This is our third visit to this restaurant and we were not disappointed.
We had a very good meal and excellent service.
The restaurant is great for a family get-together as the prices are very fair and the menu is
extensive where you will find something you like.
Great dinner!! So many choices and each of our six meals were delicious!!! Server was very helpful with recommendations. Very friendly restaurant with delicious food that would be good for a date or a family dinner!
The food was great, especially the pasta with mushroom, the sauces in all dishes also tasted very authentic. The services put a damper on the experience. They were clearly operating short staffed or were not investing in staffing at appropriate levels. Though out wait staff was very pleasant, they were running around for multiple tables and we had to wait long periods before getting her attention. I would recommend the restaurant for its food, but the service was far from even acceptable.
The menu was heavy on the pasta dishes, and light on the meat entrees. But the pasta was excellent, and the service was great. My water glass was filled every time it got to half full.
Nice view of the art deco building across the street.
Food was amazing as was the service. Felt like we were transported to Italy. Very authentic!
Lovely place to dinner with friends and my girlfriend.
We chose this restaurant as it offered vegan options - we are a mixed crowd of meat eaters and vegans. As it turned out the vegan options was the vegetarian pasta courses made with glutenfree pasta. Fair enough - but not good enough to emphazise the wish for vegan food and to be offered mushroom truffle gluten free pasta only to receive a dish swimming in butter. The dish was replaced when we complained, but the vegan had to eat alone as it took 30 minutes to make a new one with olive oil.
This is a lovely old world restaurant one block off Ocean Drive in trendy South Beach. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. The atmosphere is very cozy but not crowded. Well worth a visit.
We were a group of 6 & we were we’ll accommodated:. Service was very good. Our waitress Vanessa was friendly & helpful with our choices. Food was very good from the focaccia in the beginning to the seafood risotto, porcini risotto, tagliatelle with porcini. For dessert we had italian cheesecake which was excellent. Will definitely go back.
Great friendly service, delicious varied food choices, never disappoints.
They greet you like you're an old friend coming for dinner. The food is delicious and the pizza is fantastic! Neighborhood gem! One of my favorites on the beach.
One of the best genuine Italian restaurant in Miami Beach
Amazing fresh made Pasta and Pizza. The Special SeaFood risotto was outstanding. Very nice wine selection too.
Authentic Italian, really good food, pizza baker just needs to watch out he doesn't grill his pizza to black burned
Great food and a great atmosphere.
Used to be our favorite Italian... but this time food was late and bad... drinks were watery and tasteless. Something had changed since last summer
Fabulous fresh, handcrafted pasta! The young woman who waited on us was delightful! It was worth the drive from West Palm Beach. We are looking forward to returning to enjoy another meal.
The food was not very good. The Fruita de mar was way too salty, the pear tortellini was good but the cheese sauce was lumping and cold, and the lobster ravioli was tasteless. Sorry.
We found this restaurant about a year ago and just love the atmosphere and food.
Food was phenomenal and the service was excellent. The staff was very nice and accommodating to all our needs.
Was good. Good Italian food
Awesome atmosphere, very friendly waiting staff. Felt welcome and well served. The best experience I had in Miami in terms of quality of service.
The was good. However, the bread and the dipping sauce were cold. The service was also good. I did like the place and I would recommend it.
Great great food
We were looking for places to eat in Miami Beach, as our daughter just over there. This place was highly rated by several sources, and did not disappoint in any way. Terrific pastas, authentic pizza, great appetizers, and a very good wine selection. The staff was also a standout, for their warmth, sense of humor, and helpfulness. We even got a few Italian lessons. All in all a great evening. We will definitely be back.
LaLocanda is my favorite local walk to Italian restaurant. It was my birthday and family came to town to celebrate. They all loved their food, the wine, the service!!!
Great food we sometimes drive 2 hours just for dinner here. Best Italian you will find. Owner is almost always there great staff. Fantastic lasagne. Very reasonable pricing for the area. I recommend it to all y friends. DEFINITELY worth a stop or the drive to find it
Really great food!
College roommate & her 2 friends in Miami enroute to Cuba - I've enjoyed la Locanda's authentic Italian Menu in the past and it was a hit once again.. I didn't care much for the wine recommended by helpful proprietor but didn't realize that til after it was poured for all. My error! Everything else was perfect- especially the pear-purses and fennel salad.outside ambiance noisy- close to street.-:
Great as usual
As always, friendly, welcoming and accommodating staff! Bene! Molte Bene!
Excellent as usual, great neighbourhood gem, great staff, great food.
Had a reservation for 9pm. Got there 5 minutes early. No table ready until 9:30pm. Finally went to a neighboring restaurant which was full but they made up a table for us to accommodate us immediately!!
We had a reservation for 8:00 and didn't get seated until after 9. It just wasn't up to their usual standards. Food was just ok, service not good, just not a good night. It was a total madhouse and they made it worse by overbooking.
While our server was very helpful, the food quality was poor. My shrimp were over cooked and didn't seem to have the lemon butter sauce that was listed on the menu. The steak entree my son ordered was over cooked and tough. Looks like the pizza is the best bet at this place. I was disappointed with the meal especially In light of the reviews on line.
Black linguini with shrimp is delicious and so was the calamari appetizer
Not bad however it was just average. And of course being South Beach pricy.
I've been there many, many times. To me, honestly, the best pizza you can get in Miami (keep in mind I'm Italian...). Also the restaurant's menu is excellent, indeed.
The staff is always super kind, smiling and polite, and so is the owner, always welcoming and taking good care of you.
We enjoy take out here but last week, I took a friend to dinner at the restaurant I had a bad experience. I had the special of the day pizza...all of the pizzas on the menu are about $12-14...I chose the special of the day pizza, which was not price listed on the menu and they didn't say the price..( which they should have) I was out with a friend and didn't want to ask for the price ( embarrassing to ask a pizza price)and when I received the bill they charged me $39 for the pizza...a pure rip off.
Restaurant did not have my reservation when we arrived!! They were gracious and sat us anyway!
Food is always good and everyone friendly.
