La Pizza & La Pasta - Eataly Boston
We found the food to be substandard and way over priced. Typical tourist trap. Service was non existent. After ordering we never saw waiter until we chased him for the check. Better food and selection in the North End!!!
Food was delicious, but the service left something to be desired. Despite the reservation, we still were not seated on time and the service was not very welcoming from both the host stand and the waiter.
Bit of a feel of a pizza place. Noisy, crowded, rushed. My one big complain is that the portions of the pasta dishes, while good, were minimal for the price. And they have no coffee. Told us to go to another part of their market for that. NO. Should be able to have a coffee at the table before I leave.
I always enjoy my meal here... lunch was delightful...3 different pizza were on order and enjoyed.
Great homemade pasta! Very casual setting with yelling children around, that was the downside.
They refused to do anything special for a birthday.
Restaurants serve average food. Grocery section is great.
Our butternut squash was over seasoned.
Wasn't our first time there. Will not be our last
We had waited a long time to be able to get a reservation at Eataly. While the food was good, there were some things that were lacking. The service was not very attentive. I was told they were "out" of the kind of wine I orginally odered - there were hundreds of bottles of wine right next to where we were - how could this be the case? And surprise several minutes later I was told they had gone and got a bottle from there - very confusing... We ordered a pizza which was not very hot when it arrived and VERY quickly got colder (not sure why this was the case at it came VERY quickly - did not seem like it would have been sitting there etc.). $77 for a small pizza, two glasses of wine and one Ceasar salad seems a little high - even for Boston. There was a private party in the "restaurant" in the next section and the music was quite loud.
Very nice in store restaurant. The food and service was very good. Even through it was a restaurant within a store the noise level was not that bad.
Food and drink is delicious, but can be a little bit pricer. Unique spot for sure!
All was great. Stephanie was her typically cool self and the Caesar salad was slamming.
Omg. I can not wait to come back here to eat! All food was made with simple ingredients. Nothing fancy. Everything DELICIOUS.
Authentic food in a very inauthentic atmosphere. Handsome and friendly staff make up for the fact that you’re eating in a chaotic shopping mall. We each had two items we were considering but the waiter provided great descriptions which made for the perfect selections. Portion sizes are perfect-or shareable if you do an appetizer.
Great food. Very busy but food came out fast and hot
Food was not anything special, service was terrible- Ordering for a group everything came out at different times- main course pizza arrived with table appetizers, pasta on different schedule-Apparently different kitchens cook different items. Constant confusion around us- Not a place to go for anything other than grabbing a not that good quick bite- Will never go back.
Had wanted to go here for a while, as it had been recommended to me by a few people, and I was not disappointed!!
The food is outstanding, friendly service, and nice atmosphere.
My only criticism would be that I booked a table for 6pm for 2 people, checked in when we arrived at 5.50pm.... didnt get seated until 6.20pm! People without reservation got seated before us.... they need to make this more efficient!
Overall, I would definitely highly recommend!!!
Best lasagna ever !
We shared squash, margherita pizza, and pasta pomodoro and devoured it all. Delicious
As always this place has great food and service. Nothing like the burrata, we LOVE it!
Great tasing lunch special and it was super fast too! Thank you!!
My friend who lives in Back Bay and I, who live in Jamaica Plain, come here every two weeks, knowing that the wine and the pasta and the service and the conversation of long-time friends is an unbeatable combination.
Food was excellent, delicious and plentiful. Service was fast and courteous. Just great for “supermarket “ food.
We've been to Eataly in NYC and now Boston. It's always amazing to every sense. You cannot lose if you're dining, shopping or snacking. Everyone should go again and again.
Always a special time in Eataly. Boston has the best one! Also check out the new Piazza restaurant where Tomasso is the new manager. He is outstanding. Had the special squid ink and shrimp pasta it was great. My husband had the truffle pasta that was divine but came at a very high price point! Special dinner though so worth every penny! Nebbiola wine was also a treat!
Outstanding food, annoying waitress but a kind buss boy
Great food and came out fast, which was helpful to make a show time.
A great place to eat good Italian food. Limited menu but great choices. Wines are super expensive
Overpriced and overrated tourist trap. Dryest pasta I've ever had and they wouldn't bring me a side of sauce. Small portions, no option for meatballs.
Felt very rushed
Great food, friendly service. We were seated at the exact time of our reservation. Overall a great experience.
Loved our waiter. I think, Gustavo. Wasn’t thrilled at the overly salty sauce on the pasta. Also, the Caesar salad had a way too creamy salad dressing. Didn’t taste any lemon or anchovy. Didn’t seem very authentic. Loved the shaved Parmesan and loved the mixed blend rosso wine.
We really enjoyed our meal. We were seated promptly after checking in with the host and we had great service throughout our meal. Our party had two pizzas and two different pasta dishes. I think the pizza special ( prosciutto and spicy sausage) was the standout dish. Everything was very good. We were just in Italy last summer and it was fun to relive our experiences of Italian markets throughout the evening. Although, it also made me want to just book a trip to immediately head back there to visit our favorite spots. It’s informal dining, so if you are wanting something for a special occasion I’d probably make a reservation in the restaurant upstairs, but it’s a fun, family friendly atmosphere. I would say only downside is the tables are packed in and very close together, with no wiggle room behind you. Loved that I could go grab some Italian specialty items after dinner! Will definitely return to Eataly.
As always the food was great! We make a point to go every time we’re in the area!
The food was incredible. The atmosphere is tough- it’s in the middle of a very busy eataly. Also- everything comes out very quickly so it’s not exactly relaxing. But the quality of the food made up for it
Food was great! Would definitely recommend this place.
We closed the deal!
