As someone who has dined at Eataly many times, I’m genuinely disappointed to say that my most recent visit was by far the worst – and if it had been my first, I wouldn’t have returned.
We were a party of seven and had ordered both appetizers and main courses. The waiter initially repeated our order back, which seemed promising. But ten minutes later, he returned to inform us that one guest’s calzone would arrive at a different time. Fair enough. What followed, however, was a confusing and disjointed experience: the calzone arrived before the appetizers, with the rest of the mains coming nearly ten minutes later. When we inquired about the appetizers, the waiter simply said, “Sorry, I forgot to order them. Do you want them?” A frustrating question given that we had, in fact, ordered them.
When the starters eventually arrived, they were underwhelming – a far cry from the quality I’ve come to expect at Eataly.
To top it all off, the bill was presented with the tip already circled and the server announcing, “Don’t worry, it’s already in there!”—a presumptive move that felt awkward, especially after such a disappointing experience.
What left an especially sour taste was that the manager made an effort to check in with other tables, yet completely ignored ours, despite us being one of the larger groups in the restaurant.
Sadly, this visit has put me off returning to Eataly anytime soon. A shame, as it once was a go-to for me.

I feel the food has really declined there unfortunately. It’s such a great spot but the food is subpar.

Well, I wasn’t told previously that a gratuity was added automatically to my bill. I feel that this should be a choice. I don’t like restaurants that do that if I had known, I would never have come there.
And they charged us for our children’s drink when it was supposed to be with the bill we had to point it out in order for them to take it off our check they should have known not to charge us $30 for drinks that already come with the children’s meal. Although my meal the fettuccine was delicious. My son was not happy with the pizza. The crust was soggy.

We visit about 2 times @ week. This is one of our favs in LA. Tonight saw new dinner menu - not good. We treasure fresh pasta, dishes without tomato sauce and not slathered with cheese. The new menu was awful (high prices and trying to go after fine dining) and written in a tiny font… servers new dress code red aprons & red napkins. We tried a new dish - beef skewers … so rare blood was all over the plates, poor quality beef and no salt or pepper - a disaster.
Lunch is what we will go for … dinner menu is not for us!!!

Wow what a difference 5 months makes. Went in November to Capri, couldn’t wait to come back. Went last night to celebrate our daughter’s birthday. Waitress was horrible. I asked 2 times for our correct bread order and she couldn’t comprehend that we wanted 2 different breads. She kept sending out the same bread. She really lacked in checking in on us and overall service. We won’t rush back and we’ll keep our dining at Eataly when we visit Las Vegas.
