   First time at this place, the hostess was nice and polite and offered to take our coats and choose our table; our server was nice too but the food was pretty cold. They took the steak back and reheated but it was still not that different but nice enough to add fresh potatoes and the eggs. I initially told the hostess that it was my sister’s birthday and mentioned this to one of the servers but I guess since we changed our minds about dessert nothing was done even if they could have decorated her order of waffles with a little “happy birthday” note that would have been nice. But oh well. As for the flat iron steak, I dont think I made a good choice going with it and I might have to try the good steak on another day and see if it’s any good and hopefully served at a better temperature.

   Incredible time at the restaurant and then at the speakeasy ! The best ever ! Fantastic food and ambience. My parents loved it

   I’m sorry in advance if this review upsets anyone but the food at this place was so so so so so bad it ruined my perfectly sunny Sunday! We went for brunch and this was us celebrating our friend and all through the meal I was just internally cringing for choosing La Plume. I ordered the steak and eggs and it was like eating rubber (difficult to chew and flavourless). My husband ordered the burger and it was unappetising and the patty had a smell to it. And my husband said the drinks were so watered down they very practically virgin. Can’t comment on what my friend ordered but it didn’t look all that great. This was the most underwhelming dining experience I’ve ever had in Toronto and I will never be going there again. I have never regretted spending money on food and this was the first! On the upside our server was very hospitable and the restaurant is set up nicely. However, they placed us in a corner of the dining hall far from natural light which was also a bummer Overall, do not recommend and never going there again

   Brought new family for their first time. They loved it. Excellent service as per usual. Would love to see a nightly special.

   The ambience was so calming and warm! What a great place to catch up with some friends or celebrate. The servers and overall service were amazing! Friendly and attentive staff. I had the beef sliders which I found to be cooked just right however I wished there was more flavour. Overall, I would return but magnet for their dinner menu.

   Good drinks and delicious food but not even a single water refill. We celebrated anniversary and had note while making reservation through OpenTable but weren’t even acknowledged about it. Melanie needs to upgrade her service.

    Georgy’s service was outstanding! She paid attention to our orders and frequently checked on us. The overall ambiance of the restaurant was great for brunch. The service team were amazing, and unified in attending to the needs of the customers. However, the food is nothing out of the ordinary, and I wish the waffle was fluffier, that we didn’t have to struggle to cut into it, and honestly it was too dry. Will I visit again? Probably, for the service and to try something else on the menu and see if it was just a bad kitchen day.
