After making a reservation weeks in advance and receiving a confirmation, when we arrived at the restaurant for our special birthday reservation, there was a sign in the window that said they were closed for vacation. This is completely unacceptable for any patrons but even more so for international travelers who place our trust in Open Table to provide a confirmed reservation well in advance. Fortunately Mario’s in the next block felt sorry for us and shifted tables around to accommodate us. Their food was delicious and the restaurant was lovely. I highly recommend Mario’s. Don’t waste your time with a restaurant like La Reserve who thinks so little of its customers that they accept an Open Table reservation that they do not honor.

Can't remember having tasted better mussles. Small resto, good atmosphere, attended by owner and very reasonably priced. Great experience overall

Very enjoyable. Restaurant was surprisingly quiet for a Friday but we had no complaints. Food was very good and service friendly and helpful.

Excellent food, carefully crafted menu, authentic French dining with many great, small touches. Friendly and professional staff. I would certainly recommend to anyone looking for genuine and quality dining experience in the heart of cosy Ranelagh. Will certainly go again!

A very pleasant evening meal. Food delicious Service friendly too The only complaint was it was very cold. A bad draught of cold air coming through front entrance . Will go again but would appreciate if it were warmer

This is not a negative review about the restaurant as we never got to eat there! We booked dinner for 4 people for Christmas Eve on the 24th Dec 2017, I decided to call the restaurant on that morning to reconfirm our dinner reservation, They told us the restaurant was closed that night and that Open table was having problems with its system and it was all their fault and nothing to do with him. This is the first time I have ever had a problem with reservations on Open Table. Warning if you want to eat at this restaurant, call them to make a reservation.
