La Pizza & La Pasta - Eataly NYC Downtown
Eataly has teamed up with the experts at Rossopomodoro, a Napoli-based pizza company, to bring you Neapolitan pizza made according to generations-old techniques. Creamy mozzarella, charred yet elastic crust, sweet San Marzano tomatoes, and fresh seasonal toppings make for a pizza so delicious you will be singing along with our vibrant Neapolitan pizzaioli.
To create our traditional but innovative dishes, our chefs cook with both fresh and dry pasta. Our fresh pasta is made daily by our experts at the fresh pasta counter; we source our classic dried shapes from Gragnano, a hilltop town near Napoli. Regardless, our pasta is always al dente, just like in Italy, balanced with fresh, seasonal ingredients and regional Italian sauces.
Always tasty and fresh, and the atmosphere at Eataly NYC WTC is terrific.
Love it and the food was so delicious
Don’t waste your time go to Vapiano’s or some other place.
The only complaint I have is that the pasta was undercooked, so I was disappointed after I heard so many good things about it.
My friend and I arrived a little early for our lunch reservation, which was slated for 12:30. We both ordered the 2-course special, including a pasta and ravioli. I ordered a drink. Our appetizers came, but not my drink. I reminded the waiter, who admitted he forgot, and said it would be on the house. I appreciated that. However, the couple who were seated 5-10 minutes after us got their pizza and ravioli 10 minutes before us, which was annoying. We didn't complain. I think our waiter was inattentive in making sure our meal went smoothly.
Very fun place. We had a corner table for 8 for lunch and the view was fabulous! Great waiter and really
good food. Very crowded, so glad we had made a reservation a few days before.
Food was outstanding! It was very busy, so service was a little slow. Overall, loved it!
We arrived for our reservation and there was an hour long wait to even check in for the reservation. I had this reservation made for 4 months... it was impossible to speak to the hostess. I walked out and I received an email that said thank you for dining with us... clearly our table had been given to someone else. I called several times to try to avoid the line and was sent straight to voicemail.
Our waitress was phenomenal! We really loved her and she was super helpful! The food is great, they make a gluten free pasta / pizza dough - we enjoyed all our meals!
Only complaint is they have a reservation line and a non-reservation line... the hostesses were not even asking those who made reservations our names/seating us first - they were seating people who didn't have reservations which was ridiculous - we stood in front of them for 5min before I had to say something.
Initial service was iffy. I made a reservation for a specific time, arrived a few minutes early, checked in and was asked by a different host why I was waiting around. I explained that I had already checked in for that specific time and was told to wait in that specific area to be seated. I had to check in again to receive information that was already communicated and was asked to move. It's definitely a bit weird that I was singled out when I was just following instructions. The hosts need to communicate with each other to make things go much smoother, especially on busy nights. Once seated, I noticed a fork and food on the floor around my table, the plates were heavily smudged and there was a set of silverware missing. Had to ask for clean plates and an extra set of silverware.
Once seated, service was rather smooth. Got clean plates, and the food came in a timely manner. Food was delicious and the staff was great in making sure I got everything I needed. I don't think I would come back here. The one off experience was ok. Maybe other will have a better overall experience than I did.
Very delicious food! Good wine. Great dinner overall
I’m a regular at Eatley...I loved the new set up and furniture, as well as the new pre fix menu.... Also, Michael is an excellent waiter.
We can’t get enough of Eataly as we don’t have one back home. Loved the ambience and view and the food was amazing as usually. Our favorite was the Lasagna.
Bien mais cher
Service was poor. We ordered burratta and they brought regular mozzarella. The waiter did not tend to us at all. We ordered the Quattro formaggi as our pizzas and the pie came out soaked in oil in the middle. The entire middle had a puddle of oils and the slices became soggy because of the excess oil. We ordered a pasta dish with a ragu sauce that was very good.Would go back again with the hopes that we would receive better service and pizza.
I'm an Eatlay fan and this is my favorite of the two in NYC. The atmosphere and the food never disappoint.
Reservations are highly recommended. We did the quick lunch which was a great value and there were multiple selections. The food was delish and the view was beautiful!
Great menu for gluten feee and dairy free
Great experience. Fun too🍅
Good food, good wine, nice atmosphere at a reasonable price for NYC.
The food was outstanding, we always get the low gluten pizza. We love the Salsacoitta pizza. It is one of our favorite Italian restaurants in NYC. Whether you go to the Flatiron location or Downtown you can't go wrong with Eataly!
Good place for a quick lunch. Near my office.
Not sure if I would recommend this resto. The service was very slow and the waiter wasn’t very friendly. It seemed like he wanted us in and out. Food was just mediocre. The restaurant was lovely and overlooked New York City. Don’t waste your money here. Overpriced and service not so great. So looking forward to going but was highly disappointed. Could I get a refund!!!?
Amazing food in a beautiful setting.
Nice view of World Trade Center and memorial
Our waitress, Gena, was amazing!
We got two appetizer to share. Super yummy with great staff.
This is a great place to meet a friend in the WTC area. From the restaurant, you look down at the WTC Memorial and look across to see the Battery Park City buildings/Brookefield Place. The charcuterie plate is amazing here. However, for this visit, we got the argula salad, the spaghetti and the lasagna. The argula salad was very fresh and delicous. The spaghetti was a cheerful bright orange and delicious. The lasagna was mediocre - lukewarm, and dry. I will not order the lasagna again. Service was very good.
Excelente atención por parte de los mozos
La vista es muy linda y agradable lugar
La comida es rica . Podrían ser más abundantes los platos
Very, very good bread + olive oil, radicchio salad, cacio e pepe, linguine with mussels and shrimp in light tomato sauce, and pistachio gelato.
I loved every single second :)
The server was very friendly and the pasta was delicious.
I decided to try this restaurant as I was disappointed by the one in Paris. Unfortunately, it didn't meet my expectations one more time. A bit pricey for what we eat. The location is good.
First time visiting with husband and two teens. We all enjoyed the food. My 15 year old son devoured the lasagna. Delicious gelato and cannolis for dessert. Great view of the One World Trade Center.
Visitors to NYC for a long weekend.
Shopped and ate at Eataly 2x!
Loved the ambiance .....selection of fresh food...smells heavenly when you come up the stairs! The dinners we had were excellent...FRESH ingredients and flavours! Staff were excellent!
Food was superb, with the seasoning and flavors right on the mark. Our server was also knowledgeable with the wine suggestion. As a retired Chef I realize I can be more critical than the average diner, but at this restaurant I find that whatever pasta dish I order, all are always excellent. The pasta is always al dente with the correct sauce for the type of pasta and never swimming in sauce.
Consistently good service and food. The noise is an issue though, but the pizza makes up for it.
39 year reunion with sisters
I recommend the lasagna.................................... is it 50 characters yet?
Late lunch 2pm on a Monday after a full morning. Promptly seated, good service, and the food was fresh, correct temperature for the dish, and delivered promptly. Value-wise, I think the prices are a little high but the location drives the market. I would return.
