Our dinner last evening at La Quinta Cliffhouse was great. Following cocktails, for an appetizer we shared a Shrimp Cocktail (five large prawns) followed by our entrees, Seabass and Braised Short Ribs, with our Rombauer Chardonnay. For dessert we shared a Creme Brulee. All food items were tasty,delicious and perfectly done. Our Server, Andy, was outstanding.....efficient and attentive!

It was a cool evening but we decided to eat outside on the patio. With the heaters going and the full moon with the beautiful patio lights, it was the perfect experience. Then there was the delicious food. We both enjoyed the short ribs with a bottle of Pinot Noir. It was the perfect evening.

Wonderful venue. Outside seating was so beautiful and festive. Not loud either. Some entrees better than others but overall a very nice experience. Would definitely return on another trip to La Quinta.

I presented a $1- Opentable reward Card and the manager told me it does not work. I called the number on the card and the gentleman told me they tried to put thru the entire cost of my dinner instead of $10. I gave the phone to the manager to speak to the representative and work it out. The next thing I know the waiter gives me back my phone with no comment. I was given the bill with the entire amount charged to my regular credit card. The manager Lauren Ciano was nasty and told me that that was the end of the story. Basically for $10 they lost a regular customer of 15 years . Not smart business

Came here with family Friday after Thanksgiving Day. Restaurant was very busy. Knew that fish was on the menu when we walked in. Room we were in was a little too noisy so not easy to visit with someone sitting diagonally across the booth, which seated six of us at an oblong table. The food was delicious. Service adequate but not overly attentive; the waiter was and friendly and offered suggestions when asked. I would definitely return.

Thanking reservations. They served cold food and neglected to say they were out of stuffing and cranberry sauce. Service was slow but that would have been fine if the food had been decent. I had waited all day to enjoy dinner and no real apology offered. They did remove the 1 dinner charge after it was retuned to be reheated but it came back with hot plate and cold food! Happy Thanksgiving! NOT

We had a very disappointing experience on Thanksgiving evening. With no advanced warning there was no stuffing or cranberries for the Turkey dinner and no sweet potatoes for the pork chop dinner. The Brussels sprouts far exceeded ‘charred’. Dry and tasteless. Only 2 of the 3 offered desserts were available and the portion size was very small. Down right pitiful. We did start out our dinner with good cocktails, though overpriced, and good soup and salad. The service was good though I felt bad for our server who constantly had to tell us all the items they were out of after delivering our dinners. Considering the overpriced Thanksgiving dinner price, you at least expect all the food to be served as the menu advertised. Absolutely no accommodation was made for the poor experience we had. Never again.

Ran out of two out of 5 pri-fix menu items for Thanksgiving dinner. As well as out of stock on dessert ordered. Even though they confirmed our attendance three times. Doing the right thing would have been to tell us in advance versus us wondering what we were missing once the order showed up.

Thanksgiving dinner at this beautiful restaurant! Never had been and always drove by. Thanksgiving dinner food at a restaurant is never as good as at home but they did a nice job. Big portion, tasty. Husband had a pork chop with sweet potatoes that he loved. Great bread, very nice wine. Yummy apple tart for dessert. Beautiful setting. We went at 4:30 so we could see the mountains before the sun set. The walk up to the restaurant through the rocks and water is very pretty. The dining room and bar are tastefully decorated with ambient lighting at night. The outside sitting areas (2) look great for daytime drinks or happy hour. We will definitely come back and recommend it.

We have gone to Cliff House for years for Thanksgiving and its always been great, but now the prices are high and the food value has gone down. We asked for a special booth which we always get and they sat us at a table for two, my husband was facing the window with the sun in his eyes, the solar shade does not good and you can't close the curtain and our booth became available before we ordered anything but thee waitress acted like, oh well, to bad and never offered to let us go to our favorite booth, BUT it ended up not mattering because the food was terrible. Jim had the salmon, a little SLICE, sitting on a huge pile of mashed potatoes and I had the pork chop which was OK, but the mashed yams were bland and the Brussel sprouts were burned on the outside and we each had the pumpkin pie that you could almost see it on the plate, it was dark colored, tasteless and the crust was disgusting and, a tiny blob of whip cream from a can, and we each took one bite of the pie and left the rest. WE WILL NEVER GO BACK for any holiday meal. No we did not complain because the tables were so close to others and we did not wish to ruin their evening. The Cliff House has always had exceptional food, but not this time. We were terribly disappointed and spent almost $200.00 and we know excellent food. We have always though of the Cliff House as a five start restaurant but we felt ripped off. We would recommend the Cliff House to others and have, but not for a holiday meal.

The service was great. The obeisance was as well. Timing was perfect, but.. The food arrived lukewarm at best. The pork chop was very good, but the turkey dinner was mediocre. Key lime pie was just a small sliver. As for value, way over priced. $68 for the turkey dinner, $70 for the pork chop dinner, and $35 for the kids turkey dinner. Won't be back.

We were seated early, but were not offered to sit on one of their two lovely outdoor patios. Maybe we didn't tip the host? It was Thanksgiving so not your normal day. No self-parking, only complimentary (with tip of course) valet parking. The menu choices were limited. I had steak at $88 and my dad had turkey at $68, IIRC. They seemed to be short staffed. One server tried to bring our main courses before getting our salads. We had to insist that we wanted our salads first. The food was respectable, but not outstanding. Inside was noisy and you're seated very close to other diners. They had the window coverings down so no view at all. The turkey was a bit dry, but the miso clam chowder was delicious as was the steak. If you go, ask to sit outside. We should have done that.

For a holiday dinner (thanksgiving) there was fair value for the meal. The service was excellent. The ambience was perfect for the occasion as we were able to carry on a normal conversation. Would easily recommend this experience to others (and I have).

One of our favorite places to celebrate our anniversary. We had the salmon and sea bass. Both were amazing as was the corn soup and clamps chowder. For dessert there was a tasty ice cream pie. Waiter was very personable as was the other waitstaff.

The salad was not how it was described on the menu. The manager came over, said she was aware of the problem and apologized and we were given a free drink. This was not communicated to me when I ordered it.

Overall,we had a very nice evening. Service started out great but there was about a half hour wait between salad course and entree. I had the small portion sea bass which was excellent however my husband ordered the pork chop which he said was mediocre. My cousin ordered the small plate cerviche but was disappointed as he didn’t feel the ingredients were 100% fresh. His wife ordered the salmon which she felt was spicier than her previous meal there. Very pretty views, think I would recommend the outdoor seating when the weather gets a bit warmer.

The service/ambiance were wonderful. They turned the heater on for us and then later off when it got too hot. It is a beautiful facility, very cozy and lighting was beautiful. Now for the food. I got a New York steak which I asked for medium; I got well done. The steak was so tough, I asked for a sharper knife. It actually was inedible (gave it to my husband to finish!). The asparagus was so tough and stringy, I didn't eat any of it. I couldn't bite it to separate even the tender end - it was just strings. The wine and salad were good.

Celebrated our daughter’s 25th birthday at Cliffhouse. The staff went above and beyond to make the evening special. In addition, every dish we ordered was delicious. Add the spectacular outdoor seating and it was a wonderful evening on so many levels!
