Our server was very good. She understood our special requests and solved for that creatively. However the hostess was very rude. I arrived on time while my friend was late. I indicated to the hostess that I wanted to be seated regardless. Instead of seating me, she dealt with people behind me in line and made me wait for no reason. Then the seater person tried taking me to less desirable tables indicating that the tables I wanted were requested by others. I had to insist on the table I wanted and ate eventually relented. It was unbelievable!
This is a regular mid-range restaurant yet hosting acts like this is the most desirable eatery in the city. I suggest coaching for better customer service.
The food was good, wine was ok.
Wow! What a great experience at La Pecora Bianca. To my surprise, I got engaged the day we had reservations. We are from Austin, TX and came to NYC to celebrate my now fiance's birthday. He had planned the surprise with both of our parents in attendance and the manager (Amy) changed the reservation from 2 people to 6 with out me ever finding out. Our waitress Suzana was so kind and paid attention to every detail. Including a few complimentary surprises to celebrate the engagement and she recommended the perfect amount of food for all of us to share. They also were able to accommodate a friend of ours who lives in Denver who wanted to surprise us with a round of Aperol Spritz! A night I will never forget for many reasons, but finishing the night with a delicious dinner at La Pecora Bianca was the perfect cherry on top! We will return every visit to NYC not only because this restaurant is now very special to us, but also because the food was delicious and the service was top notch. Thank you!
The grilled octopus appetizer and scallops entree were very good. Service was top notch, our orders were taken promptly, plates were cleared quickly and we were given time to relax. A little noisy, but I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
I liked the food and cuisine, a bit noisy but a good experience overall
Love the restaurant but the noise level is becoming unbearable. I frequent the restaurant and will have to go at an earlier time. I won’t not go because I love it.
Our server was amazing! He took such good care of us - I apologize that I don't know his name but he was so much fun and made our team dinner more lovely than it already was, as well as providing very solid food recommendations. I had only been to the one in Flatiron but it's great to know that both locations have the same standards and high quality. Thank you!
A delight from start to finish!
It was good food and nice service.
Nice space, welcoming staff and good simple Italian food.
The waiter was wonderful! We had the tuna tartare as a start, the rigatoni and tagliatelle, Brussels sprouts, wine, and budino. Everything was great!
Great service and good food, but a tad too noisy for my liking
Nice friendly restaurant, conveniently located. Although it was busy we were seated only a few minutes after the reservation time. The staff were really helpful and the food good. There is not a great choice for younger diners but that’s clearly not their target audience. The wine list was fairly extensive but expensive (no real surprise for midtown Manhattan). Bill for 4 (2 children) came to over $230 but we did have main course, dessert and a bottle of wine.
Food was mediocre at best. They charged us for a birthday cake.. who does that? Overpriced and not that great. Go across the street.
Excellent food, great ambiance, professional yet friendly service. Highly recommended!
We’ve been coming here a couple times a month since they opened and this was disappointing. Brunch wasn’t great and prosciutto was bad.
Mother/daughter long weekend! This place was listed as one of the best places to eat in Midtown! It did not disappoint! The service was excellent and the food was delicious! Will come back here for sure!
We searched plenty of midtown restaurants for date night and ended up coming here. I am so happy we did. The food was just amazing and our server Ash was even better than the food. He was very attentive, pleasant and just nice without being pushy. Perfect job! The menu looks standard Italien but the quality and tasted is not standard at all. One of the best pasta dishes I had for a while. They also make the pasta themselves in a pasta station visible to clients.
The only super small downsize is that the tiramisu is just offered for a table of ~5-6 people. We ended up joking with the two tables next to us to order one tiramisu and split it as both couples had similar feelings of wanting a tiramisu but just not a huge sized one.
We dined with a group of 8 of us. The Midtown location sat us at a large rounded booth that was perfect for allowing conversation amongst the group. Everything we ordered was outstanding, our server was amazing and knew pretty much everything about everything on the menu. He provided perfect detail and his recommendations were solid. Every one of us ate every bite of our pasta dishes. Everything was fresh and delicious. Would recommend to others.
We had a wonderful dinner! I had the ravioli with crispy prosciutto and salted, it was amazing! Perfect balance of richness and salty! My husband had the tagliotelle and he thoroughly enjoyed it as well! The olive oil cake and an affogato finished our meal perfectly. Michael was a wonderful server with great suggestions.
We came back the next day for lunch and Matthew was our server. He was a lot of fun to talk with and also had great suggestions. The prosciutto panini was very good and we enjoyed another great meal! Great neighborhood gem!
One of my favorite spots in Midtown. I always enjoy the food and ambiance. Highly recommended.
The food was very good and great location. The only thing we would recommend is that the eggs on the different Benedict’s be hot, they were cold when we got them. The ricotta lemon pancakes were delicious!!!
Absolutely gorgeous space with delicious food, but the noise level is so loud it’s impossible to have a conversation without feeling like you’re yelling.
Loved it! What a special breakfast place this is!
Our waiter Michael was WONDERFUL!
I keep coming back to la Pecora Bianca because the food is delicious, fresh and super tasty.
Unfortunately we did not have a good experience at La Pecora Bianca (midtown location), and would find it difficult to recommend it to any friends/coworkers.
We expected an fun, energetic environment but were disappointed by the lack of coordination amongst the wait staff, and the sub-par food quality.
The waiter needed to take/confirm our order twice and the food-runner and waiter kept giving conflicting information. We kept getting interrupted with the sometime same, and sometimes conflicting information regarding the status of our food; even though we hadn't asked for any status updates in the first place.
For example, once the food runner came to us and told us that the food was ready to be served, and asked us if we ready for entrees. Having been waiting for a while, we were surely ready to eat. But we hadn't caused any fuss, we were just nibbling over our leftover appetizers and sipping on our drinks. Then the waiter came and repeated the same thing again, stating that the food was ready. We told him that we had just been notified of this information a few minutes ago, and are looking forward to the meal.
Then in about two more minutes the foodrunner came back and said that she misspoke and the food was not ready yet, and we would need to wait longer. We told her that the waiter just told us a minute ago that the food was ready. She seemed confused and said that she was going to check back with the waiter. The waiter came back in a few minutes and confirmed that the food was indeed not ready and that we would need to wait longer.
The entire night was filled with weird miscommunications like that. We would order a drink and two drinks would show up. On one occasion the wrong drink showed up.
It honestly felt like a low grade chain restaurant where no one was paying attention to the level of service or food quality. Once the food arrived, my Roasted Sasso Chicken was barely luke warm with mushy risotto. My wife wasn't a big fan of her meal either.
Top notch Italian restaurant! Everything we ordered was delicious - arancini, tagliatelle Bolognese, ravioli, the bread service came with excellent EVOO, and for dessert the hazelnut buddino with crispy honeycomb crumbles. In every case, you taste each ingredient yet it's balanced with the rest. The staff was polite and attentive without making you feel rushed.
Enjoyable evening!! Great food and wonderful service. ask for Ivan at the bar!! Perfect service!
Always very accommodating and the food is great!
My husband took me here for my birthday. The food was amazing and the service was excellent!
The chef should seriously consider a smaller portion of tiramisu instead of a plate suitable for 4-5 people.
I’ve gone several times and it continues to be one my my favorite plaves
I enjoyed a wonderful breakfast and then returned for dinner.
Breakfast was delicious and delightful! Dinner was sensationally good!! The pasta was simply delicious...as good as I have enjoyed anywhere in the City. Service was pleasant and professional. Tables for two are a bit close to each other and the noise level can be intrusive at dinner. But all in all it was terrific and I wil return and recommend it to friends!
The food is so delicious. One big mmmmm!! Thank you.
we had a 5:30pm reservation on Sunday, so it was fairly empty and quiet. We wanted an corner seat and initially was told that it was for 3 people, but they were able to accommodate us, which made the evening much nicer. The brussel sprouts are delicious. The bucatini texture was a little disappointing, but will try it again.
La Pecora Bianca was a wonderful dining experience. The food was absolutely delicious, the service prompt and our waitress April was attentive but not overbearing and very friendly, and the decor is stunning. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough.
We had a wonderful breakfast. Everyone was so friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone
Service was phenomenal and food was delicious!
