La Piquette is our “ go to” place. Excellent food, great drinks and friendly staff. So glad this restaurant is in our hood.
Love the outdoor pavilions. Food was great. Frites should be cooked a bit longer. Coq au Vin, trout and steak frites. Frisée Lardons salad, leek potato and mushroom soup, gateau l’orange, chocolat fondant and cannelles all great!
We've been to La Piquette a couple times. It's been consistently good. We particularly recommend their preparations of duck. The roast duck with mashed potatoes is a family favorite. But, really, its all quite good and the menu is worth exploring.
The service was terrific and the food was amazing! Be sure to save room for the chocolate mousse!
Extraordinary restaurant. Had a sautéed soft-shell crab and it was spectacular.
This bistro is always consistently on the mark for a lively dining experience. Waiters are friendly and professional, ambiance is warm and welcoming, and Chef Francis creates delicious meals that are truly authentic French! A favorite place in DC!
Another tasty and innovative dinner for us at la Piquette. Happy to introduce friends to one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants.
The food is terrific. Service was fine. Noise was very loud. We drove and needed to park. That was a bit of a problem. Would I do it again yes.
Perhaps it would be appropriate to serve 2 filets of trout rather than one.
A perfect outdoor spot for a celebratory lunch! The mushroom risotto was especially delicious, and the servers gave us ample space for our stroller and were very kind when our baby woke from his nap. It was the perfect anniversary lunch!
Food and service was outstanding for our table of 6 people. Restaurant was full and yet the timing of food and courses was great! I have dined here many times and it’s always an enjoyable evening. Ambiance is nice whether it’s a quiet dinner for two or a larger group. Will keep coming back!
Always consistent - a visit to France in 120 minutes, while never leaving DC.
Fun bistro atmosphere with excellent food from start to finish. Good house wine options.
Great neighborhood bistro. Doesn't try to be grand French cuisine, but does the staples very well. Wonderful ambience inside, tented dining outside. A favorite.
Very nice and delicious, as always, and also VERY loud.
Lovely lunch with old friends at La Piquette. We had a lot of catching up to do and the perfect French service gave us ample time to enjoy our meal and each other. Risotto got rave reviews, as did the octopus appetizer and the bronzino. We thoroughly enjoyed our leisurely lunch and will definitely return and recommend this little jewel of a restaurant.
Excellent all around. Consistently fabulous.
Too noisy inside. Ok service. Excellent food.
This is a terrific French bistro off Wisconsin Ave near National Cathedral. The food was delicious. I had a potato leek soup, duck l’orange, and a lovely orange gateau with anglais sauce. We also shared a terrine starter. Delicious bread. My companions ate well also. It was relaxed atmosphere.
Very enjoyable Sunday brunch with a daughter in need of non-dorm food! We reserved an outside table which was lovely. The service was good and the food very tasty. We will surely return.
Our return visit and it is still a great treat! Thank you!!!
This is wonderful food, and the ambiance is the best. Top notch staff and tons of wine choices. Definitely will be returning!
Excellent food. My husband had salmon and I had the roast duck with orange sauce. Both were delicious. The service was very good for a busy night.
Delicious food, charming service, at a table strangely off to the side of the patio.
You can never go wrong at La Piquette. We live in Boise, ID and try and go on every visit to DC.
Exccellent food & good service, but noise level uncomfortably high.
Sat outside. No noise issues. Prices seem to be climbing but the quality remains rock solid. Very nice Lupe de mer. OK fondant for desert.
Good food. Reasonably priced. Very nice neighborhood restaurant
Once again the service and food at La Piquette were outstanding. The wait staff never disappoint. They are attentive, know the menus well and can answer any question a diner might have. I have never been disappointed at La Piquette and appreciate the atmosphere, which is busy and convivial but never rushed.
Everything was perfect--a lovely late-summer evening with a table by the big open window. I loved my perfectly prepared duck and my husband loved his soft shell crabs. Very romantic ambience and first-rate service. Couldn't have asked for more1
The covered deck is a perfect outdoor setting. The staff was lovely.
Love this restaurant. Service is great and food is excellent. Little French Bistro in DC!
The food and service here are consistently good. Francois, the chef, only uses the freshest ingredients and prepares in an elegant but healthy fashion.
We had a lovely evening, with courteous fun service and delicious food.
We are long term diners at La Piquette. The seating arrangement outdoors was fine. The food was good - what we got of it. The wait between courses was inexcusable: 20 minutes for appetizers; 45 minutes for the main courses! The waitstaff apologized repeatedly, noting that all the other tables had been served. We left without dessert rather than stick around until dawn. La Piquette used to be a favorite, but we have resolved to try some new restaurants.
Perfect French bistro. Good food and wine and great service. Book ahead as it’s always busy. Perfect for every day dining or a special occasion.
Great place and fantastic French food (we are French and love it!)
Would have appreciated to Chef to come and say Hello to the guests!
