only ourselves and two other couples in the restaurant. It was nice!

The staff was nice but the food lacked a lot of flavor.
We had a great dinner here over the weekend. Our server, Guillermo was outstanding. He did not rush us and clearly a professional server. He recommended the Queso fundido for the fall weather and it was outstanding! I had the Carne Asada and my husband had the fajitas. Both were excellent. We will be back and glad to have found this restaurant in our new neighborhood!

Nice outdoor patio. Hostess was not friendly and our server wasn’t too friendly either. The margarita had no alcohol in it (or very little). I enjoy Richard Sandoval’s restaurants but was not very impressed with the servers at La Sandia. And the neighborhood! Good grief! Very chaotic with low riders and screaming children.
Food was great quality and well prepared, not blow you away good but tasty and well executed. Cocktails and service are great! Would definitely visit again. Would be a great place to go with friends as the staff is terrific and seems very capable of managing groups.
Great service. We had 7:30 reservations when they closed at 8pm. They never rushed us out of there. I think it was 9:30 before we left. Thank you for a great dining experience!

Disappointed that there was no corn tamale. Food we did have, was delicious. Server was spectacular.
My meal had a very odd taste, and I think the menu options are a bit overpriced.
This is an excellent restaurant! It has become a go-to for work events. I would highly recommend. Be sure to try their salsa and queso--both are unique and delicious.
Food was good but their service was horrible. The waitresses were rude the entire time complaining that they worked all day, that they had to be the bartender also because they didn't have one etc. Made a comment to Scott the manager and he was rude also blaming their bad service on covid. We've been eating out at many different restaurants and had nothing but good service during this pandemic. We won't be coming here again.

Steak tacos were great. Burritos not. Fajitas not great either. Not many toppings.

During the Covid quarantine, a foursome of us (> 68 y/o) have been in a bubble together. We started out getting take out from various restaurants. We have now graduated to dine in when the establishment is serious about social distancing. Today, we tried La Sandia-Central Park/Northfield area.
We are experienced Mexican food eaters and are particular. All in all, this food was right up there with the best. Between the four of us, we ordered: Chiicken nachos, chicken enchiladas, chicken tacos, and beef burrito. We all got stars for the “clean plate club.” All of the food was nicely plated, just the right saucy, nice and hot to the table, and seasoned well.
The frozen slushy margarita had by two of us, was delightful on this hot summer day.
All in all, we voted that we would return here again.
It took quite a while to get our drink delivered, we had ordered a pitcher of margaritas. I asked the server a couple of times, then finally went into the restaurant (we were sitting on the patio) to ask about it and the drink order was sitting on the bar ready. The pitcher was cracked in a couple of places and also not fully clean (there appeared to be residue from some strawberry margs left over it in, which is not appetizing). Overall it could be better.
Everything was really good, including the house margaritas which actually were great! Menu was more limited than I remember (maybe in this time?)
La Sandia is a great Mexican restaurant, tucked away within a shopping center. It was quiet on a Thursday evening. The host and waitress we had were very attentive. Food was delicious and exceeded expectations. Drinks were all handmade and equally as delicious!
Great food, outdoor seating without a lot of passers-by. Awesome place to dine outdoors in the summer, particularly with the current pandemic.

Service the last two visits has not been great. The first time, one person picked up our credit cards to have the other ring us out, but neither did. We waited forever and almost missed our movie. This time the runner kept trying to give us food that wasn't ours and our food to the table that had heated and waiting to leave. 2 not so good experiences
The drinks were amazing and so was the food!
Brunch was ok. We booked first thing so we could catch a early movie. Only ones in the restaurant. The waitress had some issues explaining some of the dishes. I wished they’d had more option. I thought about the waffles but who wants ice cream on their morning waffles, well maybe some but not me.

We ordered the mixed fajitas, the crispy fish street tacos, and plantains. All were very good. Wait staff was attentive and food arrived quickly. Recommend the corn cake for dessert!
The Chicken Zarape is delicious! Server could have been more attentive, brought us check before asking if we wanted another drink (which we did).
Food was good, a little bland. Server was amazing. Drinks were yummy.
