We welcome you in joining us for Lunch, Dinner & Sunday Brunch. Come dine in this beautifully restored Uptown restaurant on Magazine Street and enjoy James Beard Award Winning Chef Justin Devillier's contemporary Louisiana Cuisine.

The La Petite Grocery name pays homage to the history of its home, a building that’s been standing for more than a century. The original structure was built in the late 1800s and called the Central Tea, Coffee and Butter Depot. In 1908, a fire devastated the space and it was transformed into a full service grocery store. Later it was most notably a fine foods and butcher shop, VonderHaar’s Fine Foods until 1982. When La Petite Grocery opened in March of 2004, they similarly aspired to provide the neighborhood with exotic teas, locally roasted coffee, and fresh produce. By doing this, we hope to provide a dining experience that evokes nostalgia of old New Orleans.

Great food, knowledgeable service, horrible acoustics. Regrettably, we will not be back— the noise is simply too much.

just simply wonderful...we were not that hungry just wanted to share a some food, a salad and a app and we have two drinks, which expertly crafted. the short rib was really delicious and easily could be sized up for entree. the apple /celery salad was crisp and fresh. we sat in the bar area and had great service. the butterscotch pudding is something we have been back for at lpg a few times. we will be back....

Recommend beignets, scallops and ravioli. Only negative was that the Women’s bathroom was gross with flooded water on floor.

The food was outstanding but our waiter was slow and seemed uninterested in our table and those around us. The food was well worth the trip. It was perfect for our Sunday brunch.

This was our first stop on our second visit to NOLA. Delicious restaurant - you must try the blue crab beignets. Service is super good. The sommelier is friendly and knowledgeable. Overall, an excellent restaurant. We cannot wait to go back!

Top notch Louisiana cuisine featured uniquely with amazing flavor combinations. Truly one of the gems of New Orleans dining from the atmosphere to the food. Specifically, the crab begneits are to die for and are the best in the city, hands down. The panned rabbit was delicious and served with delicious sides accentuating each items unique flavor. Soup of the day, a sweet potatoe soup with poached shrimp, also one of the best soups i’ve Ever had. Definitely the type of place you simply must go to more than once to try all of the great choices on the menu. Lastly, very reasonable portions!

Went with old friends for Mardi Gras and wanted to try a few of the good restaurants there. We were not able to book for dinner but they could fit us in for lunch. The food was amazing and did not disappoint! Looking forward to visiting for dinner on our next trip.

I have always tried to make Le Petite Grocery a must stop on every trip to New Orleans. The food is always top notch and this time I had the hamburger for lunch and it was perfect and cooked to perfection.

This is a delightful little restaurant more than a bistro but more casual than fine dining. The food is good. The blue crab beignets were great. I had shrimp and grits and they were very nicely done and well flavored. The ambiance is lovely -- tin ceilings, bentwood chairs. We ordered mac and cheese which never showed up, but the portions are generous so that turned out not to be a problem We let the server pair our wines and they were very nice.

This was our second visit and we were once again delighted with our meal and experience. The blue crab beignets and the appetizer special of fried green tomatoes with shrimp were excellent and addictive! I very much enjoyed my shrimp and grits (I’ve had this dish all over the south and this is a wonderful version)! My daughter had the flatiron steak with fingerling potatoes and black truffle aioli and she also really loved her dinner. My husband had the excellent burger. We happened to be at the restaurant during the Super Bowl — we were seated in the bar area which was great for us. We could watch the game and enjoyed our delightful dinner. A fun and relatively quiet atmosphere which suited us perfectly! Wonderful restaurant!

The food and cocktails were great, and they have a good selection of wines by the glass. The ambiance is nice, fairly quiet and not too stuffy. The portion sizes are just right, satisfying but not too big. The paneed rabbit was to die for. Perfectly crisp and decadent.
