This is my daughter's favorite place in NYC. We have been here a lot and the food and service have always been exceptional. We were very impressed with the way they are handling the COVID-19 Pandemic. As you check-in, your temperature is taken, you are asked to fill out a contact tracing form, and best of all there are very sturdy separation barriers in place. We felt safe.
Great experience as usual - Jay was a fantastic server!
Food was alright. We ordered pasta and it was alright for the price. The pizza was really good. The restaurant is not very Covid friendly
Great food, perfect Neapolitan style pizza, this is one of the few authentic Italian restaurant. They are offering both southern and norther Italian recipes. Great wine too.
Meh. Tried to order penne for kids but they “didn’t have it.” The place is filled with pasta boxes, seemed a bit strange. Fairly empty, took almost 1 hour to serve main dish. Subpar service whether is covid or not. Disappointed.
The people at the restaurant are friendly and quick. The menu was pretty versatile too so there was a good selection to choose from. I will say that the pasta isn’t 5 stars or anything, but especially during these times I’d say it’s a safe and great way to get out of the quarantine life for a moment and eat some pizza and pasta :)
Amazing service, delicious food, and a great atmosphere.
Eataly has dropped in quality and definitely a tourist trap now. Food was like warm, took almost 30 minutes for an order fire, no guest experience, it was simply cold. You would think it would get better every year but it’s actually not. Save your money. Try Ribalta in Union Sqaure.
I feel like visited an improved version of La Pizza & La Pasta at Eataly. The spot isn't just about pasta and pizza anymore, you can get a salad and even dessert. Current capacity and social distance measures makes this place a lot more pleasant than before...love it
Good setting and environment.
Awesome food, wonderful service, great wine and amazing place.
Good food, very quick- nice portions! Waiter was attentive and hostess was very personable
I always love dining at La Pizza & La Pasta! All of the dishes (especially the pastas) are excellent and such a great value!
Food was delicious. There was a minor mix up on our reservation, but the hostess handled it like a champ! She was terrific. We will definitely return.
Hostess was terrible. We were seated in a hallway upstairs and the access was through a service area to the staircase. I had a reservation, made 3 weeks ago and the table location was undesirable. Will not go back.
Unfortunate long wait, walk-ins seated before and after our reservation. 30 min wait after our reservation!
Everything was good but the hostesses were the most rude and condescending people I have ever met. They should take some courses on hospitality bf they take that position. Will never go back to that restaurant again.
We got seated 40 minutes after our reservation.
Very crowded and food was just ok. The place is cool but if you want great italian, this just isn’t it.
Great pizza - reminder you are eating inside a bustling retail store
It was wonderful Italian food
I’ll never forgive them for making a marketing extraveganza around their new tomato sauce that is so much worse than the old one. BUT this is still one of my favorite casual italian places in manhattan
Very good food, a bit of a wait even though we were timely for our reservation, efficient service, though a bit abrupt when our server brought the check.
Food was awesome!! Elena our server was very attentive. Love walking around in Eataly.
I had a pizza margherita, that is the best in town neapolitan style, great dough, perfectly cooked, tomato sauce that has nothing to envy to the one we have in Italy, real bufala mozzarella and fresh basil: a margherita without basil it is not a margherita. Service was fast and professional. We were sitting upstairs, the ambiance is not great but it is a tranquil place. The biers were excellent! Well done!
Wonderful seating service. Came there earlier than my resevation and they were able to accommodate me within the minute! Food is always beautiful!
Hostess was awful, made us wait for 20 minutes even though our table was ready. The service is terrible - took our waiter forever to take our order, then it turned out he never put it in with the kitchen. The restaurant wasn’t even full or that busy! The food is excellent so hopefully this was an off day. Overall pretty disappointing though.
Food so good! Hostess’s seem a little overwhelmed and messy appearance.
Soooo tasty. Haven’t had Italian food so authentic, except in Italy. It was a little noisy, but we sat upstairs and it was quieter
Food was really great! the whole place is open so it's a little loud but overall had a great time and would definitely go back!
First time at here for a birthday, food all cane out at once which was fine. Delicious house red!
Seated upstairs in what wasn’t much better than storage space despite having a reservation! Food came late. One entree 25 minutes before the other. Glass of wine came midway through the dinner. Understaffed?
I thought the food was very good but thought the menu was "too structured." I wanted to get the spinach ravioli with tomato sauce but was told the tomato sauce had to be on the side.
Great experience! Very busy and on the go! Expected a tad bit more pasta options ( such as ravioli or tortolini)
Nice Italien restaurant. Very authentic, very good food and prices are also ok. Next time in NYC, that will be the place to be!
Had a good meal but have to say that the appetizer portions are ridiculous. Ordered ricotta and fig crostini and one small piece arrived! Cauliflower appetizer was also small but very good. Margherita pizza, Cacio and pepe pasta and the fungi pasta were excellent.
Fun night out in NYC! We brought some first-timers to Eataly and had a BLAST. Great waitstaff had as much fun with our table/s as we had with them. Delicious food (duh), fun atmosphere, great value!
We’ve eaten here dozens of times. Service was the usual slow frantic search for a waiter. The salads pasta and lasagna were excellent as always. But the bread was ice cold and stale. Pointed out to the waiter that the bread is baked twenty feet away from our table. He sent the manager over with another basket of stale bread. What’s up with that Eataly????
If you like Italian food (who doesn't?), then you will love Eataly! There is a reason why they have expanded to locations around the country. And if you are reading this, you are a step ahead of the pack and making a reservation. The pizzas are great! My 6 yr old niece who is the pickiest eater loved it so much she nearly ate a whole pie on her own!! The pastas are fresh and the wines are some of the by the glass values in the city. and don't forget to stop by the cannoli stand on your way out!
Delicious pastas and wine. My 13 year old niece was very pleased with the whole experience.
