Went for a weekday lunch and the service was very slow. It was surprising given that the location caters to office workers on lunch break. The appetizers I had were good however the salad was completely bland.
Beautiful decor, great menu, reasonable prices, quality, delicious food and great service. I loved it!!
I was excited to try this restaurant because the menu looked delicious but was not very happy with the service or food once I got there. The server was barely attentive and was not good at communicating the brunch special (free Bellini with specific menu choice). My friend had parts of her salad left off and then the bus boy threw down the missing ingredients in passing without apologizing. Then another busboy spilled a mimosa on my shirt and boots and barely apologized. I felt it was a huge miss that the server did not know what was going on at her table.
Excellent food, but the service was fair at best. Which is very sad because there is true magic coming out of that kitchen. Even though it was one of the best brunches I have had in bit, I would still avoid this place. It was a level 5 scene....people packed in like sheep, no space to breathe, and servers rushing by pretending NOT to notice that you asked for a coffee 20 minutes ago. And don't get me started on the "I'm better than your stupid question" attitude that seems to be pervasive....
Good food and service. Only complaint is tables are tight due to it being a smaller sized restaurant. Will go again if looking for a nice meal.
The food is delicious, we were 9 friend and we were very comfortable in a round table.
Very disappointed - I used to really like it for business and pleasure. My last 2 visits were for pleasure with friends. Both nights were disappointing- I am done with this place.
An unexpected surprise. The food and service were FABULOUS. Can’t wait to go again and bring friends. Thank you.
My wife and I found the restaurant just a couple blocks from our hotel at 50th and Lex. The service was excellent and the food amazing. Meatballs were smooth and moist in a delicious sauce. We both had pasta dishes - the pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauces - bolognese and arrabbiatta - were amazing. Throw in a nice bottle of wine, end the meal w limoncello and life is good.
Wonderful experience. Authentic Italian food, attentive service, knowledgeable staff.
Jimmy our server was truly wonderful. Food is delish.
Our first brunch in the city. Amazing food and so cute! Would def recommend.
The ambience is beautiful and comfortable, with good lightning and decor. The food is really good too, I had the Caccio Peppe Buccatini. The wine service wasnt really good, the server pored the whole bottle in our 4 glasses at once, instead of slowly serving it. The price is good, not cheap but also not expensive. Great experience overall!
The food was good, and our waiter was lovely.
We were going to leave the restaurant. However, there was a very long wait for the bathroom, so we sat at our table till we saw that the line die down. It never dies down. The hostess came over and asked us to leave since another reservation was going to take our seats. She offered free drinks or a free dessert but at their bar which was full...maybe provide those things when you know there are seats available at the bar.
We left since the bathroom was never going to be available.
Food was good and tasty but portions are quite small.
In all fairness to the restaurant, we had no idea what the atmosphere would be like. We spent the day walking around in the rain and were ready for a nice, relaxing dinner. If you're looking for relaxing, this isn't the place. Not only is it high energy, at a table for 2, you are seated on top of everyone else with barely enough room to squeeze out from behind the table. The waitstaff and customers bustled by, brushing your coat or carrying meals dangerously above your head. It is a very busy place and the food was good, but depending upon what you ordered, the portion size could be incredibly meager. My pasta with mushrooms and arugula was very good. My husband ordered the papardelle, and while it was tasty, I laughed at the portion size, telling him he would definitely need dessert. We aren't hefty eaters and I was surprised by the size of the serving bowls. There is certainly nothing wrong with the restaurant, just not our cup of tea. Maybe if I were 20 years younger???
My husband and I went to this restaurant with another couple. We loved the food and the staff were very friendly. The pastas are very fresh and tasty. Highly recommend this place.
Great. Great. Great. Love everything about this place.
I would give zero stars for service if I could. It was easily the worst experience I have had here. From the hostess to the manager to the server — all bad. So bad I would consider never returning.
This is an OK Italian restaurant. The ambiance is very good, the service is also very good. The food is good. We ordered a papardelle and a caccio e pepe- both good pasta dishes. The pasta was well done and the ingredients also good. The wine list could be improved with more reasonable prices for Italian wines within the $40/50 range per bottle.
I wish I could have rated it 4 stars because the previous time I ate at the other location, the food was fantastic. This time though, Arancini was excellent, but the Garganellli was quite salty and when I mentioned that to a friend, she said it was salty at the other location too, so it is a recipe issue not a one-off mistake. Will probably go again and try something else.
Ok. So our server was amazing. And so was the food. The young ladies at the check in are a bit rude but overall a great experience.
This is a great staple with terrific food and great service. The room is loud, when full, but it's a fun place!
Excellent pasta, reasonably price wines, fast and friendly and accommodating service.
Great service and food.
A pesar de tener una reservación a las 9 pm esperamos casi 25 min para que nos dieran una mesa.
They sat me a half hour after our reservation was scheduled. The food was mediocre and expensive. Needless to say I won’t be returning there.
We love this restaurant! It has great food, cozy and chic design and excellent service! Good for a family get together or a 1:1 date.
As always, food and drinks were great! Spruce impeccable! Thank you!!
A table of 10 celebrating a birthday. Our server, Jimmy was engaging and professional. Great table for a large group. We were all able to talk to one another
Excellent restaurant. Noise level is too high and it's difficult to have a conversation. Very difficult to hear anyone. All because of a high music volume which is unnecessary.
Wonderful neighborhood gem! Had an amazing meal and loved the atmosphere. Cozy and buzzing with conversation, good food, and wine. Decor is awesome. My pappardelle with pork ragout was recommended by our waiter and was fabulous! Can't wait to go back and try another dish. Next time, we'll stay for dessert.
Pasta a little too salty. Underwhelmed by $11 dessert.
Service was poor... took 15 min to get water... and 20 to get wine
Appetizers were good... dinner was too salty..sent the pork back
Food was good but we suffered from an incredibly indifferent wait staff. I think we had three different waiters - no one took responsibility for our table...
The brussel sprouts were the best part of the meal! It's a must have
Nice place..food was tasty. Quantity was small. Tables very close together. Service was excellent.
I love the midtown location and the overall feel of this new La Pecora Bianca. Our table of five had the roasted cauliflower appetizer which was outstanding. Besides that, we only sampled the pastas so I can’t comment on the other offerings. The pastas were all very good as were the two desserts we tried, a chocolate budino (pudding) and a strawberry compote of some kind. The one complaint I had is that we asked the waiter to give us some time to enjoy our cocktails and appetizer before ordering dinner. He kind of pushed us to order and promised he would wait to put the order in. Well, sure enough, the food came out well before we were ready. We felt that he wanted to make sure we didn’t overstay our allotted block of time.
