Enjoy our seasonal selection just steps away from our expert pasta chefs and dough-slinging pizzaioli (pizza makers). Our traditional but innovative dishes feature both fresh pasta made daily in-house and air-dried, bronze-extruded pasta from Campania, Italy, and traditional Neapolitan pizza, from the experts at Rossopomodoro, a Napoli-based pizza company.

We ordered kids pizza, frutti di mare, and ravioli all’s roma, kids pizza is a bit saggy because too much sauce, spaghetti from frutti di mare is bit hard and not much of seafood from what they charge, ravioli was the only meal that we think is good.

Great service, incredibly fresh entrees, bread was fantastic, pizza was excellent, salami plate was excellent and Cesar kale salad was awesome. Pasta was fresh but sauces were a bit flat.

You’re better off eating at la terra or the food court on the first floor. The pasta can be bought at the market. Service is also slow, and they only pour water a quarter full. This place sucks.

It was okay, not sure if worth the pricey dishes. We had prosciutto and burrata appetizer which was very good ($22 though) but pasta dishes were so-so (pesto pasta and cappio e Pepe were not bad but definitely simple, the pasta with clams was fresh but bland). Ambience and staff were really nice; the manager (I think) took my wine order and had me taste first and poured extra. It was good to try but better Italian somewhere else.

The inability and refusal of host to move two tables together directly adjacent to each other was a very silly policy. Our family was told we could not sit together without speaking to the event planner, and that they were not allowed to move tables together. Service was somewhat rude, poor and inhospitable.

My partner and I made a reservation at La Pizza & La Pasta for a casual lunch on a Friday. It was very easy to get a reservation and the restaurant seemed about 85% full when we were there. We loved the minimalistic aesthetic and all of the wood and smooth, curved lines in the furniture. It was a surprisingly soothing ambience for a busy restaurant. Our server, Sandy, was professional and friendly and (like at Terra) recommended we do family style because the serving sizes were large. We decided to follow her suggestion and share, but the serving sizes were not any larger than normal so ordering personal entrees is more than doable. We ordered the burrata and prosciutto, cacio e pepe, and Margherita pizza. Everything was great, but the cacio e pepe was absolutely delicious! Perfectly cheesy and peppery with perfectly cooked pasta. We opted not to get drinks or dessert so our bill was a very affordable ~$60. I would definitely recommend La Pizza & La Pasta for a more casual, but still sophisticated, meal.

Having read the online reviews, I was dreading this experience but also hoping they might have shaken off the early troubles and risen to the level one expects from Eataly. Sadly, my hopes were dashed. On a Thu night, the place was quite full. We had a reservation so were seated quickly, but the servers were so busy, a couple bumped into us on the way to the table! Here are the things that went bad for us: 1) Service was terrible: Our server, Elizabeth, seemed unhappy to be there and had an unsmiling, heavy attitude all through. Even though we told her, it is our first time here, she made no recommendations and repeated a script by rote. She never stopped by or asked once how we liked the food (we didn't) and was slow in wrapping things up. 2) Pasta was terrible (cacio e pepe, vesuvio pesto, spinach ravioli): Too al dente, too little sauce, no garnishes or additives, no option to add anything, including meat. Ravioli was floating in butter but did not taste of anything at all! Hard to believe we were paying even $20 for such garbage - just under dry, undercooked, bland carbs! Since our server never returned, we could not give feedback or ask for extra sauce. 3) They were out of the only cabernet on the menu (unforgivable in California!) and pushed us to a more expensive one. 4) We were game to gelato but they only serve that in the downstairs shop, not here. The only saving grace was the pizza (capricciosa) which felt authentic, though a bit soggy for my taste. Calamari was acceptable, though they gave very little and very salty sauce with it. Given the combination of bad food and bad service, we will likely never return here, their other restaurant or sadly, any other Eataly either...

The waiter was extremely rude and was talking down to us as if we did not speak English. It was hard to get his attention and when we did he made up silly excuses like , he has to go next-door to get us ice for our drinks? Portions of food was very small for the price, taste was good but overall too expensive. Not worth the money.

We had opening time reservation, and were quickly seated. The noise level grew to make conversation difficult as the restaurant filled. Our waitress wasn't really helpful in describing entrees. I ordered the cacio e pepe pasta. It was so salty I had to send it back and ordered a margarita pizza instead. The staff was polite and took care of the matter by blaming the saltiness on the cheese. The pizza was soft crusted as described. The caprese salad was surprising; large heirloom tomatoes quartered with a few slices of fresh mozzarella and one small basal leaf. No seasoning or or dressing. Maybe this is how they serve the salad in Italy.

It felt more like we were shoved in a corner whereas everyone else was being catered to very well. We’re set to visit again to try out the pasta options! Keep you posted how that goes. 😊

None in our group was impressed with their meal. It was not tasty, very bland. We had to ask for pepper, which came on a dish and not freshly ground. No parmesan was offered. We were told that it is authentically Italian but we've been to Italy a few times and the food there is delicious. Very disappointed. The iced tea was the highlight and it was $9 for a small bottle.

The food is below average, A BIG HYPE!!! I've been to the Eataly in Chicago where the food was very very different and good, not sure why the bay area food is such a dissapointment. I was really looking forward to Eataly in the bay area, the food was below average I ordered the lemoncello cocktail and it was so watery!!! so sad!!

We ordered two pizzas and two pasta dishes. Pizza Margherita is good but skimpy on the basil leaves. There was just one small stem with a few leaves in the center. So if you like basil, add more as an ‘extra.’ The Salumiere Pizza was the best as it contained sausage, spicy salami & prosciutto cotto, plus we ‘added’ mushrooms. This was delicious! The sauce and mozzarella tasted fresh. The crust is thin (but not cracker thin), soft and slightly chewy—perfecto! Linguine alle Vongole (clams) was also very good…the freshly made pasta tastes SO much better most other restaurants. Finally, the Pappardelle with Mushroom Ragu, although a bit dry for my taste, had a great earthy richness. Next time I will ask for a little pasta water added, just to loosen it up a bit. This is my third trip to Eataly, so I could try out the different restaurants and specialty counters throughout this gigantic establishment. The Pastry Shop & Gelato Counter are a MUST STOP!! All in all—a visit (or three) to ‘Eataly’ is a must do. Reminder: As with any new restaurant there are new employees and you may run into a hiccup. Mine were minor and addressed immediately.

We had two tables of six each (two reservations sine 7 is their max) and while I didn't expect them to put our tables next to each other, we arrived early and I put in the request which they were able to accommodate. It's a young staff and they're doing a good job, likely great with a little more time. The menu choices were excellent and the food very good. Everyone was happy. The wine list is a little pricey yet we unfortunately see this more and more these days.

Always order the pizza. It is what they are known for. The pasta is overpriced and not as exciting. The pizza-any of them are the best. Draft Peroni beer is the best beer for the money. I ordered sparkling water and it was $7-same as Peroni. The desserts were excellent and fun. The best for the money. was the cream puffs. They came to us with a candle for one of our guests. Our waitress, Amanda was wonderful and attentive. Our whole experience for a birthday celebration was wonderful. We will go back and order pizza and Peroni again..and cream puffs.

We were very excited to try Eatly given we're away from home and missing our grandmother's delicious pasta dinners (she's off the boat from Italy)... but ended up pretty disappointed in La Pizza and La Pasta. Service was poor; I felt bad for our server who seemed new...he definitely was overwhelmed by all of his tables. It took awhile for us to get our drinks and we did not get offered fresh parmesan for the pasta (I ended up having to ask). We were also stuck in the corner at a table for two and felt like we were right on top of the guests seated next to us. The menu is also WAY overpriced...one small piece of lasagna that was finished in 5 bites cost $22 (I could make a whole dish for that price). Aranchini for appetizer was also small and tasted like it came from the freezer. Maybe we just caught the restaurant still in its early phase. It's a shame because it has potential and a decent ambiance (though the two tops at the front could use to be a little more separated)!

We were seated next to the entrance with a vent blowing very cold air onto one of us. We asked to be moved and were told there were no other tables, yet we could clearly see at least two 2 tops that were empty. So we opted to try the bar where a surly bartender said "I'm busy, I'll be with you soon".. and then went to make a dozen or so drinks, never once acknowledging us again. So we went back to the front and asked again to be seated in one of the other open tables and were finally acoomodated. Then it took another 10 minutes for anyone to even say hello to us. Once we got a waiter, he was very friendly and responsive. The arugula salad was outstanding as were the mushroom and pepe past dishes. However the overall experience was second or third class at best. We will just do take out from the Roman pizza place on the first floor.

I read the reviews on here and have to disagree as far as the service, we had very good service. The food was OK, but I expected better I had higher expectations. For the price it just didn’t seem to match the quality/taste. I will say Eataly is a very cool experience, although the Vegas venue is far superior. Next time I think I will save my money and just have a slice of pizza downstairs though.

We been looking forward to dine here and was able to get a reservation during non peak hours to celebrate our good friends’s belated birthday. We asked our waiter’s for recommendations and here is what we ordered: 1) Prosciutto with Burrata cheese 2) lasagna 3) spaghetti 4) Bolognese pastas 5) Margherita pizza 6) calamari Nothing special about these dishes and taste is just ok. Potion size are extremely small for the price. The service was not great and our waiter wentMIA after taking our order. While he was taking our order, he paused and checked his watch, I guess he is counting down the minutes to be off and that could be the reason he went disappeared after taking our order. We have to ask other staffs for water refill. I would not come back unless the food is complementary. Sadly huge disappointment. You are better off getting Italian good at Olive Garden!
