Amazing as always!
Great food and service as always. Ate outside on a lovely evening and felt almost like Paris
A lovely meal outside at lunch...service was efficient and friendly. Prix fixe for lunch a good value. Food was delicious....
Will be happy to return.
One of our favorite restaurants. Food always delicious, ambiance agreeable, outside or in,
service a little slow but okay.
Love La Piquette. My neighborhood go-to bistro.
Delicious and wonderful, wonderful service. thank you
La Piquette is always a favorite. I took my friend for her birthday lunch. You can always count on something for everyone. She is a vegan and they were very accommodating. And there were several options for her.
Food is very good, although pricy for what you get. The real problem is service, specifically the kitchen’s inability to put dishes out in anything approaching a timely fashion. Once the problem became clear, we brought it to waiter’s attention 2x (actually, he should have recognized it without our having to tell him, but whatever), and when the food finally came out, some of it was cold. This is inexcusable for a fine dining establishment.
Fantastic service, delicious food — can’t wait to go back and try other menu items!
Good food, good ambiance. My only issue is that the service is VERY slow. A two-hour lunch for a 3-course menu is way too much. We can only assume that at this time of reopening, staffing is a problem.
My daughter took me to Mother's Day lunch and it was wonderful. Excellent food, wonderful service and just a great place to be. At the end, all women were also given a red rose for the occasion. A very nice touch.
Wonderful experience - great food, wine, service from start to finish! Enjoyed sitting at the outdoor area.
Authentic French fare, warmly served by attentive staff. I had the calamari to start followed by the chicken paillard and the orange cake. The chicken dish came with a nicely sized mixed green salad. The calamari was tasty and the fresh bread served was great for soaking up some of the yummy broth. We sat outside and it was nicely covered and heated. Perfect in case of a passing rain shower. Pace of meal was leisurely. If you are sensitive to salt you may like to request unsalted/less salt. I will definitely be back!
Lovely service in this neighborhood bistro but quite pricey for lunch (soup $12; pate small, $15) and frankly the food was only mediocre.
May return but since so noisy inside will opt for patio or simply go elsewhere. Spoiler alert: used to live in the ‘hood but hadn’t been back to this place for several years.
We had an excellent lunch outside with friends. Everyone enjoyed the meal. The white asparagus was a treat.
Just love the food!!
My doubts started when I noticed that the salade Lyonnaise on their online menu had salmon. I’m from Lyon, France, and I know better. We made reservations for outside, and when we arrived were offered a table with no shade - although several were available. They ended up putting us at a table that was in the entrance to the salon next door - two times while we were there, tables of two people were seated where we had asked to be seated but were told they were only for four people. The wine was also not up to par. Meat was asked for medium rare and served rare and there were olives in the moules marinière! I had such high hopes for another French restaurant but such a bad experience with the service, the mediocre food, and the high prices for the level of food. I’d recommend Le Diplômate, Convivial, la Chamière or Bresca for a much better French food experience.
Always a pleasant, enjoyable experience, and friends from out of town were super impressed with the quality of the food. From the frisee aux lardons to the veal and branzino to the canneles, just exquisite! We were the last diners standing and our waiter and the restaurant staff never rushed us - what a nice change from other establishments, and our whole group commented and appreciated it. Thank you!
We were celebrating a birthday and they did nothing to celebrate it in any way despite the fact we made a notation in the reservation
If you are under the age of 30 do not bother coming. You will receive terrible service, and if you are a woman the servers will consistently stare at you, clearly talking about you. Overall extremely uncomfortable and will not be coming back. A shame because the food is excellent.
I go to this restaurant all the time. It has excellent food - very good value for money - and fantastic staff and service. It has a very nice atmosphere as well.
Only two servers with a full house. Very slow kitchen. Slow service not fault of the servers. They were working hard all the time. Came close to leaving because of long wait.
Wonderful from start to finish
We opted to sit inside rather than outside. This restaurant used to be terribly noisy, but with Covid restrictions (many fewer diners inside), the noise level was bearable.
My main complaint is that I ordered scallops for my main course--and was served three. For $22, that's $7.33 per scallop. My friend shared his main course with me, and the restaurant brought extra bread. Nevertheless, I'm still irritated about it.
I had the Trout Meunière and my dining partner had the Coq au Vin… Both dishes were excellent.
We were going to have dessert, however there was someone smoking a cigar nearby on the outside patio area and the smoke was so noxious we had to leave… This marred an otherwise excellent experience.
iunderstand the person smoking a cigar was actually next-door to the outdoor dining area and not in the confines of the restaurant, however it was still bothersome and we ended up leaving early
Food was great, however. Service decent but not exceptional
We ate outside on a chilly evening. The heaters were excellent. The food, service, ambience was all eat one would expect from a neighborhood French bistro. Will be back.
The perfect date spot!
Great brunch and service. Reasonable pricing for DC.
Underwhelming brunch. Average service, decent but not fantastic escargots, steak, steak tartar. Fries were excellent. Bloody Mary was bland (no celery, little Horseradish, and no lemon).
Transports me to a neighborhood restaurant in Paris. Food is delicious—a variety of options, service is attentive without being intrusive, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. We brought our own bottle of wine (corkage fee applies, naturally). Lovely dinner for 2, indoors. (Staff wear masks, patrons wear masks when not seated, & we’ve been vaxed.)
Thanks for a relaxing night! It was fun and stress free.
One of our favorite neighborhood restaurants. Excellent octopus salad. Great cocktails, attentive service.
When we moved inside because of the wind, our waiter seemed to lose track of us—it took a long time to order. I think it was unclear who was supposed to be taking care of us.
The rabbit dish (Lapin en Gibelotte) that they prepare is fantastic. It's worth a visit for that alone. The beef short ribs are also excellent. My last visit, I was disappointed by the pork rillettes -- strangely seasoned and the salad that accompanied it was bland. But nearly all of my dinners at La Piquette have been superb.
Perfect table outside with superb service and delicious food.
You can always count on an excellent meal and good service at La Piquette.
I thought the food and atmosphere was fantastic. Slightly expensive for some options, but the croque madame/msr were very well priced. Definitely would recommend as a brunch spot
Outrageously good food. Superb French cuisine. The seafood stew and the spare ribs were simply amazing.
The only downside was that it was a bit cold in the restaurant and the bistro setup is a bit loud.
The restaurant had both indoor and outdoor seating. It was chilly inside due to the large open door. The bread was fairly authentic and fresh. Overall, the food was good, service a bit slow, and it was pricey for brunch although we did have drinks and dessert.
I've been at La Piquette about 10 times. Always a good meal and a very enjoyable dining experience.
