Good lunch spot near the Brown Palace. It is very busy, so you definitely need to reserve a table on Open Table.
As always, La Loma has the best green chili in Greater Denver Area. We do miss the convenience of the old location
It was a Friday night, but when you have a reservation you should not have to wait more than 5-10 minutes for a table. Then when we were at the table it was another 15 minutes before we got chips and salsa and 10 minutes after that before we even got water. The food here is incredible but I will have to expect really slow service next time.
Always a great experience. Don't like always being shoved to the back of the restaurant despite having a reservation when other better tables are available but it seems to be this restaurants way.
I enjoy everything about La Loma, however, the service can be slow at times, albeit, I'm sure it is simply because it is so busy. It won't dissuade me from returning, but people should know, you'll be there longer than an hour.
I really enjoyed this casual spot. Fantastic guacamole and chili! Had the mixed fajitas (chicken, beef and shrimp) for 2....all excellent. Very good Cadillac Margarita. Great meal and atmosphere.
Server was very friendly and the food was delicious! Cannot go wrong with the bottomless mimosas here! Great place!
The service was great from valet to table. The famous green chili was quite good. It was quite loud, though but understandable for the size of the space and that it was a Saturday evening.
Great restaurant for a quick business lunch. Atmosphere and service were great, the food came out really fast, and everything was delicious.
Best Mexican food..,,period!!!! Fresh made everything. Great service. Margaritas best ever!
Yes, it was as good as it used to be in its old location. The food was very good, including the chips and salsa. The service was very friendly and as prompt as could be expected for a very busy night. Of course the décor is different from the past, but it is more cozy and more sophisticated. The only drawback is the noise level; conversation is difficult. We all enjoyed our meals and will return.
Great Food. Hands down the best Chili Rellenos in the universe. New location for La Loma downtown is really noisy. To the point of being fatiguing. Next time, I'll do take out.
MAKE A RESERVATION. Service is great and food gets to the table quick, which makes for a great lunch location IF you reserve a table. Seems to quiet down enough to walk-in around 1pm. Combo plates are good, but generic. I recommend ordering their more authentic meals - Carne Guisada is my favorite so far!
La Loma is a favorite! Always great food and great service!
Great Tex Mex food! Everything is freshly made from the chips guacamole chili refried beans great tacos great veggie option
Service was terrific and great cocktails ! Will definitely be back!
This our fourth time at La Loma. We come to visit our nephew at DU three times a year and love taking him and all his friends to La Loma. it is one of the highlights of our trip. The ambiance is fun and lively and the food and drinks are great. We take 6-8 people and find the prices are very reasonable for such great food.
I don't know that I will be coming back . Been here twice now (new location) and it is Always toooooo hot in this restaurant (especially in the back by where the tortillas are made). If you are able to sit by the front door where the wind blows in it would be better (I have never been seated where me or my party was comfortable). It is also pretty loud and hard to hear each other speaking. Service isn't that great. I have had better food for much less, while being more comfortable.
My husband and I had an Open Table reservation at 5 pm on a Friday evening before going to the Paramount Theater. This restaurant is across the street from the Brown Palace Hotel and was less than a 5 minute walk to the Paramount Theater. When we arrived we were seated immediately and informed they had the regular dinner menu and a Happy Hour menu till 6 pm. we immediately given chips and salsa which were fresh and tasty. The Happy Hour menu was a great deal with margaritas at $5 and many kinds of beer at $4 and 5$. Wine was also offered at $5 per glass. Many kinds of delicious appetizers and combination appetizers were also offered at $5. I highly recommend this restaurant for Happy Hour with great service, great food and drinks, and an altogether great deal
I have always enjoyed La Loma for the food and the people.
I am sad that the old location was torn down for apartment buildings and stuff.
The new location is nice too!
La Loma is always fantastic, but please don't go -- it's getting hard to get in!
Absolutely my favorite Mexican restaurant in the greater Denver area! The food tastes like it is still home made, and the service is always spot on. You can’t go wrong at La Loma!
This was by far the best Mexican food we have ever eaten! The service was wonderful and the restaurant is beautiful.
Very good margarita and guacamole. The carne dish was over cooked and too salty. I asked for two additional tortillas and they charged me for them. Not a good value.
Dinner was wonderful as always! That's why it's our favorite Mexican restaurant!
Still the best green chili in town. A meal at La Loma never disappoints.
The food and service was great as always. Although, I do miss the old location.
Very good. Some of the best fajitas I've had. Great food and staff.
We've been dining at La Loma for 40 years but this was our first time for dinner at the new location. We dined early, 4:30pm, so we didn't get free valet parking. We lucked out finding a meter about 4 blocks away, but it is a pain. I've been to the new location for lunch a couple of times, and the surrounding lots are usually full.
The food was as fabulous as ever, but it is very noisy. The decorating is much more hip than the original location, but it is all hard surfaces with high ceilings and it is nearly impossible to have a conversation. That said, as always, we came for the food and were not disappointed!
La Loma is one of my favorite places to eat as well at entertain. The service is always excellent and your staff is great! I highly recommend to anybody!
Always amazing. My staff and I have monthly lunchs at La Loma!
This was our first time since the move to downtown Denver. Food was good. The waitress was rushing us trying to clear the plates before everyone is finished. She suggested dessert before everyone was finished. And then bought the check before we ordered dessert. Felt very rushed. Will probably not go back
La Loma is top notch every time I have visited. Best Mexican food I've ever had!
We had visited the La Loma in North Denver and loved going to it and then to the football game.
Although, it does not have the outside dining, the staff, food and margarita's are still one of the best examples on how to do it!
Everything was perfect! Our server was great and helped us choose drinks. We highly recommend the guacamole, Chile rellenos and the tequila grilled shrimp. Food was fantastic!
This was our first visit. Staff was friendly but sparse. Didn't check on us after food was quickly served. Had to flag our waiter down to get another drink. Excellent food though.
We LOVE La Loma! Great chips and salsa, food is always fresh and tasty. The service is phenomenal!! Hostesses/Hosts are super friendly, walk you to your table and before they barely walk away, someone brings chips and salsa and water, the table is continually being cleaned up, your drinks are always full, people are just genuine and friendly. Our favorite is Jose!! Wonderful experience- so happy to have you in our neighborhood!
It was very rushed and the food appeared to be made in advance.
Best Mexican food in Colorado! Like the old location better and this one gets a little noisy but still fantastic place all around
My meal was great and service was very nice. Will be back soon.
La Loma has long been one of the best Mexican restaurants in Denver. Although their space in downtown is much smaller than their original location, the beautiful paintings & wood accents help retain the atmosphere of their original dwelling. The food is beyond compare, the service impeccable, and the warmth and welcoming remain. I shouldn't be writing this because it will only encourage more people to try it! Reserve 2 weeks in advance if you want to get the day/time you need!
