Great experience at La Pizza & La Pasta! Pizza was good and only $10 with the Tuesday deal, and our waiter even covered our wine costs! highly recommend
I enjoyed this casual restaurant. Service was superb. Prices were reasonable. The pasta dishes are excellent. I recommend trying the Lo Spaghetto (classic tomatoey sauce), and the ricotta spinach ravioli. You should consider reserving a table at high traffic times. We ate early (5pm) and there was not wait, but by the time we left there was quite a line.
Everything was delicious!
Not as good as it used to be, pasta was really poor, pasta not cooked well, all stuck together and the sauce was plans and poorly seasoned.
The place is too loud, the food is just ok, the prices too high. I’ve had better experience at a neighborhood pizzeria.
I’m frustrated about the dinner that we’ve had at the restaurant. The place was really noisy. Our waiter was pretty good. The biggest problem was my food. We've ordered bruschetta and it was fine. I've ordered lasagna and it was horrible. The first time, it came cold. Like, I could feel the ice in the ground beef. So, then, the waiter brought it to the kitchen. And it didn't come hot, just warmer than the first time. Maybe we've had high expectations for the restaurant because we watch Lidia’s tv show all the time and we really wanted to try her food. So, I won't be back.
Despite being incredibly crowded and busy, the staff did a great job. The meat platter and lasagna were excellent. Child thought the pizza was slightly spicy. Overall lively atmosphere and fun to be there.
The food was great but it was very noisy. Great service.
The food was delicious. Service was wonderful. Eataly was packed but that is to be expected on a Saturday in December.
On a recent trip to Chicago my mom and I enjoyed a late lunch here. Eataly was jam-packed so I’m glad I had a reservation. We waited a few minutes after checking in and were seated at a table by a window. It was perfect. Our server was quick and efficient. We shared a half bottle of wine and enjoyed pasta. The pasta was cooked perfectly. Will definitely be back!!
The food was wonderful and the staff was very polite and helpful.
Wine and food were excellent. Food arrived fast. I love that they take reservations. Service was good.
That Burrata cheese and pesto pizza is fantastic!! We had such great food and super service last week.
Less noisy and less crowded ambiance. More servers . I had to wait for my bill about 10 minutes because my server had a huge table come in with about 15 people, who she said needed to get in and out to go to a concert.
was perfect. thanks so much
Food quality is excellent as usual.
Service is very good as well.
Reservation process on openTable is fantastic
Appertizer & pizzas came out at same time. Pasta dishes came out 25 mins later. Waitress was apologetic & asked Manager to take one dessert off our bill which he/she did.
Our 1st time at La Pizza & La Pasta at Eataly. Delicious!!!!!!! We're be back VERY Soon!
Great food and service, as per usual
Food took incredibly long. No refills on bread or drinks.
Have been here several times. Really disappointed in the entire experience.
Fantastic pizza and pastas. Just fantastic. Service, however, is spotty and the front desk (hostesses) clueless and with attitude (bad first impression). We ended up having three different servers, luckily the last one was very good so he made up for the inadequacy of the other two.
I’ve been here lots of times but the experience this time around was not the best. Everything seemed very unorganized and chaotic and our server while very friendly was clearly overwhelmed. Bread was cold and water glasses were empty several times throughout the meal. Food was good as always and came out in a timely manner.
I was a bummed when I had to pay close to $50.00 for parking, Come to find out I was on the wrong side of the block and they could not validate my parking .... :(
I have been to Eataly in NYC and loved it.
Had a sandwich in Chicago Eataly and loved it.
Came for pasta and was very disappointed, bland and flavourless. Sauce tasted like plain boiled mushrooms. Service was good and they were very busy. But a plate of pasta at Eataly should be s slam dunk......
Very good food, prices a little high for the amount of food. Fun place and overall nice experience.
Service was great. However the food was nothing special. The pasta while fresh barely had any sauce on it, and the brick oven pizza was very soggy and doughy.
Great as always! I brought two "newbies" and they enjoyed themselves. Thank you.
This was our first time and we were so blown away by all Eataly has to offer! We had a reservation and we were seated within minutes. The food and wine were outstanding and the grocery looked amazing!
Always a fabulous dinner!
Without the Italian waiter (forgot the name) this place would be a mess, his personality saves the whole experience. The people seating you are rude and unprofessional (shake their heads over their colleagues in front of customers, treat you like cattle and make you feel dumb), waiters walk around with food in their hands and don't know who ordered it, second courses come before first courses. This is not the Eataly experience I am used to from other countries.
We arrived and had to wait 20 minutes to be seated even though we had a reservation. We only saw our server only when he took our order and then when my boyfriend had to find the waiter to finally get our check. The food was average and not worth the price nor the wait.
We were visiting Chicago for a conference, so we stopped by Eatly. We made a reservation, and they had some lunch specials. Very reasonable and terrific. The dining room was nice—not too crowded, but the store was mobbed. I’m glad we were able to find a little quiet spot!
The service was outstanding. Janae (not sure how to spell) was our server. She was funny, courteous, attentive and knowledgeable. Take her recommendations. Burrata with pesto appetizer was so delicious. Our table of 9 shared pizzas and pasta and wine. It was such a great experience. I probably wouldn't come back on a weekend as it was a little chaotic for me but I imagine at non peak times it's still very busy. I highly recommend you make a reservation no matter what time or day you plan on stopping in. So many tourists!
Excellent food and service! Staff and management have a great chemistry and formula!
Food and service were perfect. We split a pasta and a pizza and a salad between 2 people. Had left overs to take home.
Server never checked on us. Our reservation time got pushed back and they sat people with later times even though we were a party of two. Food is way over priced and has little to no flavor. $38 for 4 oz of white truffle, you’re out of your mind. Meals tasted like they came from a can.
Your check in staff was VERY rude. I know they were busy but maybe they need to find a job that is more suited to their lack of patience.
We had a reservation for 8 but we’re not seated until 8:30. We were placed in a line of about 50 people after arriving and told to wait even though we had a reservation. I would not use open table again for this restaurant.
Always looking forward to the weekend and eating at my favorite restaurant Eataly!
Amazing food and great service! I visited Chicago for one night only and Eataly was a must on our to-so list. La Pizza & La Pasta was a great choice for our dinner reservations - we loved every bite and the service was absolutely excellent!
