Beautiful meal great service. Would definitely revisit!
Food was fantastic. I would say you get what you pay for.
Great Happy Hour value for wine and appetizers. Since I only had the HH appetizers, I can’t comment on the main menu. The sliders were great; the arancini mediocre, but nice crunchy breading; pizza was fine. There were 7 of us dining al fresco, and we thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance.
Great service and great food as usual. Friendly and attentive staff.
We were celebrating my mother's birthday. Service was good and food was delicious. The waiter even brought out a Happy Birthday Brownie. Thanks for taking care of us.
Lunch on Labor Day. Casual, friendly and superb service. We wanted to take our time and enjoy the afternoon. The staff was informative, attentive without bothering us and very, very courteous. We were greeted promptly, seated and served bread and pizza strips hot from the pizza over. Super delish. It was a fabulous way to spend a hot holiday afternoon.
Our anniversary lunch was fabulous. Good service as usual and the food was excellent. We finished the meal with coffee and biscottis which I love!!!!
I am Italian. I am very critical of Italian restaurants because I can cook at home a million times better. So that’s likely not fair to them. But come on. Pasta - cook it 3 minutes less than it says on the box and serve it quickly. It needs to be al dente; not so over cooked you can make glue with it. Any red sauce, why do American chefs like to burn the garlic to the point that everything tastes like it? Make it golden and remove it. Allow the flavors of the seafood to come out, not the garlic. The lentil soup was ok. But that’s though to mess up. The short rib was sweet. Who puts sugar in their food? That’s not Italian. Risotto - you can’t boil the rise in the morning, warm it up and call it risotto. It takes 30 minutes to make risotto. Any Italian restaurant back home will tell you and patrons know it. If you want a good risotto you wait. If your patrons don’t want to wait, don’t make risotto, or call it extra boiled extra cooked rice.
Why is it that Houston just can’t produce a decent Italian restaurant? The only one we had, years ago, Simposio, went out of business. And Da Marco is now closed. So, last night, yes another disappointment.
This used to be one of our go-to restaurants, but the food quality has gone down drastically. The charcuterie board was almost inedible, the salad was sloppily drenched in too much dressing, the lasagna was burned, the pasta was super sweet (odd), & we were given a bottle of wine that had gone bad. After the charcuterie board, we didn’t even bother complaining - obviously this is their new standard of quality.
The staff seemed to be stretched thin to say the least. We had no idea who our waiter was - they seemed to be trying to cover for each other.
It’s a shame because this was such an easy place to get a nice meal without too much fuss. Unfortunately we won’t be back.
Skip the pizza and go for the pasta! Service was great
Always a pleasure!
Service and food were perfect. Their cauliflower crust pizza is soooo delicious. I always enjoy the very kind service at LaGriglia.
Excellent service, the chicken parm was cooked perfectly and seasoned appropriately and the fettuccine alfredo was excellent. Also reasonably priced. I would definitely dine here again!!
We used to eat here 10 years ago when we lived in Houston. Ate here with the kids while we were evacuated Louisiana from Hurricane Ida and It’s still amazing. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the service was excellent. The short ribs are to die for.
I had the best time with my friends as a girls night!! We shared a few apps and pasta - try the seafood cheesecake & the short rib pasta!
Pleasant evening to sit on the patio. Service was very attentive.
Great wine menu and good food choices. The energy in LaGriglia is always good!
Visited for Houston Restaurant week, and because we hadn’t been here in awhile. Great ambiance, and a wonderful selection of Italian and Seafood entrees. Everything from our drinks (I had a refreshing, Blood Orange Martini) to the entrees were wonderfully prepared. I particularly enjoyed the spinach stuffed ravioli-type, 2nd course on the Restaurant week’s menu, and my grilled trout with an olive and tomato topping was excellent. Oh, and the strawberry cheesecake?? We’ll be back for that as well!!
Fifteen years away from this long-time Houston favorite. I wish Colorado had anything that compares…
Had a nice Sunday family dinner. Everyone enjoyed their dishes and the service was excellent as always.
The Brick Chicken on the menu is a complete ripoff. The waiter said it was a full chicken but it wasn’t. Not even close. I had to order another entrée. I ordered The rotisserie chicken which was much better.
Amazing and consistent, great location and top service, I love this restaurant and highly recommend.
Great Cypress salad, and enjoyed the veal. Nice atmosphere and attentive service
I had requested a table in a corner away from high traffic and they had a table waiting for us per my request. Really appreciated them paying attention to this request. My husband enjoyed his veal and risotto. Very much and I tried it and loved it too. My pasta dish was also very good. Loved the lemon meringue pie that was a limited offering. Also the cookies with after dinner cappuccino is always great.
Three of us ate from the Houston Restaurant Week menu, and it was fabulous, and a great value. The food was so good, and I loved the decor. Waiters and staff were very attentive. The other person in our party ate from the regular menu, and he said it was good. We ordered coffee, and they brought a plate of cookies and biscotti with it.
Everything was very good. Service was a little slow, but note the date; they may be having difficulty re-staffing after the pandemic close-down.
Love the food !!
The cocktails, food and atmosphere are always a pleasure here . It’s been a “go to” for us for many, many years. Tonight’s rating is not the norm but circumstances this particular evening can’t give credit any differently. Issues to be addressed with management.
Great food, but very loud.
We were seated in a high traffic area which led to an outdoor dining area. The only reason we didn't 5* was due to that constant foot traffic right by us.
Great as usual. And the best dirty martinis in River Oaks!
Ian our server was attentive and helpful in answering questions. The staff in general was attentive and polite. You could easily hear the conversation at the table and also was not aware of other conversations. The Food as always is wonderful. Flavorful without being overpowering. This is a special place and for a special person or event where one should go.
Arrived early for reservation to catch happy hour. Nice bar area and drinks were good.
Left there to go be seated and found service to be very good. Ordered bottle of wine with dinner.
My meal the seafood pasta was very good.
Overall would recommend to my friends for dinner.
Dinner is always a treat! The food and service was excellent we love Henry he is awesome!
Exceptional! The food was amazing, the service was amazing. This was our first time dining here but won’t be our last. Henry made sure we had everything we needed before we even knew we even knew it ourselves. Great place!
Went for my husbands birthday for a chill, low key evening. We arrived about 10 minutes late, and the hostess happily accommodated is (which we were very thankful for). We chose to dine outdoors due to Covid. Ambiance was amazing, and exactly what we were looking for. Food was pretty good, and served very well. Waiter had a hard time keeping up, and we had to search for him several times to get water/drink refills and to make additional requests. My guess is that this is attributed to a shortage in waitstaff overall. All in all, we would return…but maybe when we can sit inside and be more attended to.
The service was very attentive and the food was absolutely delicious. We had the shrimp and crab cake cheesecake appetizer and everyone at the table loved it. Entrees were pasta and swordfish and were very good. We have been here several times and will continue to return. It has been excellent every time.
Very nice service. Very accommodating
