Duck Leg Confit, DuPuy Lentils
Always a delightful and delicious experience. We are so lucky to have this gem!
Good value. Good menu. Good service. All fine. In or out.
I am so happy that La Piquette has lots of outdoor seating and heaters (although they likely could use a few more). The food is still terrific and the service great. I miss the indoor vibe when the place is full, but I am just happy to think that I can still have a great meal without sacrificing my safety by being inside. Thanks, La Piquette!1
We sat outside on a brisk day, but heat lamps and proper dress kept us toasty. Great food, wonderful service; only issue was a slightly noisy street at lunchtime.
Enjoyed a wonderful dinner (as always) at La Piquette with a friend outside on a cool evening. Their heat lamps made things comfortable and cozy. Food and service are always outstanding! Really enjoyed the "Escargot Provencale" appetizer, sautéed in tomatoes, garlic and basil.
Love Cyril and team at Lepic
Beautiful evening to eat outside. Delicious meal.
Wonderful experience! We met at La Piquette 3 years ago and always go back on our anniversary (and in between as well). The service is wonderful and the food is delicious!
Good food and well presented. Lots of social distancing was a comfort
Just a weekday dinner out. It was exceptional.
Amazing experience as always!!! ❤️
This is the best French restaurant in the area. My wife and I moved away earlier in the year, and have not been out much since the pandemic. When our anniversary came around, this was the only place we wanted to go despite the long drive to get there. The food is always amazing for brunch or dinner, and the ambiance makes us feel like we are back in Paris.
Book club meeting! Everyone enjoyed their meal!
Would be a first rate bistro even in France; superb steak and frites, duck confit, and the hard to find here salade frisee aux lardons
La Piquette never disappoints! We love the team here and wish them well as we navigate this environment. See you next time!
True Bistro! Amazing food, down to earth service, etc. that made us leave the place with a smile. We can imagine how more fun it could be by surrounded more people. While it was cold inside (as the doors were open), the warmth of the food compensated. If the chocolate mousse was less bitter and heavy, we would be leaving the place in ecstasy!
Great food, tables were outside and appropriately distanced Food as good as ever. Outstanding service by Anna.
In the pandemic months, as long as you can eat outside is delightful. Let's hope the weather continues to cooperate.
The food and service was outstanding as always. We ate outside so felt safe. Felt like being in Paris!
La Piquette is doing all it can to provide a safe environment. There are many tables outside and servers are masked , gloved etc.. The food is delicious as always. I had perfectly cooked salmon which I love. My husband had a combined seafood dish that he said was outstanding. Oysters were very fresh. The bread is great, warm just out of the oven. Drinks and wine are so nice to have out, and to not be stuck at home.
I am so impressed at how hard everyone works to give their customers a wonderful experience which is especially appreciated at this heartbreaking time in our country. Everyone is gracious.
Always our favorite authentic French bistro. The food, service, and ambiance, even in these difficult times, never disappoint. Merci beaucoup!
Two of us sat outside on the covered porch. Service was fine - attentive and knowledgeable but not hovering and interrupting. Waiter recommended a good French red wine. Food was, as usual, very good to excellent. We started with a pork ríllete and a four gras, then mussels with excellent fries and trout with a nice salad for the main courses and chocolate mousse and creme caramel for dessert. A well paced, delicious dinner. Cost was $150+ with tip. Not inexpensive but well worth it for us. Excellent bread!
Always a wonderful time at La Piquette
We met friends for dinner. Evening was warm and it was wonderful to dine al fresco. The swordfish and Bronzino were magnificent. The tables were spaced safely. The waiters were careful and wore masks. This is my favorite place to go during this pandemic.
This was my first time at La Piquette. We ate outside and got there before the lunch rush so there was so issue about social distancing. However, by the time we left tables were close enough together that proper social distancing was not possible, especially since once seated guests tend to take off masks to eat and drink. This was surprising since the restaurant’s outside area has expanded considerably. The food was excellent and the portions ample, but the service was less so. People seated well after we were got served more quickly. We needed to ask about where our food was on multiple occasions.
Awesome dining experience. Everything was excellent. Thank you!
Out first choice to have a memorable brunch. We always have a great experience at La Piquette.
Always reliable - had a wonderful lunch outdoors with friends - food and service were fantastic. Don’t miss the Chicken Paillard.
Best French bistro in DC and our favorite restaurant.
Classy French bistro food, with real French sauces. Bronzino fillet with a delicate white sauce was well cooked with excellent flavor, as the sauce did not overwhelm the fish. Accompanied by very good spinach. Pasta with grilled shrimp also fine, with complex flavors in the light tomato sauce. Wines on tap were just OK, but waiter replaced the too-sweet red with a real Bordeaux. Chocolate mousse for dessert was a winner: aromatic and not too sweet. Outside table was just right. We're going back soon.
One of our favorite places in DC. The food is always fantastic and the service is phenomenal.
Our favorite Dc restaurant has not lost a step. We always went often and it remains our go-to place for most special events. Since we're older we had been reluctant to visit restaurants for in-house dining, but La Piquette was too difficult to pass up for our first venture. Easy inside and outside seating options, the same quality food and excellent servers who have been there for years. And a surprising complete menu that still offers many options. Chef Francis is busy as always, but still finds time to check in with diners he remembers. We'll be back much more often now.
My favorite French restaurant in DC that I have loved for years. Delicious food and wine, wonderful service, and charming ambiance. We had the salmon tartare, escargot, duck confit, duck l’orange, and a bottle of vino blanc. Everything was perfect. We didn’t order dessert (although I would usually get the apple tarte - amazing!), but they still sent us home with a complimentary cake and candle for my birthday which was such a sweet gesture. Outside seating and mask wearing made for a safe and worry-free evening out to celebrate a special occasion. 5 stars, highly recommend this gem.
As always, dinner was wonderful! They did a great job making us feel safe and comfortable, socially distanced, etc. And, the food and service was excellent! My wife and I love this place and will keep coming back over and over.
French quality and consistency - two distinguishing features of La Piquette!
Always have a great time and wonderful meal at La Piquette
Wonderful outdoor dining experience with excellent service and fine food.
Love La Piquette. But Open Table implied I could get an outdoor table. When my guest and I arrived, it wasn't available and we had to sit inside. Condensation from aircon dripped on me. Open Table needs to correct form to show customers must phone La Piquette to request an outdoor table.
Fantastic restaurant with great service and excellent food!
Another typical meal @ La Piquette - the service, the food, and the mood, all excellent
