About La Panetiere
Owner Jacques Loupiac presents a taste of Provence at La Panetiere. The cuisine is contemporary french, and the dishes change with the season reflecting upon products purchased from market-gardeners, fishermen, free-range poultry farmers, and other purveyors who deserve the respect of their authentic products.

La Panetiere Ratings and Reviews
The entire venue is absolutely charming and every bite of food was delicious. The only downfall is that it took us quite a long time to get the check, we noticed that a mistake had us charged far too little and brought it to their attention to be honest. Then we had to wait another 20 minutes for our check to return at full cost despite our waiting. The experience was overall delightful but it left us disappointed in the end.
We love, love, love this place so much! Our Valentine's dinner was super delicious (even adapted to my gluten free diet) and looked beautiful and the service was excellent!!! We'll be there many more times! Can't wait for the summer - looks like sitting outside will be an option then too.
Ambiance was nice. Food was very good, but the whole thing was very expensive for tiny gourmet plates - I always feel like a sucker after such an experience. We came for Valentines Day, so it was (arguably) worthwhile. The staff are clearly authorities, being French. There was one server, however, who might have been hired as an Italian mob favor or something- this guy with a thick New Yorker accent who was nervous and dropped plates and was a bit too rough for the place. When I asked him about flavors and qualities of comparable bottles of Bordeaux, of which they have many, he asked me at the dinner table about my "price point," which was rude and not the point. I asked him to speak to a Frenchman who could answer the question directly and not like an ill-fitting Trump henchman.
Loved the braised lamb shank and the Bordeaux! Upstairs atrium is lovely!
Be prepared to spend $400 for two people...
As usual, excellently prepared food attractively presented, lovely atmosphere and good service, all of which is a terrific value using a groupon (as we did.) It even included a decent bottle of wine with dinner.
There are many menu choices for the various courses. For personal reasons we would prefer fewer dishes containing shellfish.
We have been dining at La Panetiere for over two decades, and it has always been good, but I don't know if it has ever been as good as it is today. First, it is a beautiful restaurant, in a charming building that feels very much like a country house which at one time long ago it was.
The food is classic French, but with flair and extra touches. Beautifully plated, a feast for the eyes as well as the palate. Extra touches: Tell the waiter you and your dining partner would like to split one of their delicious soufflés, and they will come out with two mini-souflés in mini-souflé dishes. Everyone at our table loved what they had, so I will not recommend any specific entrées. Very, very special.
I have been to La Panetiere many times and it never disappoints. The food is always amazing and the staff go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. This time I booked the reservation and noted that it was my anniversary. The restaurant presented us with a card saying Happy anniversary and thanked us for choosing them to celebrate with. Even down to the last detail they handle things with class and elegance.
Spot on, old school, delivers on all accounts. Service was exemplary and the food options and preparation were excellent. While some guests appeared to have been under 30, the majority, it seemed were over 40/50. The old school French was reminiscent of some finer Manhattan French restaurants featuring fine dining. No bistro, this restaurant is very tastefully decorated with finer appointments. I highly recommend this restaurant for any special occasion - certainly worthy of the splurge!
This is the most authentic French restaurant in the Tri State Area, and serves the most gourmet meals in Westchester. The four of us, had soup, salads, venison, veal, and a combination beef dish. All of it excellent. The bread seems straight out of the oven, and wonderful rolls made it hard to stop at 2. And if you wish you can have it all for 1/2 price with Groupon. Dont wait for a special occasion, just go.
The entire experience at La Panetiere was outstanding! The service was solicitous without being intrusive. The staff was exceedingly polite and we were made to feel special at every turn. The food was absolutely wonderful- fresh perfectly seasoned and prepared, rich without being overly filling. In all- a memorable experience.
Longstanding and wonderful classic French restaurant. The food is always consistently brilliant, evoking memories of Lutece, La Caravelle and La Côte Basque. The service is exquisite and friendly, without being intrusive. It's hard to top anywhere and in Westchester in particular.
Our party of 6 went for Christmas dinner and were very disappointed with the restaurant's lack of transparency. We were presented with a set prix fixe menu ($90), and our captain/server told us that some substitutions were available should someone have a food allergy. One alternative, a pasta with black truffles, which one of our party felt obligated to order because she couldn't eat lobster, came with a $30 supplement charge. We asked if an a la carte menu was available and were told no. A short time later, we noticed another table being given a la carte menus, and another diner nearby had the pasta without the truffles. I questioned the maitre d, who apologized for any confusion and said there would be an adjustment made to our bill. Although we weren't charged for our two bottles of wine, a lot of food went to waste as three of our party didn't care for several of the courses and we left feeling ripped off. After having many good experiences over the years, it's highly unlikely that we will return.
Dine here several times a year for the culinary experience of the 4-course price fixed menu. Offerings for each course are always a pleasant surprise and absolutely delicious. Presentation is top notch, and the atmosphere is comfortably elegant. Wait staff is courteous and efficient, assuring that water and bread is constantly replenished as needed, and used dinnerware does not linger on the table. While the price is high end, always worth the effort a few times per year.
