La Petite Grocery
The La Petite Grocery name pays homage to the history of its home, a building that’s stood for more than a century. The original structure was built in the late 1800s and called the Central Tea, Coffee and Butter Depot. In 1908, a fire devastated the space and it was transformed into a full service grocery store. Later it was most notably a fine foods and butcher shop, VonderHaar’s Fine Foods until 1982. When La Petite Grocery opened in March of 2004, they similarly aspired to provide the neighborhood with exotic teas, locally roasted coffee, and fresh produce. By doing this, we hope to provide a dining experience that evokes nostalgia of old New Orleans.

We sat outside. It was a beautiful evening. The food was delicious, and the ambiance was so nice.
Intimate room. Socially distant seating. Shrimp and grits were delicious and pork chop was yummy. Expansive wine list. Would definitely recommend.
Always a great experience!
always good! outdoor seating worked very well. they made our 3 year old a delicious pasta dish. very accommodating.
This was an outstanding dining experience! We were celebrating a birthday and anniversary and the La Petite Grocery team made us feel incredibly special from the moment we arrived until we left. Everything was well thought-out and prepared, from the drinks to the desserts.
The best of NOLA.
Celebrated my husband's & friend's birthday during Restaurant Week. Great selection of the best cocktails and food anywhere plus friendly, amazing service. Every visit to NOLA includes a meal at la petite grocery!
My husband and I went here for our 10 year anniversary and it was amazing. The service, cocktails and food were all incredible. It is one of my favorite meals I have ever had in the city, and that is really saying something.
Great food service and ambiance
It was a Saturday lunch and everything was perfect
The restaurant week menu was top notch. The food wonderful and the staff great.
We loved it!! Alex was a very nice, funny, and knowledgeable server who gave us a great suggestion for a Rose. Everyone who touches the table was friendly and professional. We love LPG!
We had the fried chicken sandwich off the restaurant week menu and thought it was AMAZING! Thank you for great food and service!
We came for restaurant week, and unfortunately paid 45 dollars for a 30 something dollars meal, however it was delish!
One of the best meals in one of the most refined restaurants you'll ever have.
Youthful reverence of tradition - delightful
Adorable place--would love to come back and eat inside. Outside was great for the pandemic. Loved the ricotta dumplings in a smoked tomato sauce and the roasted chicken with garden peas and baby carrots. Burger looked fabulous as well.
We went for brunch for our anniversary and had a great time. The food was delicious.
The Blue Crab Beignets and the Hamburger were outstanding!
This was the first time I had dinner at this restaurant. The service and food were excellent! They have a fun cocktail list and a nice wine list!
Always great food and outstanding service.
Food and service was great!
Fantastic. The crab beignets were absolutely perfect. Highly recommend.
Food was delicious. It was our "delayed" anniversary celebration, the staff acknowledged it with a free pour and congrats.
Great experience at one of the cities best restaurant s.
Great Sunday lunch spot! Bright atmosphere! Quiet in a good way!
Brunch seating outside. Food and service were excellent, will absolutely go back.
Wonderful Sunday brunch! Met up with friends and had a very relaxed experience. Food was excellent, drinks fabulous, service impeccable! Get place for brunch!! Would definitely recommend to anyone
It was superb. The food was impeccable and the service was top notch. The scallops were cooked perfectly, and the fried brussel sprouts were so tasty and savory. Loved every bite.
Chuck is a joy — we so enjoy his service!
As always everything was wonderful.
The pork belly appetizer was amazing.
Fabulous place to have a delicious meal. Our only issue was with the chairs which were uncomfortable for more than a very short time.
La petit lives up to the hype!! In my 5 years at Tulane, I watched everyone choose this restaurant for dinner with their parents, and never ended up taking my own. Well I finally made it for happy hour and dinner and I get why everyone loved coming here. The blue crab beignets are to die for. They have a DESSERT on the happy hour. I had the vodka Collins, an old fashioned, and a glass of wine for 18 dollars (which may explain the two hour nap I just woke up from). The shishito peppers and fries were also phenomenal and last but not least - those ricotta dumplings - something I will surely have dreams of tonight. I am officially a La Petit fan. PS my boyfriends sirloin was bomb as well.
Had a fantastic meal with great cocktails
Phenomenal as always.
This place is amazing - we snagged a last-minute reservation for a late Sunday lunch. Amazing wine list and delicious food. We splurged on the baked alaska- so fun and delicious!
The food is delicious and the place I loved it I definitely recommend it. 👍🏼
I love this restaurant just two blocks from our home. The food is only exceeded by the service. They made us feel like we were on our first date, even after years of happy marriage.
Amazing food, cocktails and service.
The service was very good, but the food was just ok. The brussels sprouts had a lot of balsamic vinegar and it was overbearing. The burger was really good, but the appetizers were just ok. I did not find the broccoli soup to be good.
