Food was delicious as always and service is always great!!
It is a quaint small restaurant with great food and awesome service. Thanks
Always consistent good food
Always the best food!
Our Second visit to La Polpetta. My dish was excellent. My fiance's Chicken Saltabucca was dry, hard to cut the chicken, bland taste, disappointing. Cost to eat went up substantially from a year ago. The menu was a Valentines menu we were told. We were expecting to view their meatballs on the menu, they were missing. Main reason we went to the restaurant. Its BYOB, which is great. Everything on the menu was Al la Cart, We an appetizer. No bread accompanied our meal, a first when eating at an Italian restaurant for us. The value wasn't worth it. I spent with tip $71.71 and we had our own wine.
This is a small home like mom and pops restaurant with amazing food and friendly service. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who is craving really good Italian food. I also really like that it is a BOYOB spot.
Food was good but pricey especially considering there was no ambience. Bathrooms are in a dark corner with no lighting and we sat at a table that was up against a counter which limited your movement.
We went for valentines dinner with our 11 year old daughter, and we all loved everything! Even though it was busy, service was great and food was amazing. We will be back very soon.
The food is always amazing here! The fries gnocchi are to die for and every entree that we have tried has been amazing! Small quaint restaurant, with a lot of big flavors!
Best restaurant in south jersey. Highly recommend.
Food is always good here, but service has been very slow in the past. It seems they have added more staff, so we didn't wait as long as usual for our food. The one down side is a limited menu, but everything they service is delicious and prepared nicely.
Food was delicious
Food was excellent as always. Best mussels and great pizza. Nicky T belongs in a top notch restaurant in Center City Philadelphia or Passyunk Ave. This is a hidden gem in S Jersey.
The mussels are to die for! They're quite spicy, so be careful if that's not your thing. But to me, they're the best I've had anywhere, and it's the dish I keep coming back for. This is a great neighborhood find!
Good food. No frills.
Very cozy restaurant. Only downfall is the very limited menu options. The food was very good just wished they had more of a variety.
This is a neighborhood gem! Food is always delicious and service is great. This is our go to place, and I would definitely recommend it to a friend!
How do you charge for bread
Hidden gem. Menu may not be as extensive as other places but each dish is prepared with attention to detail and tastes great. Specials are always good. They use quality ingredients and it shows. Great BYOB.
The food and service both excellent. The restaurant was small and the ambience was lacking with seating and tables looking a bit shabby. The wait staff could have dress a bit better than blue jeans for New Years Eve. Again, the food was amazing, and although it’s most important, sprucing up the place even a little would much enhance the overall experience.
New Years dinner :-)
La Polpetta is a small very casual place and has great food and service. The lobster bisque special and the short ribs were outstanding. The place could use a little upgrades, especially by replacing the metal chairs and some new tables perhaps, but the food and service are so worth giving this place a try.
Food was good. For the prices they charge, a small salad or bread should have been included and appreciated. Unfortunately, this will be the last time we eat at La Polpetta.
I always enjoy LaPolpetta.... I had the lobster bisque & Salmon.... the bisque was amazing...Salmon was good, however, a little overdone and with tomato sauce on it.
Probably not order that again.
Always so good! 😋
Everything was terrific from start to finish. Our appetizers and entrees were terrific and large portions as well. We will not hesitate to return.
The crab Basque and we had the Short Rims were excellent. We had a great time
Everything was delicious, loved everything about it. Definitely will go back
We were a party of 4. We had a 6:30 reservation on Sat night and were seated promptly and not long after we were seated, the server cheerfully greeted us, opened our wine bottle, announced the specials, and gave us 5 minutes to look at the menu. We ordered 2 appetizers-- arancini balls and homemade meatballs. There were 4 arancini balls (rice balls stuffed with meat), very tasty but very small, about a mouthful-- wish they were slightly bigger. The 3 meatballs were old school, very flavorful and a nice size to share amongst the 4 of us. We also ordered grilled bread slices- the bread was very good. For entrees, I ordered the tortelloni with meatballs special-- outstanding and a nice portion such that I was full when I finished the dish. The rest of my group ordered one rigatoni entree and 2 cavatelli entrees. They raved over their meals and took unfinished portions home. For dessert, I had coffee and shared 3 mini cannoli with my wife-- both the coffee and cannoli were unremarkable. The other couple had coffee and tiramisu-- they liked the tiramisu. Our server was very attentive and friendly. Prices are reasonable. Parking lot doesn't have many spaces. Small dining area with tables close together. Overall, a very pleasant dining experience and we will definitely return soon.
What a great find!! Cozy little place with phenomenal food!
Our dinner at LaPolpetta was in one word Strange. Salad was ala crate so I ordered the Italian salad which consist of lettuce, provolone, peppers and a Italian neat. Salad came minus the meat and dressing was from a bottle. We asked for bread and were told the chef said they don’t do bread any longer because people would ask for seconds. It became tooo costly. So, we bought bread. Very good, grilled and sliced with butter. They have a small menu but chose the gnocchi with short rib and chicken parm. Unmemorable to describe meal. Little food, not worth going back.
Excellent food - service was fantastic. Everyone working there was smiling and made us feel welcome
Definitely will return!
Great menu! Many options available. We had the ricotta board with grilled bread, the octopus, mussels the meatballs for appetizers. They were all so good we couldn’t pick a favorite! Then we did the cavatelli with short rib bolognese as a mid course and finished with the salmon and chicken Milanese. And although we could only take a couple of bites at this point, the home made cannoli and tiramisu were absolutely amazing. Definitely will be back.
This place provides excellent food and great service
The chef always prepares distinct Italian dishes with some flare. The salmon was excellent and so was the farfalle pasta with mushrooms & other ingridiants. I will return soon. the food is always at a level worthly of a Top Notch Center City restaurant. he should be cooking in Center City Phila or Passyunk Ave. in Phila and he would be much more appreciated.
Very nice we really enjoyed ourselves
We went to La Polpetta with a group of friends for restaurant week and the food was delicious. We loved all four courses! We would definitely recommend this place to everyone!
Went for restaurant week. Great menu. Portions were a good size except the soup could of used another ladle. Pumpkin ravioli was delicious.
I had reservations at LaPolpetta unaware that it was Restaurant Week. Therefore it was $35.00 for Four Courses. I have been to many restaurants for Restaurant Week and I have to say that this was one of the absolute best. The portions were plentiful and you were given quite a few options to choose from. Everything that my friend and I ordered was delicious. I would critique each dish, but I don't know tha names of them I can only tell you Burrata with roasted Brussel Sprouts Excellent, Meatballs with Ricotta cheese, Pork Saltimbocca Excellent, Short Rib with Risotto and two wonderful desserts. Highly recommend!!!!
First time here during restaurant week. EVERYTHING we had was excellent. We will definitely be returning.
