We went while we were vacationing in Montreal as a late Valentine's special dinner. I had the filet mignon and it was cooked perfectly. The sides are large enough to share and we were waited on hand and foot from the second we walked in until the moment we left. Definitely recommend this restaurant for a nice date night or special occasion. The menu is pricey but worth it for celebrating something special
VERY disappointed- the first course was great- Oysters, Salmon Sashimi , Sea Urchin and crab cocktail. My entree was not great I had asked for my Salmon entree to be cooked Med/ Well it came out raw the bartender didn't come back over to see how our entrees we're he was too busy with the rich folks next to us and when he finally did I told him about my salmon being raw he offered us a free dessert and what I thought was him taking off the Salmon from the bill - which is the right thing to do. However he charged us for the badly prepared Salmon and for the desserts. The bartender was not very good at listening or multi taking more concerned about who was going to give him a big tip- I was more bent then my boyfriend so I didn't tell the manager- I should have. The bartender was money hungry and slimy about the way he charged us he turned it around to say he never said that the desert we wanted was on the house for the entree disaster. The bill was heafty but we knew that going in - the value and service NOT WoRTH it - go downtown to old Montreal to Hambar so much better !!!!

On a super bien mangé, franchement c'est de la bonne nourriture et on le sent à chaque bouchée. Ma copine est moi étions plus que satisfait du service et de la nourriture, nous avons passé un très bon moment. Merci pour tout.
Third time back. First in the new location. Would and have recommended over and over. Service from Charlie was impecable.

This was my first time eating here and i honestly would probably come back. It was also my first time trying oysters and they were great. The side of mushrooms, pickles and asparagus we had were all tops in quality and flavour. My only concern really was the fact that it took over 45 minutes and several attempts to get our bill. It ended up being a three hour experience and that soured it. We asked on numerous occasions for the bill and were told over and over that there was no rush. When i ask for a bill i am looking to leave. Almost felt like our table of 5 was delayed getting a bill to keep the appearance of the restaurant being busier than it really was. We had made reservations a week out but could have easily been seated as a walkin.
Service was just amazing
C'est la première fois que nous sortions dans un vrai restaurant. Le service était impéccable. Nos deux serveurs étaient la crème de la crème. La nourriture était excellente. Ce fut une agréable soirée. Le prix en valait largement la peine.

Over priced and not even great quality. The cooked my steak medium when I asked for Med/Rare my husbands was rare med/rare and he asked for Med. His could be fixed mine could not. I wasn't going to send a second steak back to not eat with the other diners. We were shown a lobster that we could share and though a great idea. Well it was tough and we were charged $150.00 for it. I feel like we got taken. I was disappointed as we looked at lots of choices and decided on the restaurant. For four people no appetizer and One bottle of wine and two beers was $700. That's a lot of money to be disappointed.

The ambiance was really nice and welcoming but we did not find the food to be worth the price. We had a vegetarian in our group and as it was a steakhouse we decided to ask about the vegetarian options before making our reservation. The management responded quickly and said they had vegetarian and vegan options and provided us with some examples including certain pasta options. We were happy with the response and made our reservation. Unfortunately, once at restaurant, we were told that there were no vegetarian options and that the person could pick from the side dishes. When we mentioned that the management had said they could make pasta, they simply said "you can have mac and cheese". Then the salad had bacon in it. Needless to say that contrary to the information provided to us by management, they do not accommodate for vegetarians.
I had an excelente dinner along with my family (4 under 16 year-old kids). The service is fantastic. All waiters are there to make you feel great. Food is great and the appetizers were highly appreciated by my kids (dumplings and shrimps). Congrats!!! We'll come back in our next visit to Montreal.
The quality of the food does not go with the prices. My filet mignon was just ok, not particularly tender, not that tasty, I can very honestly say that the one at the Keg is better. It is the kind of restaurant that there are multiple people serving you, and at first there seemed to be lack of communication between them, but when one guy took over, then the service was very good. Overall, overpriced for what you get

A great visit. I was seated at the bar. Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable about the food and wine, and you knew they enjoyed their work.
I enjoyed my meal and my time there tremendously.
Service was amazing. All the food, including the beluga caviar we ordered, was top notch right up until the steak. Unfortunately, "the star of the show" didn't perform up to par, not even close.
The Ontario "waygu" wouldn't have won against a baseball steak at the keg . . . . honestly.
What a shame, as the lead up to the entree was 10/10. Overall, value for the money just wasn't there. Manager had a chance to make it right, and dropped the ball...2 free desserts doesn't make up for that...sorry.
Overall very satisfied! Food and ambiance was great. I would say that pricing is steep.

Met for a business lunch. There’s nothing inherently wrong with the restaurant but it’s hard to really appreciate its potential when your party of three and one other group of 2 are the only ones. We were also inexplicably asked to sit at a basement table even though the main floor also has no patrons, but I suppose a private corner has its advantages.
Oysters were standard fare (fresh) and came with a nice mignonette but at $4.50-$5.00 per oyster, you’re looking at a 50-66% markup even when compared to other restaurants of the same caliber. Unless you’re absolutely craving oysters, don’t bother as they’re not worth it.
The steak I had was decent but not memorable. For a steak supposedly aged for 45-60 days, I expected a much deeper beef flavour than what I received. The marbling on my cut was fine except for one gigantic piece of fat concentrated in the inner part of the cut (Lou cut). I did inquire about whether they had any others that did not have as much fat but was told they were all the same. On my way out it turned out they had several better marbled pieces of the same cut but I guess it’s better to get of the less desirable pieces first.
Service is where I had the biggest issue. It was painfully obvious to me and my guests that our server was more interested in pushing the more expensive items on the menu versus explaining what was on offer. There was a look of annoyance when we chose not to order alcohol that didn’t go unnoticed. Next, for reasons beyond me, the only rib cut that was available was the Lou cut (most expensive) because the other two were not available. It baffles me that at lunchtime there would be no more rib cuts left to serve when lunch service was only halfway done and there were no other customers. Third, the server also seemed overly concerned that we might return our food in case we didn’t like it.
Perhaps dinner might offer a better experience as I can see it being livelier given the layout. For lunch, look elsewhere.
quiet monday night, service was good, OYsters were good, wine list was not impressive at all and steak was really below average. Much better options out there in Montreal for better steak and quality.
Amazing evening! Go big or go home....from the large martini to the extra huge shrimp to the Flintstones size beef....wow! The servers make it extra special...felt like royalty. Thank you for the memorable evening.
So disappointed- staff were unreal/ only good thing about this restaurant - food - not worth it - way overpriced - lobster was undercooked and far too much sauce .. Who does that? Steak was decent - side veg was pathetic - would not recommend or return. ....even the waiter wanted to comp us dessert - but the owners wouldn’t have it - bill for 2 ppl $350+.... wasted

Very nice. Great steaks and a stunning dining room. Expensive but a nice splurge. Amazing wine list with prices to match but if you go in expecting a great experience you won’t be disappointed at all.
The food was very disappointing. My filet mignon was not very impressive - cold and lacking in flavour. Even the presentation was lacking. My husband does a far superior job cooking filet mignon. I had heard good things about this restaurant and was looking forward to trying it out. Not somewhere I will go again. My husband asked for sautéed onions and mushrooms with his steak. The onions were not on the menu. Our waiter told us it wouldn't be a problem only to have to come back and tell us the chef said no. First time that has ever happened. On a positive note, the service was first rate. No complaints there whatsoever. All staff were friendly and extremely helpful and pleasant to deal with.
The price does not match the experience. Apps came 15 minutes apart, steak was cold and over cooked with little flavor and vodka list was boring given all the new choices on the market. There is better option in Montreal for an overall experience.
