   Always our favorite go to for anything Francaise. Thanks Edgar for the hospitality, great as usual. Soft shell crab was perfect, along with everything else.

   Anniversary dinner at this neighborhood standout. I'll confess I judge a French bistro by its steak and frites and mussels. Last night was the steak and frites and the medium rare was just right and an excellent tasty cut. Frites were thin and bountiful. My wife's sea bass disappeared quickly too.

   La Piquette is a great neighborhood restaurant for French food. The service was also great. They recognized my note in the reservation that we were celebrating an anniversary and brought out a celebratory drink and put a candle on our dessert at the end of the meal. The food was also great. We ordered escargot and the asparagus salad to start. The escargot was done in a different style than I was used to, but still delicious. The asparagus was a little too simple, (blanched and served with olive oil and some citrus) and a little bit of a disappointment. But the mains (duck breast and steak frite) were excellent. The proteins were perfectly cooked with really great sauces. La Piquette is the place for a solid meal and experience if you're looking for French food in DC.

   Everything about La Piquette is great. Food is consistently good. Staff are outstanding from recognizing repeat customers, accommodating requests and remaining pleasant and professional.

   A lovely Cleveland Park French restaurant, with good ambience and good food. The service is also excellent.
