La Pizza & La Pasta - Eataly NYC Flatiron
La Pizza & La Pasta features two of the best-loved Italian dishes: Napoli-style pizza from the master pizzaioli of Rossopomodoro and al dente pasta directly from Gragnano, Campania. If you are looking for a place where to celebrate family (did we say kids’ menu?) and quality time with your squad this is the right place to be!

I was seated for 10 minutes and no one came by. Then another person sat down and was served instantly. When I looked at the server, he said he would be right back. This is the third time I’ve been to this restaurant and experienced poor service. The food is good ( but not consistently) and the wine is overpriced. Based on my prior experiences here, I had no faith that the server would return - particularly when he could have just taken my order. This was the final straw. I left and will not be returning here.
I love eataly. Always great food. One of my favorites in New York
Fun place to visit, and more importantly, you can shop for days there - that's the best of all.
Lamentablemente de los 5 solo llegamos 3: los otros 2 comensales fueron a otra sucursal de Eataly. No obstante, todo estuvo muy bien
I had a lovely evening there! Thank you! Would certainly recommend this restaurant to friends and family and will definitely be back!
Excellent place! We got 10 kids for my daughters party and very easy for them to handle it! Thanks!
Horrible food. Worst pizza I have ever had. No flavor. Dominos does better pizza than this place.
Excellent service and fast !
Let me start by saying this: the food was excellent. My boyfriend and I went there for a Tuesday night dinner, and we had reservations. We arrived early, and they offered to seat us immediately, which I appreciated.
We're sitting down, and we're getting comfortable. Then a group of women comes and sits next to us. The waiter comes and greets them, then immediately hands them the specials for this evening. He didn't do that with us, or the table next to us. After ten minutes, he remembers that we don't have specials cards, and comes and gives them to us without even so much as an apology for the mishap.
But, hey, it's rush hour, he's probably busy.
So we make our order, and we're both having their signature dish. Great, wonderful. Five minutes rolls around, and he hands us a bag of cold bread. Now, I've eaten at several Italian restaurants, and the bread should not be cold. Room temperature at the very least, but not cold. That being said, however, it was delicious. So we're waiting for olive oil, because we figured that we would get olive oil to dip the bread into. Nope. We never received it. The table full of young single women, however, received their olive oil from the waiter, and he even got the salt grinder to salt their oil. That left a really bad taste in my mouth.
So we get our meals, and for $12, it's not bad. I've had more food for less, but the ingredients at this location are of a much higher standard. I really liked it. My boyfriend liked it, too.
So to sum it up, the food was great...but the service was abysmal. This seems like the place where they only care about you if you're spending gobwads of money. I don't need that. I can go to Ortobello's in Bensonhurst for amazing food with MUCH better service.
Always great! Kid friendly and nice staff.
Just make a reservation in advance!
The market and setup of the place is amazing. The service, food (that we had), and menu do not live up to the place. Will try a different part of it next time, maybe.
Although tables were close to one another. It was not loud. Service was excellent. We had the bucatini and Parpadelle. The eggplant appetizer was good but smaller than I thought.
Delicious pasta and pizza’s, a true Italian gem in the middle of the city.
Wonderful experience for our party of 4! The food is excellent.
I have been here many times before. Place is usually consistently amazing. Maitre'd was rude. Asked her how long till the table was ready. No reaction just kept looking at her screen. Asked again, and again no reaction. Asked a third time and she finally snaps at me and tells me she heard me. Well a little acknowledgement would go a long way! We were seated upstairs. These seats should not exist. You are above the vents from the kitchen below, and you can smell it. What a terrible place to squeeze in a few extra seats. One of the dishes ordered was Cacio e pepe. Supposed to be served with Spaghetti, served with overcooked Bucatini. Only one waiter upstairs, took 20 minuets to take our order. I can go on!
Overall, I used to rave about Eataly. Now will think twice.
Sadly a friend made a reservation here for lunch today. Hopefully will have a better experience. Might be my last.
Very lively and great environment. Pizza is great and worth the price for sure. Good wine and not too expensive. PErfect after-work spot!!
Definitely a must visit if you are coming to New York! We travelled from Sydney, Australia, and were on the hunt for some good pizza in NY and found this absolute gem! Definitely reserve a table though as there is a long wait otherwise.
The service was amazing, and the servers knew a lot about the menu and which wines would go well with our choices.
We ordered a pizza, pasta and a salad, and could not fault a single thing, other than that we finished it too quickly! What I loved is that their menu isn’t super fancy, it’s just simply done with fresh ingredients. Ordered the Quattro Formaggi pizza which was amazing and the Mushroom Parpadelle which had one of the nicest fresh pasta that I have ever tasted. Recommend the tiramisu to finish.
We liked this place so much so that we even visited twice.
Excellent meal, waiter was outstanding. Open Table said we did not show but we did in fact make our reservation.
This is a hidden gem in NYC. You walk all the way to the back of Eataly and you can have the freshest pasta and most amazing brick oven pizza - feel like you’ve taken a trip to Italy for lunch - and all for a reasonable price. There’s nothing like it!
I loved the atmosphere of the entire experience of Eataly. Tons of energy, excitement and quality foods.
The restaurant was very loud and crowded. We were totally squashed besides the other guests with minimal space to get by to even go to the washroom. It was too loud to even hava a conversation. The lights were also on full bright. Overall too cafeteria like atmosphere
As always, all of the eataly restaurants are delicious and have a great atmosphere. I did notice service was not as attentive as the rooftop restaurant SERRA, but not by much, overall great experience!
Went for my friend's 21st birthday. INCREDIBLE food, as good as Italy! We all can't wait to come back as soon as possible :)
Eatily is a great concept. People can shop for many different foods, buy prepared foods, drink wine, have a sit-down dinner, etc. We found the service a bit slow; however, the restaurant was packed.
Terrible service and nasty hosts! I scheduled a reservation well in advance but was forced to wait well over my scheduled time. Once I was seated for five minutes without meeting the waiter I was told by a server that I had to move tables since my reservation was only for two. Once I was finally moved to the correct table it took forever to actually get waiter to notice me.
Fresh, delicious and tasty. Fun meal enjoyed by all.
Go for the seasonal pastas and pizzas! We loved this restaurant so much we ate here two nights in a row. The place is very busy even on week nights, so expect a wait even with a reservation. The service staff was a bit slow, but understandibly so because the staff and kitchen were slammed. If you are in a rush, this is not the place to go. But if you want some amazing pasta and some time to browse Eataly with a nice glass of wine, go! It is a great place for a date night.
Really enjoyed food there. love all the food we ordered ;) Expesially I loved pizza most!!
Dough was so good
Food is good, great wine. Disorganized check in
It was a great experience for a quick NYC-paced lunch that ended up lasting a little longer because of the great and attentive staff. The somm came over to describe the house wines and we were blown away at how good they were. We ended up getting a dessert and an extra carafe because we simply didn't want to leave.
Seated upstairs, next to concretely pillar, no view. Waitress that served in that part of restaurant was very nice, and friendly.
Probably one of the best pasta dishes we've ever had. Wine selection was excellent. Server was excellent. Ladies at the front desk a bit grumpy.
You have to be in the mind set for a bustling atmosphere but the food and service is excellent.Great place for a fun night out!
Italian food is always at the top. Improve variety with other choices
Love the new table and chairs make it feel more like dining. Food was good but having been coming since day 1 I feel food has slipped a little
I loved the place. It has a very relaxed vibe. A great place to meet friends and family. The food was really good. I would definitely go back to try out other dishes.
Amazing food Centre. Excellent quality pasta with good service and value. Highly recommend
The hostess were totally rude. They just wanted to get you out of the way because there was a huge line waiting. You con get a much better meal in a nicer place for less.
Good location in NYC, excellent quality of the food, Italian food is the best in the world
