Was there a manager on duty? Service was awful but we don’t exactly blame the waiter because they looked HIGHLY understaffed. We never got a water refill, took forever to place an order, our appetizer came minutes before our meal. No napkins. The place wasn’t even packed.

My sisters and I took our mother/mother-in-law to dinner and she doesn’t get out much but appreciated this wonderful dining experience. I had been to La Mesa before so I knew it was a no-risk reward for all. Service was wonderful, staff is friendly and helpful, table was cleaned before during and after our service, Drinks are spectacular, I highly recommend a hibiscus ginger margarita! Very spicy but very fun & celebratory as well. We ordered the elotes fries which were mighty tasty and four groups of tacos in which we made our own “ taco flights“. Highly recommend that to be able to taste many different kinds of tacos as shareables. The food never disappoints. We always leave fall and satisfied. It’s a lovely ambience and the outside seating near the water features are divine. Today we ate inside however because it was 100° outside and we were grateful to be able to have a view to the outside from our comfortable air conditioned window table. We will be back again and again.

Waited 20 min for a server to greet us and then another 40min to get our first drink. Overall time at the restaurant was almost 3hrs long waiting for drinks/food. Also, the whole staff was all 18yrs old or younger and the other half of the staff didn’t speak English. The worst part of it all, was that we waited all that time and the food was mediocre at best. Never going back.

Menu offered at the restaurant was different than what the online menu was. Had to order from the online menu for more vegetarian options. Appetizer plates were dirty and had food on them. Drink orders were forgotten and when they arrived, one drink had a foreign food goober on it 1 Entree came out with incorrect toppings 2 Entrees were missing Great news was the manager offered to take the items that were mishandled off the check and the 2 Entrees that did come out, came out looking and tasting great.
