Excellent Bistro- Dependably delicious. Chef Francis is a Maestro!
LaPiquette is consistently excellent. We are lucky to have it in the neighborhood.
Had lunch indoors and it was crowded but not too scary! Service was only fair—it took a long time to get the waiter. The rest room needed some tidying up.
La Piquette is a very authentic French bistro and the food is excellent! We loved the ambiance and experience
Great French food, as always, in a pleasant setting, with gracious staff.
The food was better than ever, and even on a chilly night, the outdoor seating worked well because it was very quiet and the heaters worked well.
Delicious French food beautifully presented and served in a cozy French bistro atmosphere.
Excellent classic French food as always, and the service is also as good as ever. For the COVID-cautious, there is tented outdoor seating with heaters.
La Piquette is our favorite restaurant in DC. The menu is varied and the service always excellent.
I love this restaurant as it reminds me so much of being in France, where I often travel.
Great Quality French food served by friendly staff.
Lovely neighborhood place to eat!
Average dining experience for the price. Fish stew with one shrimp, one small potato reasonable number oh mussels, too much calamari.
we go there on special occasions and we are never disappointed by neither food nor service. our grand son thinks the chocolate fondant is out of this world...
La Piquette always has really good service and great food...last evening the
food and service were exemplary....
So noisy that we couldn't conduct a conversation very well.
Always a fan favorite. Food is consistently delicious.
Salmon in Salmon Tartare so fresh and avocado at perfect ripeness.
Frites the best in DC!
Espresso coffee and service a perfect ending to the lunch.
We love this restaurant when we go to DC. It is great food and charming. This is our first time back since COVID. Great time
A bistro with cut above flavor. Cassoulet to die for. Lovely escargot provencial. Service is really nice. Very happy they have non alcoholic beer
Excellent address ! Typical brasserie atmosphere, great food, great service !
Incredibly attentive and helpful staff. Food was absolutely delicious (as were the recommended wine pairings). A little chilly—sat inside but near the window, which was cracked open for ventilation. Would absolutely go back again.
Eh. It was OK but I was hoping for more. The service was SLOW. The food was ok, nothing was stand out good. All in all a mediocre experience.
Love the food. Always in town we return . Only is a bit noisy
The food was exceptionally good. Service was attentive. Only downside was noise level. Hard to have a conversation.
We really enjoyed our dinner out to celebrate our anniversary. The service was great as was the food!
Outside patio is great - tables spaced far enough apart and heaters to keep the space comfortable. Food was very good, extensive menu, easy street parking. It was loud, both inside and out, so we had to used raised voices for conversation at our table.
A favorite restaurant. Excellent food and ambience. Comfortable outside seating. Great for celebrating a special event.
This is a neighborhood jewel, a city-wide jewel. There is no better restaurant for classic, simple wonderful French food.
Lovely atmosphere and perfect French inspired food. One could be transported to the Left Bank.
We sat on the porch, so there was definitely not too much noise. So grateful for that in time of Covid. Starting with still-delicious tomatoes and mozzarella, I got up my courage and had the Lapin en Gibelotte. It was absolutely delicious. The dish included some pasta, a wonderful sauce. My husband started with wonderful cauliflower soup and had the trout meunière, always reliable. We then shared a crême brûlée. It was all perfect. You cannot wrong at this delightful spot.
An outstanding cassoulet. And a great gateau a l'orange.
I am French and new to DC.
I tried this restaurant based on reviews and proximity to the National Cathedral I visited.
It perfectly fulfilled my nostalgic appetite for French food!
Brasserie feel, affordable prices and excellent quality.
I started with the Steak tartare, then I had the scallops and finished with the apple pie!
Very well done chef and team! I’ll come back soon
Salade nicoise and eggs Benedict with salmon were both fabulous. Service was attentive but not at all obtrusive. Fairly empty when we got there at noon, but noisy an hour or 90 minutes later I love French bistros and this did not disappoint at all
Very relaxed atmosphere every dish we ordered was amazing! My only criticism would be to have backs on all of he stools at the high top tables
My favorite restaurant in all of DC. Amazing food, wonderful atmosphere, friendly staff and such a great neighborhood vibe. Last night was my first time back since the start of Covid, and it as great as ever and we were greeted like old friends. Felt safe, will be back again soon!
I had the Duck Confit and it was terrific. My dining companions really enjoyed their meals as well (Bouillabaisse, Braised Short Ribs and Trout Meuniere). The service was excellent. We sat on the patio with heat lamps per our request. A little bit cold, but we dressed appropriately. Looking forward to eating inside once we're on the other side of the pandemic.
Our server was very good and the food was delicious. I highly recommend the apple tart for dessert. We ate outdoors and it was warm enough. I would have liked just a tad more space between diners.
Great ambiance; one thinks that it could be Paris. Food overall is very good; excellent visual presentation of bistro-style dishes. Duck confit was tasty and moist. Duck à l'orange was good, though it could have used more sauce, and the duck was a little over-cooked even as "medium," as I like my duck definitely pink. Nice frisée salad with lardons. Poireaux Vinaigrette served warm was tasty; the leeks were a bit chewy. And for desert, the Cannelés with Crème Anglaise were fabulous: delicious, textured as they should be, and with the rich crème anglaise as a bonus.
Superior and friendly service. Overall, we loved it. Will do it again!
Lovely food, service and ambiance at La Piquette. This restaurant knows how to create a memorable meal. I look forward to a return visit.
