La Mansion de Montitlan is a very unique restaurant. We are located in a private home and open only on Sunday from 1 pm to 3 pm. The restaurant sits on the side of a mountain with a stunning view of San Miguel de Allende. Our menu changes each week except for the well known and outstanding Southern Fried Chicken. Ms. Paulson is extremely talented and has studied in Culinary schools in Paris and Italy. Our staff is expertly trained and the service is impeccable. When you make reservations on OpenTable add your email address and you will be sent a menu, by email, for the Sunday of your reservations. In a return email you will include the number of reservations, time and entree selections of your choice.

Amazing place. Absolutely recommend this if you are ever there on Sunday. She is selling her place so not sure if she will keep doing this so go soon before you miss out. Everything was so nice. This is a very cost and intimate type dinner/brunch party feeling as it's in the chef's beautiful home. Many of the guest knew each other many or non-Mexican residents of SMA and apparently meet up regularly or at least on special occasions. Service was very good. The food was amazing! Thanks for giving us such a wonder experience.

This is a lovely brunch location. I totally missed reading that it is byob, but they found us a bottle of wine. The food was excellent, as was the service.

I guess it's a nice and different place to have a good meal. They have an amazing service but I have to say that it's quite expensive for what you get (perhaps it wasn't their best day), the food is good and they even offer you to serve you more to eat when you're done. We were four persons and had the fried chicken and the mushroom pasta.

This was a return visit for me and my friends and, La Mansion once again excelled in all areas. The fried chicken was the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. The seasoning was delicious. The dining patio is beautiful overlooking the city. CONNIE was so friendly and accommodating to our last minute “changed plans”. I highly recommend a visit but you do need to make reservations.

This is a lovely weekly dinner, only on Sunday afternoons, hosted by the owner of a beautiful, stately home with a great view of the city below. The crowd is mostly older gringos, and the menu seems geared toward giving them a taste of home. On our visit, the entree choices were Chicken Tikka Masala, BBQ Beef Brisket and Southern Fried Chicken, and all were outstanding. What would have been nice to know in advance is that the dinner is BYOB, including setups if you prefer to bring liquor. In all, a tasteful and elegant way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Not exactly a great bargain by local standards, but the food and ambiance were excellent.

It was a lovely setting and very special in that regard. The service was very good. We thought the food was disappointing. We had three choices. The beef selection that day was stringy and not very appealing. The chicken was ok but not special

The owner didn’t give us any directions, nor a phone number, the one phone number we found was disconnected. I sent her an email saying we couldn’t find the place, and NEVER heard back from her. It was a total bust, I would never repeat this experience. I’m rating star simply because it wouldn’t let me submit with no stars.
