Eataly’s main indoor restaurant has widely spaced tables, taking more space on the floor than they used to have, and the view overlooking the 9/11 Memorial Park is more accessible than ever. Congrats to the restaurant management for how they’ve reimagined the place!
Today I went to the restaurant and I ordered pizza. When the pizza came out and I was eating it, I found a piece of hair in it. So I called the sever named Patricia S and I reported the problem. However she did not apologize. I was not satisfied and I asked for the check. And before I even left, the server tried to take check from me. She was very rude. I will not be going again. And also be cautious of any piece of hair in your food.
We love coming to Eataly. The food is always delicious and I recommend it to all my friends.
The Flatiron location is definitely better. This place seemed under-staffed - it took awhile to flag any waitstaff down to order or ask for condiments.
Pizza was great. Cacio e pepe was mediocre. Pappardelle al funghi was the worst pasta dish I've had in over 9 years of dining in NYC.
Would definitely eat here again, food was delicious and staff was very nice.
Amazing experience, service was top notch, quiet, food was so amazing and you could tell it was quality ingredients used. Definitely will be visiting again 😍
Excellent and accomodating service with well-spaced outdoor dining options.
Great as always. Amazing authentic food with high quality ingredients. Service was great as well and they got us a complimentary mini tiramisu for a b-day we were celebrating. Will always come back whenever I am in NYC.
Great pizza. Excellent service.
The ambiance was great. We sat by the floor to ceiling windows so the view was outstanding. Our server Michael was knowledgeable, pleasant, and friendly. Only huge turn off was the fact that they had no tomatoes so I could not order the Caprese which was something I was looking forward to. Also it was a bit overpriced but overall a great experience.
So very disappointed in our visit to La Pizza La Pasta this trip. We always make it a point to eat here on most trips to NYC. The service was not very attentive. We asked for more water and olive oil and it took a very long time for our server to return. My daughter ordered the kids bunny shaped pizza. It was beautifully shaped....but RAW! We let out server know. She quickly took my daughter's plate said she would tell her manager. She never returned until we flagged her down for our check. She quickly said she took off her pizza and tossed the bill to us. I ordered the gluten free pizza margarita rustics....which sounded delicious from the menu description, but was flavorLESS! AND UNDER COOKED as well. So very disappointed in our visit.
Great food and service
Great experience at La Pizza & La Pasta!! Staff was very attentive and the food was fantastic. Very family oriented and overall great ambiance!! Definitely coming here again!
One of my favorite spots. Consistently delicious food with beautiful views. Service is hit or miss- doesn’t deter me because it’s expected. This Saturday she was particularly flighty though. Anyways, we order the same things every time. Massese pizza, caccio y pepe and the seafood pasta. Always ask for the pizza well done .. I’d say every 3rd visit it’s actually well done. Most of the time it’s goopy in the middle, but the taste is still there so I eat it. I’ve tried sending it back a few times, just turns into a debacle. (Takes forever to come back out or they say they can’t do it well done which is strange because it’s been well done before) Give it a go, you’ll enjoy.
Quick seating, quick service, always great food.
Our party of 3 Loved it!
There were great views from our table of the WTC complex. Can’t wait to go again.
I don’t usually write any reviews but thought I would share these. We were a table of 11 co-workers having a meal. The service was terrible, we were left all the time with empty glasses, our server ignored our table, was so slow serving drinks that we were finished sone before others for the table came.
We also had food delivered at different times and some of us had finished mains before other had even arrived.
We had to ask multiple times for orders and we waited for ages every time. The food was great but ruined by poor service
We always love Eataly but this was first time at Downtown. What a wonderful place.
Excellent food, service and value. Highly recommend
Pizza is good, but the beet antipasti was poor. Beets were tasteless, our suspicion is they were out of a can.
The Parmesan in the arugula salad was surprisingly tasteless (the Parmesan I buy at Eataly is fine). The dressing for the salad was not particularly good.
So: nice setting, mediocre food.
The whole Eataly experience was awesome! We loved the pizza, at La Pizza & La Pasta, my daughter said it was just like in Italy! The wait staff was very busy though, they did their best. We would definitely return!
The gf pizza is the only pizza I will ever eat again. Hands down. I travel to EATALY simply for the pizza. Amen.
Excellent food as always
Very unique experience walking through markets to get to restaurant. Fresh food and good service we had a beautiful view of WTC buildings.
The charcuterie and cheese platter were excellent. Home-made pasta was very good as well.
Service was a bit lackluster; it was hard to get the waiter's attention.
Great environment! Host was very attentive to take us to our table. Food was amazing. Pizza tasted so good. Wine recommendation perfect to combine with food!
Although we frequent the Eataly in Flatiron district we found this location to be equally pleasing in terms of food and ambiance. We usually reserve around 2:30pm on a weekday for better ambiance - enough to have a nice quiet conversation and good food with family and friends.
For those friends visiting, would suggest Table 411 by the window. You can get a photo of the Freedom Tower, the memorial and Brookfield Place across the plaza.
If you truly love your desserts, would suggest you skip the restaurant and head to the section specifically for Lavazza espresso, gelato and fresh pastries.
Never been to Downtown Eataly. Prefer Flatiron. Pizza was a bit undercooked for my liking but still enjoyed. Eataly remains one of my favourite places and highly recommend. It’s all relative.
Good quick place to eat for lunch between casual and formal. Food was fine. Service is average. Menu is limited.
We’re locals and dine here often. The one thing I’d like to state is that the team is always under staffed. We always notice that there are empty tables that have t been bussed/Cleaned and everyone is running around. Food is always good and the servers are great, but they are always super busy!
It’s a little expensive, but so good. I highly recommend.
The food here is simple but amazingly delicious. I've been here a few times for lunch or dinner and have never been disappointed with the food quality. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the view from the large windows is beautiful. Normally, the service is very good, but during this particularly visit, our server Patricia was cold and rude for no apparent reason. I'll definitely be visiting La Pizza & La Pasta in the future, but will be sure to ask for anyone but Patricia.
So everything is pre-made. You can’t make changes to my dish which was a bit frustrating thus if you have any allergies or a special diet I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant. The positives are that the five you bread before your entree, the house wine is great, and the cheese and meat plate is very good and affordable.
For starters Ruy our waiter was incredibly amazing attentive to detail to all of his guests. So charming! And friendly truly made a good meal even better! Thank you Ruy! La pizza la Pasta is one of our favorite places in NYC!
I had a wonderful dinner. I was not rushed and had 3 amazing courses. I love Eataly!
Friendly and professional service. Great pizza. Can’t wait to return to try the pastas.
La Pizza La Pasta was a fun and romantic experience with a great view. The pizza was delicious and reminded us very much of pizza in Naples. The service was also first rate and they were very accommodating to gluten free requests for one person in our party.
I can't eat many cheeses because they are not vegetarian. The waiter would not let me substitute a cheese-filled pasta for one I could eat because it is a "corporate restaurant" and they don't allow that. Seems ridiculous in a restaurant/market overflowing with pasta that they can't accommodate such a simple request. This left me with one spaghetti option, which was lackluster at best. Disappointing.
