La Nouvelle is the next story in our culinary journey by Michael Lugo. This opportunity to bring French Nouveau cuisine to our city has us so excited. Bringing to the helm Matthieu Landillon from the coastal city of Marseille, La Nouvelle allows us to explore classic French Bistro fare with an elevated edge. The atmosphere will lead you to the streets of Paris without leaving St. Augustine.

    Chef's Experience Indulge in a one-of-a-kind culinary journey with our Chef's Multi Course Experience - a thoughtfully curated tasting menu collectively designed to satisfy as a full meal. To ensure a personalized and exceptional dining experience, we request that guests inform us of any dietary restrictions or preferences in advance. Our Chef will then craft a custom, blind menu tailored specifically to your tastes, delivering a memorable and unique dining experience. You may also add a customized wine pairing for $65 featuring specialty wines from all over France, hand selected by our team of sommeliers. Each guest in the reservation must participate. Please notify our team 48 hours in advance of reservation with any dietary restrictions and food preferences. If we do not receive restrictions in advance, this will fully be a chef designed menu and cannot be altered at the time of the reservation.

    A truly exceptional dining experience! We came here for my birthday last night and had a fantastic evening! After my husband told them it was my birthday, they brought over glasses of champagne for us to toast with. Our waitress, Natalia was extremely knowledgeable, walked us through the menu and told us Her favorites. We ordered the gougeres which were cheese puffs with a chive dipping sauce. They were somehow decadent and light- cheese clouds said another waitress and I would agree. We then had raw oysters that were served with both the classic mignonette sauce as well as a spicy habanero sauce (too spicy for my husband but perfect for me). For entrees my husband had the duck confit which I assume he liked as he was almost finished before I made it half way through my steak. I opted for the classic steak frites and it did not disappoint. It was perfectly cooked (medium rare- but slightly more on the rare side) served with a truffle butter. For dessert we had the lavender crème brûlée. The food was truly “knock your socks off” good and the service was the perfect match. Every server who came to the table was helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. One even helped me pick out the perfect wine to accompany my steak. I don’t write reviews often, but this place was too special not to. Easily one of my top dining experiences ever!

    What a delightful way to spend our 49th wedding anniversary! We were greeted with complimentary sparkling wine and then we ordered the marinated olives, the beet terrine, and the bouillabaisse for two - all delicious! The atmosphere was charming and the service was excellent! Highly recommended!

    Was there with my wife, she had a branzino and it was by far the best fish she ever had in the St. Augustine area. My food was also great. Will certainly return.

    Perfect location to celebrate a special birthday. Excellent food and service. We enjoyed a variety of food include the olives, cheese puffs, foie gras, escargot, bread service, fish of the day entre, lamb entree and duck entree. All was wonderful. Definitely will be returning.

    Excellent Sunday brunch! La Novelle has a very talented chef from Marseille (I believe) who is passionate about top quality food and the experience provided to his patrons! Also an extremely capable staff! Escargot came to the table literally sizzling with warm bread sprinkled with just the right amount of sea salt, and the Caesar salad was so so fresh - really phenomenal. Steak au Poivre was scrumptious, as was the Steak Frites. My two “twenty-something” daughters said Sunday brunch was their favorite meal on our trip to St. Augustine! The on-site parking was such a relief (and rare in St Augustine!) We sat inside, but there is also a beautiful wrap around porch. The house champagne was perfect.
