Friendly service. Good food. Excellent deserts. There for Restaurant Week.
The server lady was very nice.
The food was absolutely delicious but I would not go back. Our waiter took at least 15 minutes to take our order, never checked on us after the food came and we were 10 seconds from walking out because he never brought the check.
La Locanda serves splendid Northern Italian cuisine. Carlos is a wonderful host.
The food was great; it was restaurant night. We had two packaged deals. I had chicken parmigiana and the wife had lobster risotto. The desserts were excellent too. The only negative; you have to pay for bread 🥖
Angel was the best. Pampered us and steered our choices to the best dishes
My friend and I went to La Locanda for restaurant week. We loved the 3-course menu options and the food was tasty. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The restaurant was busy so it was loud but everyone managed and the food was delicious. Definitely recommend. 5-stars.
They are full/busy and seems like there’s only one person in the kitchen. As u can imagine, there’s quite a wait even for dessert (took a while to make the panacotta and cheesecake?)
Our waiter was nice, but he wasn’t wearing a mask and sadly huffing and puffing in our face whenever he stops at our table.
This was my first time here and will be the last. Their food was good. We were seated promptly and then almost had to ask them where our next course was, for the rest of the meal... our waiter ran by when he did come by. It took 2.5 hours for us to finish 3 courses. It was a disjointed experience. We even had to ask for our bill. There were lots of staff running around so they didn't seem short - they just weren't coordinated in any way we could see.
Sergio is the best waiter. We always have amazing food and service. It’s so personal. You interact with everyone. The live band in certain night is amazing. It’s like the family, local Italian restaurant you never knew you needed. The food is so delicious and flavorful. Everything on the menu is worth ordering. We always have a hard time deciding. I highly recommend going and supporting a great local business.
The service and the food were both excellent. It was a nice place to celebrate a birthday.
Found this gem while searching OpenTable for restaurants in the vicinity of an art show we were attending. The reviews drew me in, and the experience did not disappoint. We started by sharing a chopped salad and house garlic bread...SO SO GOOD! My husband had the Filet special, and myself the Lobster risotto. Both meals were amazing! The service and drinks, ambience were perfect. Will definitely return. HIGHLY recommend.
Excellent food and service.
Wonderful discovery! Excellent service & fantastic food. Will be back!
Great food, great service
My friend and I have been coming to Scottsdale for 20+!years. We had some
great meals at Italian restaurants. I think he’d agree with me when I say this was The best from start to end.
Maybe a hidden gem, but it shouldn’t be.
Great destination for dinner in old town Scottsdale!
Fantastic food along with service.
Great food and service, as always.
We were really looking forward to trying La Locanda. But as soon as we sat down, we started to worry. The seats were terrible and sat very low relative to the table. The ambiance is very loud and it made it hard for four young adults to hear the waiter. The Florentine style steaks were good but not great. The lobster risotto was a bust. The bill was $200. In the end, though it gives me no pleasure to say so, we will not be back.
The service was very personal. The food was excellent. Hidden treasure
We loved the lobster bisque! Super tender veal chop. Service is excellent. We'll be back.
the food was amazing! Eduardo was a great server.
This was our first time here and it reminded us of our days at our favorite restaurants in New Jersey. This was a hopping crowd, and it was busy and loud. Service was inconsistent, but it did not faze us as it blended in with the atmosphere. The food was outstanding. The kitchen was hopping and the fact they got the order PERFECT was amazing. It was hot, tasty, memorable and left us wanting to try more of the menu. More working here than meets the eye and we recommend highly as a hidden gem. It took us 14 years to find it and we are glad we did. Well done team!!
The food, our waiter and the ease of making a reservation were terrific. It was pretty noisy, but not over the top. The most uncomfortable thing was the room temperature. We started out fine but as the place filled up, he became quite warm. I would definitely go back. Delicious!
I made a reservation and we were seated promptly. We ordered a drink and waited for our other party member. While we waited we ordered an appetizer. I had mussels which were okay but not great. Unfortunately the other person was not able to join us so we let our waiter know and put in our dinner order. We watched as others came in ordered and dined all while we were waiting on our dinner. We were not once offered any additi
Everything was great about the food and service. Will be back again for sure ….. didn’t catch the waiters name but he was amazing !!! He the waiter who son works in the kitchen.
The menu here is consistently outstanding and the lobster risotto is a must try!
Loved the authenticity of the ambiance, food and service. We will definitely be back!
We came for the live jazz on Thursdays and we loved the food!
They offer a fruit infused bourbon that was wonderful. The Osso Buco was probably the beast I ever had. The Jazz ensemble was a nice touch. I wish I could remember our server's name because she was excellent and a lot of fun.
This was our first visit to this establishment but definitely won’t be our last! The food was superb and portions large. I had the osso buco and it was fall off the bone tender. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. And the tiramisu….make sure you save room for dessert….it was the best I’ve ever had!
Amazing Italian food!!!! My whole family who came in town and love authentic Italian food was thrilled about this restaurant. We got the sausage and garlic bread as an appetizer. SO YUMMY!!! Cajun chicken fettuccini and squid ink fettuccine with the sea food was absolutely delicious. Everything was cooked so well, was light but still filling. We loved our server too, I believe his name was Barbillo. The cheesecake and carrot cake was perfect. All around fantastic. Will be back.
This place feels like a local neighborhood restaurant. The food was incredible. All 4 of us loved the wine selection and all of our food. Try this place if you love Italian Food. You will be happy you did!
Eduardo was incredible..
Food, wine, dessert
.. everything was a 10
Fantastic dinner, excellent host and server. A must do for Italian foodies.
Great food! Jazz was a plus and very enjoyable! Staff was awesome! Love it and would definitely go back!
First time in Scottsdale and just happened on this restaurant - can’t wait to go back!!
Our dining experience was amazing! Fabulous food and great service…
