   One of the worst experiences I've ever had on this site. The waiter was not only in a bad mood, but also he did not make the slightest effort to provide basic service. Anyone has a bad day, but that's what breaks are for. I recommend the site because everything is an experience of color and flavor; In addition, a bad experience with a bad waiter would not have to affect the entire complex.

    To make a reservation on the opentable is completely useless because when we got there for our reservation the staff at tge entrance, very rude ones, told us that the table was still occupied and they can not force people to leave, but there were a lot of free table at that time and the people coming after us without any reservation walked in directly. We waited more than 10 minutes at the entrance, but only us, the people making reservation on opentable. The food and the service inside is ok but the staff at the entrance is very far from being friendly.

    Wonderful food beginning with the bread and olive oil and fresh rosemary to the pasta and pizza. Highly recommend the Quadrati con Ricotta e Spinaci if you’re not in the mood for a pizza, but the pizzas my granddaughter got (margherita) and my husband’s (all meat) were simply delicious. This restaurant is a little hard to find in the very rear of the Eataly complex. Worth booking a table and making your way in for a delicious meal in the Flatiron district.

    Waiter was outstanding - friendly, efficient, attentive, helpful. We requested a quiet spot when making reservation and were seated accordingly, noting that we were dining early to attend an evening function - so quiet was available.

    While I love the food and Eataly, we had a reservation for 9pm and as soon as we arrived they rushed us to order our food “in the next 2 min” as the kitchen was closing. Ruined the whole experience. Why have a 9pm slot if you are closing? The employees were nice so it’s not on them, but we shouldn't be expected to order, eat and leave within 15 minutes, it’s ridiculous.

    Went for our 3 year anniversary…great food but extremely loud. 8pm on a Sunday and we were barely able to speak the entire meal. The 2 parties on either side of us were so loud and close, all we were able to hear was their conversations and not each other. Unlikely to return. Maybe for takeout.

    Probably one of the best pizzas my wife and I have ever had, even while in Italy. It's a bit expensive, but that's NYC. I retracted 1 star for overall for a couple of reasons. While the other eating locations in this facility are a first come first serve, this area, Pasta & Pizza, needs reservations. Personal annoyance by me perhaps, but the reservation idea is a bit overdone, especially with these types of eateries that are literally walk throughs. I was rudely told I can be put on a waiting list and told to wait about 20-25minutes, even though many empty tables were shown. However, as I stepped away, I pulled up the OpenTable app and made a reservation and walked right back to the podium and got seated. So it was a bit ridiculous. Also, the hosting staff is not pleasant. You're just not felt very welcome by this particular hosting staff. No greeting, nor appreciation by them. But maybe that's just NYC, or maybe just this place. The waiter we hade, Miles, was great however. By all means, go and eat there. The food won't disappoint. Just make sure you make reservations.

    I really wanted to like this place. The food had potential, but out of 4 meals, none of them were anything to write home about. The pizza was very much undercooked, the calzone was soggy, the lasagna had to be returned because it was lukewarm, and the pasta wasn’t cooked enough (almost soggy). The service was very disappointing. They seemed understaffed, and waiters were running around tring to fill requests. That meant that we had no cutlery by the time the food arrived, and no water even after asking for some. The pizza and calzone arrived a good 15 minutes before the pasta, so half of our party was done eating by the time the rest had their food. Most of all, nothing about the meal made us feel like this was a treat. Too bad for all the hype.

    This dinner was a big deal as it was my first time introducing my partner to a good friend. We had a 7:45 reservation but we were seated close to 8? The hostess was trying hard to seat us and she communicated realistic expectations so I appreciated her a lot. On the other hand, our waiter was lukewarm. We didn’t see our waiter and the food was just okay.. there was some cork in the wine but our waiter would not stop by. We asked another server for some help and rather than helping, he insisted that it was not a part of his responsibilities and he just scurried away. It was interesting that our waiter was so attentive to give us the bill and push us out but he just wasn’t around when we needed him The meatballs were great. The spaghetti was good but a little dry but I will say… the spaghetti was cooked perfectly. We also got the ravioli and truffle pasta!

    Gli chef che fanno una carbonara con uovo liquido da Eataly non si può vedere, dove e’ finita la politica del 50% del personale italiano . Ho provato a spiegarmi per loro andava bene così, ripeto pasta non mangiabile

    The service was extremely poor and unpleasant. The server acted like we were an inconvenience. The pizza was soggy and lacked taste. However, the wine was good and it helped to get us through this horrible dining experience. Note: the Chicago Eataly is 1000 percent better with excellent food and service- its my favorite. What happened to New York?

    The hostess could not have been ruder. We waited a good 6 to 7 minutes before someone even noticed us sitting at our table to have water brought by. The pizzas were excellent but very very thin like paper thin
