We had such a great experience at La Rambla! We were at Gem the night before (they share the same kitchen), as both came highly recommended from the locals. Food and service were excellent at both! We will definitely be looking forward to coming back next time we are in the area!
Good, but not great experience. A very quiet day probably due to the rain and wind. The restaurant layout reminded me of more of a bar than restaurant. Had the boquerones and the braised kale, both appetizers. The first needed something more to offset the sardine flavor and the kale swam in the braising liquid. A good try but not overwhelmed.
It was fun to try small plates of different dishes. The service and staff were very friendly and helpful. The noise level however was a bit too loud which made it difficult to carry on a conversation.
Amazing food! Our server was attentive and helpful with ordering for our party of 7. One of my favorite places for dinner in Mac!
Absolute perfection!!
Great variety and unique cuisine
The tapas were all amazing! Love the atmosphere and our server was great. Will definitely be back!
Wonderful food and atmosphere. Waitstaff is friendly and more than happy to explain menu items and make recommendations. Reservations are recommended to make for weekends. A little expensive, but the food is quite excellent.
This was one of the best places we have ever eaten. Definitely will. E going back.
We really enjoyed everything we ordered. The wine list is great. The paella is very good but it’s huge the small is enough to feed 8 people.
Great fun place, food was wonderful. Dined on a Sunday night and was still busy, nicely done.
Had a great birthday 🎉 today. This is our second time here and we will be back! The food was great.
Made reservations well in advance and still had to sit right by the front door where cold air and all the people come in!! WOW. really??
Fabulous place for a gathering of old friends. Enjoyed the family style tapas (dates were our tables favorite) and the paella was delicious.
This is our second time dining at La Rambla, visiting from the Seattle area. It is a cozy restaurant in the heart of downtown McMinnville with excellent Spanish food, a nice wine and spirits selection, and a friendly staff. We had a quality local pinot noir that was not significantly priced above the retail off the shelf cost at the large discount wine shop... overall, a very good value for a quality dining experience!
Wonderful food and atmosphere. My husband and I met another couple for the third Saturday McMinville Art and Wine Walk and enjoyed a fantastic meal afterwards. Reservations needed for that night and although the restaurant was packed, we had no trouble hearing each other at a table for 4. Exceptional service. This is the kind of food and atmosphere that you want to take your time and enjoy. Just as when dining in Spain, it's about the experience and the good company and conversation and you have no sense of being rushed. The paella takes a while to prepare, as it is made from scratch and it is worth the wait. We got appetizers and drinks to start, which worked out perfectly. Fantastic desert as well. An amazing value for the quality of food! We drive from Salem for special occasions to this restaurant. It's that good.
Second time eating here. We love it even more. The lamb dishes are excellent
We have been here multiple times now and it never disappoints . One dish is better than the next. The calamari was some of the best I've ever had. It is a must visit if you are in the area.
We had a get together with special friends. One needs GF options so this is a great place for him. The rest of us can get a fabulous meal also. Love the variety of unique items not found at every other restaurant. Perfect for a special occasion.
More than what I expected. Will go bsck
We were originally going to celebrate a family members Birthday in downtown Portland, but at the last minute decided to try La Rambla and head South. The small plates are excellent! We really enjoyed the lamb moruno...tasty! The sauteed green beans were excellent and so was the tortilla espanola. We also shared a large order of the mixed paella. While it was good, it was left in the oven a little too long, so the mussels, clams, and chorizo were dried out. The flavor of the dish was mild and pleasing. We had a party of four and the paella serving was perfect. To top it off, we ordered the chocolate picada torte and it was decadent!
We'd definitely go back but order more of the small plates as they were really good! If we order paella again, we might remind the kitchen not to over cook it. One of our party is a "manhattan" connoisseur and said the signature manhattan was very good...
Love this place and eager to return. The tapas are very good and we typically order off that menu. This time in addition we had the vegetarian paella and were very happy with it.
Beautiful atmosphere, terrible dinner. Mushroom soup tasted of the forest floor- in a bad way. Short ribs- beyond greasy. Foie gras- hurt til morning. The sangria was nice. GoodMorning 2018.
We made a last minute reservation for late afternoon on New Year's eve using Open Table. When we arrived they told us they were only serving at the bar as that night they were doing the NY Eve special event. Not sure why Open Table allowed us to book when they weren't taking reservations for just dinner (not the event.) When we told them we had a reservation the host immediately changed gear, seated us, and was attentive. It was obvious that we weren't in their plans but they made us feel welcome never the less. Unfortunately they weren't prepared for anyone to order of the menu so somethings were just not available but they still were troopers and prepared our small dish tapas. Every dish was better than the one before and that's hard to believe. We tried the Oregon Mushroom Flatbread that was rich, flavorful and the crust was soft and perfect. The Empananas and another potato dish were excellent also. Try the house Sangria. At $6 it's flavorful, just a little sweet, and incredibly smooth. I will definitely go back again. The food was fabulous and for making us feel welcome despite throwing them a curve ball with our reservation the service respectful, helpful and attentive. Any business that can treat unexpected customers with that level of service rocks in my book.
Amazing food!!!! The portions were decent sizes too! The waitress was super sweet and very helpful! The cocktails were delicious! Couldn't recommend this place more! We will absolutely be back
Our waitress was lovely -- attentive, well informed, and fast with a recommendation.
The food, however, was mediocre at best -- especially for the price. The patatas bravas were fairly unexciting, and the pork migas (a meat hash medley) was quite salty. The shrimp were under-seasoned and rubbery. And the spinach salad looked like a bag of spinach poored into a bowl with about a cup of shredded cheese on top. It was bland aside from the overabundance of cheese.
Desserts were a brighter note, with a lovely berry sauce drizzled flan and a nutty chocolate tort.
Again, our service was great, but the food was somewhat of a let down.
Food was good, as was service, but the overall restaurant could use a little cleaning. Menus were spotted and dirty, there were several used cloth napkins on the floor under the table, and the silverware had a multitude of water spots on it and did not look attractive.
Great Place for Lunch when visiting wine country. A group of 6 went wine tasting in the Willamette Valley. Stopped in for a bite to eat. Ordered off the Tapas menu to share and really enjoyed it. Food was delicious and the service was attentive. We even found Cabrales, Spanish blue cheese, on the menu which we love but not easy to find. Will definitely stop in again.
Would have been nice to have empty tapas plates taken away when a new tapa was brought out.
Had to ask for a second cup of coffee and was charged $2.00 for a refill and had to ask for cream.
A great time here!
Great little restaurant with good atmosphere and excellent Spanish influenced Tapas and entrees. Be sure to make your reservations on openTable, so you are assured of a spot tobdine!
We have been to LaRambla many times over the years, and it does not disappoint. The space/ambience is comfortable & fun, the cocktails are lovely, the food is excellent, and service is friendly and knowledgeable. Always a great experience.
Great options and prepared wonderfully. Service is first class and prices very reasonable for a restaurant of this class. We will be back with others for sure.
Everything exceeded expectations. A great date spot and a must return. Food was out of this world.
Flavors are great. Menu change for us since it had been awhile since dining there. Quantities seemed reduced and our food that had to be fried was very greasy. Atmosphere is always good though not very private and can be noisy. Small selection of yamhill county wines by the glass was a surprise.
I ate here 10 years ago and it seems that the food quality is not as tasty. I would consider it average.
Pleasantly surprised to find a Spanish restaurant in McMinnville. Food was excellent.
Went there for our anniversary dinner. Excellent food and service. The complimentary glass of Champagne was out standing. Other people who have eaten there say its a bit pricey, but for what you get, its really quite fair. Go and enjoy
It is a perfect stop for a wine country visit. Food was flavorful and staff was friendly.
Very good paella and wonderful tapas. I also had soup while my wife had several different small plates. We each had delicious sangria and the service was quick with a fun decor.
