La Maison Verte
We went for lunch and had the duck leg, the meat was fine however among the best part of duck is the skin, unfortunately ours was uneatable due to remaking feathers, I finished the meat as our waitress was not to be found and we were there for lunch with limited time. Her reaction once we told her was “ oh that shouldn’t be there” My daughter had the liver. She asked for it to be cooked medium unfortunately it was well done. Same reaction when we confronted the waitress “oh I’m sorry. In the ten minutes it took us to try find the waitress we chose to eat what we could.
We were limited on our time. The dessert was fine.
This is uncharacteristic for this restaurant as was the reaction with not solution... to bad for us!
My overall experience with this establishment was not that enjoyable. The quality of the food could have been much better as I found the meat dish to be quite chewy and the prawn , cold and not served to my expectations.
One positive was the level of service received.
Our experience at La Maison Verte was an enjoyable one. We’ve eaten there before, and it’s a reliable option we keep returning to. We have never been disappointed. It’s a great spot for a quiet, romantic dinner, or for lunch.
My wife and I had a lovely evening at la Maison Verte. There was a wedding reception happening on the evening we reserved but we were seated in a small room next to it with about five tables. It was very cozy and quiet being separated from the noise in the other room. We both had items from the table d’hote menu and the servings were well timed. Desert was amazing. I ordered their Apple pie which the waiter warned it would take about 20 minutes. It was worth the wait as they bake an individual open tart pie for you. We will be back again!
We had a very good 3 coarse lunch with coffee at a great price !
Cozy place, can be romantic place to go 'if' there are no groups that night. I wish the restaurant would make it a rule to separate groups to ensure a better experience for everyone. Otherwise service, food and ambiance are perfect for a quiet evening with friends and/or partner.
We went for the Lunch Table d’hôte or was a great !
3 coarse’s from meats to pastas to seafood & fish with tea or coffee with vey good service and a great ambiance! They also have a complete menu with several choices to satisfy every palette.
Nice environment and excellent service. Absolutely good value.
Thank you very much, as always the food is excellent!!
Very pleasant surprise. Return after about 15 years absence. Would return.
You’re restaurant is a gem ....it’s been awhile so nice I’ve been there, but will return soon....
While I had been here for lunch a few times this was a first for dinner. If one arrives and orders by 7:00 P.M. the value is outstanding; four courses for $22.00. Service was informal and welcoming while prompt. The cream soup seemed a little watery. I think this kind of soup should stick to the spoon. Otherwise the beef, the trout, their respective sauces, the perfectly cooked veggies and the desserts were excellent. We drank beer and certainly no problem with it.
The food was slow to arrive. It was served on plates so hot you could burn yourself but the food itself was cold.
Nobody came to check if anything was wrong or to fill the water glasses.
When the waitress came to clear the plates and was told the food was cold she just ignored it, did not even say sorry.
The manager when we caught her said sorry, reduced the bill a little excusing the poor service on being unexpectedly busy.
Excellent! À y retourner sans faute! Ambiance chaleureuse
Booked a last minute reservation through Open Table for family lunch with my husband and daughter and went well. We chose the table d'hôte a midi options which includes soup/salad, main, dessert, & coffee/tea in the end. Food we're served light, fresh and with the right amount of serving (not too much/little). I had the daily fish (trout) with creamy lemony-type sauce which I loved. The roasted veggies on the side was great! Dessert available was an amaretto mango cake which was very light and tasty. I thought I didn't have space to consume dessert but I ate the slice after all. The only thing for improvement I suggest is to improve timing in between courses. There should be no big gaps / waiting time for every course. Overall, we enjoyed the lunch service and pricing is reasonable and worth it.
Awesome service, food was very good, place is noce
The gastronomic menu gave us the opportunity to savor many dishes which erected all very flavorful impeccable friendly service a warm welcome beautiful decor will recommend to all my contacts
Food is really really good and terasse is a must in summer as it is closed with screen, so no bugs. Only down is the little starter offered by the restaurant...we've been several time over the past 3 years and that starter is always made of chickpeas and granite made of lime. Time for a change!
Excellent food - Good food - Authentic Quebec architecture home
What else can I say? It was a great dinner and everything was jus perfect
No special occasion for my wife and I other than to try out La Maison Verte for the first time.
The establishment , a heritage home converted to a restaurant had it's own special charm, Quaint and charming with a terrace on the top floor of the building.
The food was good but not great, the service was very efficient and timely and found it somewhat pricey for what you ultimately receive.
At least it can be said that we tried it tried it once but have no intention on going back any time soon.
Great food, well executed in a quiet/romantic ambiance
They have put together a gr8 table d'hote that changes I think monthly.
Friendly service very good food in a cozy comfortable atmosphere...
My husband and I dined at Maison Vert for the first time after hearing so many great things about it. We were not disappointed...the restaurant is very charming and cozy and we received top notch service from our waiter Jacques. The food was excellent and don't forget to leave room for dessert...the apple pie is delicious!
We shall be back :)
