La Quinta Cliffhouse Ratings and Reviews
Devon was our server, and she was informative, patient, helpful, cheerful, and paced the meal nicely.
Cocktails were delightful, and we ordered a bottle of wine from the extensive list.
Starters, Caesar and Wedge Salads were fresh, crisp, and well-dressed.
Main courses, Beef Short Ribs, Salmon (2) and Flatiron Steak were accompanied by yummy mashed potatoes, and lovely vegetables ranging from asparagus to broccolini to whole artisanal carrots.
Dessert was this very cool ice cream/cake/coconut item that defies description.
Devon was the key ingredient to this dining experience; she served us with effortless mastery.
Andy & Donna Gregg,
When we arrived at 5:40 for our 5:45 reservation we noticed the place was packed - between the Sunset Dinner patrons and the Hppy Hour - there was scarcely a place to sit or stand. That being said - the hostess was amazingly efficient and obtained us excellent seating on a side wall within a very reasonable period of time. (I am partially deaf, with certain seating needs, and the restaurant was aware of those and accommodated them). The "people watching" was itself entertainment and made the wait just fine! The food was absolutely excellent and the service ranked in the same class. The next time we will choose a reservation start time at 6:30 -- 6:45 - because the venue will be a little less crowded. Real Plusses-- the complimentary valet parking. Extremely well done.
Food was ok- nothing special. Hosted a dinner for family and was disappointed after hearing so many good things. Prime rib was ok, chicken was good. The desserts were terrible- would not ever get dessert there again. Service was subpar, mainly due to our waitress having too many tables IMHO.
we were visiting from canada and had such a great experince in november that we encouraged friends to come with us on return. We had a near perfect experience again other than that the curry veggie dish was missing the " curry" and was flavorless. We did enjoy the vegetables that were the main reason for the order. Appreciated the 1/2 price wine night. We will see you next visit to Palm Springs....
The beet salad was one of the best I have ever eaten. Two of use had the scallops that were so big we each had two to take home. We asked the best was to reheat them and our waiter checked with the chef who gave us excellent directions. The were still delicious reheated. My husband had the seafood bowl that was huge and filled with shrimp, scallops, lobster and white fish. He said it was really good. The service was top notch. We will definitely go there again.
Great service, the margaritas were really good, the bread was warm and tasty, the main courses were perfect. Special compliments on the Cajun catfish and anniversary dessert. We ate on the patio at sunset which was beautiful. Sunset meal prices were reasonable, but must order by 5 pm. Happy hour prices did not apply to patio.
